Glandore (postcode 5037) is a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia, partly in the City of Marion and partly in the City of West Torrens. The name is believed to come from Glandore in County Cork, Ireland, whence the family of John O'Dea, one of the original property owners of the area, came.

Badcoe is a single-member electoral district for the South Australian House of Assembly. It was created by the redistribution conducted in 2016, and was contested for the first time at the 2018 state election.Badcoe lies south-west of the Adelaide city centre and includes the suburbs of Keswick, Ashford, Forestville, Everard Park, Black Forest, Clarence Park, Clarence Gardens, Kurralta Park, Glandore, Edwardstown, Ascot Park, North Plympton, South Plympton and parts of Millswood and Plympton. At its creation, Badcoe was projected to be notionally held by the Labor Party with a swing of 4.2% required to lose it.: Appendix 12 Badcoe is named after Peter John Badcoe (1934–1967) who grew up in Adelaide before joining the Australian Army in 1952. He served in artillery and infantry and was killed in the Vietnam War.Badcoe was created as a replacement for Ashford, which was abolished at the 2018 state election. In February 2017 the member for Ashford, Steph Key, announced that she did not intend to contest the 2018 election.

Emerson Crossing, the 'South Road Overpass' or simply 'the Overpass' are the informal names given to the intersection of South Road, Cross Road and the Seaford railway line in Adelaide, South Australia. South Road crosses north–south over both Cross Road and the diagonal railway via a large bridge built in the early 1980s. This was done in an attempt to cater for the ever increasing amount of traffic which went through the intersection and was constantly congested during peak hour times. Emerson railway station is located in the north eastern corner of the crossing. The station and crossing are both named after Emerson Street, a small dead end road just north of the intersection along South Road, in the suburb of Black Forest.The grade separation at Emerson Crossing is by a 3-span bridge. The centre span is 40 metres (130 ft), with a 31.2 metres (102 ft) span each end. The abutments and embankments were constructed using the reinforced earth system and completed in 1983. The main bridge work was awarded to Baulderstone. It was commenced in January 1984 and was completed in 13 months. The overpass was designed by the Highways Department of South Australia. It incorporates Texas U-turn facilities. It was officially opened jointly by John Bannon (the Premier of South Australia) and Peter Morris (the Federal Minister of Transport) on 14 March 1985.

Emerson railway station is located on the Seaford and Flinders lines. Situated in the inner south-western Adelaide suburb of Black Forest, it is 7.1 kilometres from Adelaide station.

The Anzac Highway is an 8.7-kilometre-long (5.4 mi) main arterial road heading southwest from the city of Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, to the beachside suburb of Glenelg.Originally named the Bay Road (which remains an informal synonym), it mostly follows the track made by the pioneer James Chambers from Holdfast Bay, the first governor's landing site, to Adelaide. It gained its current name in 1923 to honour the contribution of the ANZACs (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) in World War I. The highway is serviced by a 15-minute "Go Zone", serviced by the 262, 263 and 265 buses.

Edwardstown railway station is located on the Seaford and Flinders lines. Situated in the inner south-western Adelaide suburb of Edwardstown, it is 7.9 kilometres from Adelaide station.

Ashford is a former electorate for the South Australian Legislative Assembly which included many of Adelaide's inner south western suburbs. The district formed part of three federal electorates: the Division of Hindmarsh, the Division of Boothby, and the Division of Adelaide. The former electorate included the suburbs of Ashford, Black Forest, Camden Park, Clarence Gardens, Clarence Park, Cumberland Park, Everard Park, Forestville, Glandore, Keswick, Kings Park, Novar Gardens and Plympton as well as parts of Edwardstown, Goodwood, Millswood, Plympton Park, South Plympton and Wayville. The former electorate covered an area of approximately 14.6 square kilometres (5.6 sq mi). The electorate's name derives from the name given by early settler Charles George Everard to his property 'Ashford' in 1838 that was thought to have the best orchard in the colony. The name was also given to a suburb within the electorate. The district of Hanson was renamed to Ashford at the 2002 election. Hanson was re-drawn from a marginal Liberal to a marginal Labor electorate at the 1993 election. Often redistributed in all directions, particularly north and east, the only constant suburb in Ashford and Hanson has been the western half of Plympton. Incumbent Liberal MP Heini Becker moved to Peake, now West Torrens, however Ashford was still narrowly won by Liberal candidate Stewart Leggett. Up until its abolition, the seat was held by Labor member Steph Key who defeated Leggett at the 1997 election. A redistribution prior to the 2014 election saw Labor's margin significantly reduced from 4.8 percent to 0.6 percent however Labor retained the seat with an increased margin of 1.9 percent. Ashford was replaced by Badcoe at the 2018 election; with a significant increase to the Labor margin in the seat resulting from the 2016 electoral redistribution. Key announced in February 2017 that she would retire from parliament as of the 2018 election.

Black Forest is an inner southern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. It is located in the City of Unley, bounded by the Glenelg tram line (north-west), the Seaford railway line (south-east), South Road (west) and East Avenue (east).

Tabor College is an Australian Christian tertiary college offering a range of liberal arts courses from certificate to post-graduate studies in the areas of counselling, education, ministry, performing arts, mission, youth studies and humanities. The college is based in Adelaide, South Australia with a campus in Perth. The Adelaide campus, formerly including the national headquarters, is housed in heritage listed buildings in Millswood, which were formerly the Goodwood Orphanage and more recently an education centre.

Everard Park is a small inner south-western suburb of Adelaide in the City of Unley, once part of the extensive land holdings of the prominent colonist Dr. Charles George Everard, and the location of "Marshfield", the home of part of his family. It is also the location of Ackland House, built for chaff merchant William Ackland in 1901.The suburb is bounded by Anzac Highway to the northwest, South Road to the west, Norman Terrace and the Glenelg tram line to the southeast, and Third and Fourth Avenues to the east. Surrounding suburbs are Forestville, Ashford, Glandore and Black Forest. The triangular Everard Park Reserve is located in the northern part of the suburb surrounded by Africaine, Nibley and Hillsley Avenues. Aveo Ackland Park retirement village (named after Ackland House) and Lifecare Parkrose Village are located on Norman Terrace. The suburb is served by Glenelg tram stop 5 to the southeast, stop 6 to the south west, and by many bus routes along South Road and Anzac Highway. The art deco Roxy picture theatre building is located on Anzac Highway.

Clarence Gardens is an inner southern suburb of Metropolitan Adelaide, South Australia in the City of Mitcham, 4.6 kilometres south of the City Centre. It is bounded to the north by Cross Road, the west by South Road, the east by Winston Avenue and the south by Edward Street. There are many sporting venues in Clarence Gardens which include the Clarence Gardens Lawn Bowls club and the Clarence Gardens Rugby club, both of which are in the A.A. Bailey Recreational Ground facility. Clarence Gardens Post Office opened on 1 August 1946. It was renamed Clarence Gardens North in 1967 on the same day Edwardstown office (open since 1850) was renamed Clarence Gardens. The Clarence Gardens North office closed in 1980 and Clarence Gardens reverted to Edwardstown in 1987.

Clarence Park railway station is located on the Seaford and Flinders lines. Situated in the inner south-western Adelaide suburb of Clarence Park, it is 6.3 kilometres from Adelaide station.
