The tower is separate from the church and the font of Catacleuse stone may be Norman (or 15th century work in the Norman style).A large monument of 1658 commemorates John Verman and his wife. The churchyard cross is a fine example of a Gothic stone cross. This cross is made of Pentewan stone; the crosshead is now incomplete as the upper limb is missing.Lamorran was an ancient parish, and became a civil parish in 1866. The civil parish was abolished on 1 April 1934 and absorbed into the civil parish of St Michael Penkevil. For ecclesiastical purposes the parish is now united with Merther to form the parish of Lamorran and Merther.

Treworlas is a hamlet west of Veryan, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom, part of the civil parish of Philleigh.Henry Jenner suggested that Treworlas was named after Gorlois, the legendary duke of Cornwall, who he believed was a real fifth or sixth century figure, either a petty chief who was a vassal of the Royal House of Dumnonia, or – if the leaders of the Britons that had been displaced by the Saxons had become the kings of Dumnonia – Gorlois may have been of the line of the original chiefs of the Dumnonii that had been supplanted by the Britons.

It is in the valley of the River Fal about three miles (5 km) southeast of Truro. The population at the 2021 census was 287. St Michael Penkivel lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Merther and Lamorran are within the parish.

Tolverne Cottage, also known as Smugglers Cottage, is a small Grade II-listed cottage in south Cornwall, England. It is situated within the civil parish of Philleigh, on the Roseland Peninsula on the River Fal, between Truro and St Mawes, north of the King Harry Ferry. Made from slatestone rubble, the building probably dates from the 17th century, but was extended in the 19th century. It was designated Grade II listed status on 25 June 1985. The area was used as the assembly point for American troops before the D-Day landings and General Eisenhower stayed at the cottage during preparations for the landing. His chair was amongst memorabilia at the cottage which was auctioned off in 2012. The cottage was also frequented by members of the SS Uganda society while the ship was laid up nearby in the Fal.

Truro and Falmouth is a constituency in Cornwall represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2019 by Cherilyn Mackrory of the Conservative Party. It is on the South West Peninsula of England, bordered by both the Celtic Sea to the northwest and English Channel to the south. Gerrans (Cornish: Gerens) is a coastal civil parish and village on the Roseland Peninsula in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The village adjoins Portscatho (the villages have almost merged into one but retain their identities) on the east side of the peninsula. The village is situated approximately seven miles (11 km) south-southeast of Truro.The name Gerrans derives from Gerent, a 6th-century Cornish saint. The parish runs north–south along the eastern side of the Roseland peninsula. It is bounded to the south and east by the sea, to the west by St Just in Roseland parish, and to the north by Philleigh parish. The population was 933 in the 2001 census, reducing to 794 at the 2011 census. Trewithian is the only settlement of any size in the parish apart from Gerrans and Portscatho. Gerrans lies within the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).
