Harvey is a census-designated place (CDP) in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, United States. Harvey is on the south side (referred to as the "West Bank") of the Mississippi River, within the New Orleans–Metairie–Kenner metropolitan statistical area. The majority-minority population was 20,348 at the 2010 census, down from 22,226 at the 2000 census. The 2020 census determined 22,236 people lived in the CDP.

The station is owned by Crocodile Broadcasting and airs a Spanish-language tropical music radio format. The transmitter is on Industry Street in Harvey, Louisiana. By day, WFNO broadcasts at 1,000 watts, using a non-directional antenna. Because AM 1540 is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A KXEL Waterloo, Iowa, and ZNS-1 Nassau, Bahamas, WFNO is a daytimer, required to be off the air at night to avoid interference, when radio waves travel farther. Programming is also heard on a 250 watt FM translator in New Orleans. 97.5 K248BB can be heard around the clock, unlike the AM station.

It was founded in 1955. This is one of the schools in Jefferson Parish that offered the Laptop one to one initiative program. West Jefferson also offers transportation for students to and from school for free. This is a Title I school The school was damaged by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. It serves portions of several communities, including Harvey, Gretna, and Timberlane. All of Terrytown is in the West Jefferson attendance zone.

The 12th Ward or Twelfth Ward is a division of the city of New Orleans, Louisiana, one of the 17 Wards of New Orleans. The Ward was formerly part of the old Jefferson City annexed by New Orleans in 1870.
