The Stonehurst Family Farm and Motor Museum is a working farm and a motor museum located in the village of Mountsorrel, Leicestershire. The farm won the Leicestershire Tourism Award for Best visitor experience 2000/2001.

The Mountsorrel Railway was a network of industrial railway lines that served the granite quarries which dominate the Leicestershire village of Mountsorrel. After being closed in the 1950s, a section was reopened in 2015 as a heritage line run by the Mountsorrel & Rothley Community Heritage Centre.

Halstead Road Centenary Pasture is a 3.2-hectare (7.9-acre) local nature reserve in Mountsorrel, Leicestershire. It is owned and managed by Charnwood Borough Council.This unimproved flower meadow has surviving medieval ridge and furrow. An outcrop of granite is covered with lichens and mosses, and there is a hawthorn and sloe hedge. Birds include yellowhammers and linnets.There is access from Halstead Road.

Mountsorrel is a village in Leicestershire on the River Soar, just south of Loughborough with a population in 2001 of 6,662 inhabitants, increasing to 8,223 at the 2011 census.

Moira Junction is a 3.5-hectare (8.6-acre) Local Nature Reserve north of Moira in Leicestershire. It is owned and managed by Leicestershire County Council.This is part of the former Overseal railway sidings, which closed in 1966 and was developed as a nature area in 1991. It has two lakes, birch woodland and heath grassland.There is access by a footpath from Bath Lane.

The Soar Valley in Leicester- and Nottinghamshire, England is the basin of the River Soar, which rises south of Leicester and flows north through Charnwood before meeting the River Trent at Trent Lock. Soar Valley embraces the large villages of Quorn, Mountsorrel, Barrow upon Soar, Birstall, Rothley and Sileby and a number of smaller communities all on or near the River Soar as it flows from Leicester to Loughborough in Leicestershire. The area edges onto Charnwood Forest and the only double tracked preserved main railway line in Britain, the Great Central Railway forms a spine through the area.

Rothley Imperial Football Club is a football club based in Rothley, Leicestershire England. They are currently members of the Leicestershire Senior League Division Two. The club's nickname is the Imps. The club is affiliated to the Leicestershire and Rutland County Football Association

Mountsorrel Meadows is a 12.6-hectare (31-acre) nature reserve on the eastern outskirts of Mountsorrel in Leicestershire. It is purchased by the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust in 2004.This site on the bank of the River Soar was farmland until 2006, but is now managed for wildlife. Areas of wet woodland have been created by a combination of planting and natural regeneration. Other parts of the site are now wet grassland and wet scrapes.There is access to the site by footpaths, but visitors are requested to use the viewing platform and not to enter the main meadow.

Barrow Gravel Pits is a 35.6 hectares (88 acres) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Barrow upon Soar in Leicestershire.This site in the flood plain of the River Soar has open water in the former gravel pits, marshes, hay meadows, woodland and scrub. Aquatic plants include yellow water lily, rigid hornwort, lesser pondweed and fan-leaved water crowfoot.There is access through a caravan park from Bridge Street.

Rothley ( ROHTH-lee) is a village and civil parish within the Borough of Charnwood in Leicestershire, England. Situated around one-half mile (800 metres) west of the River Soar and five miles (eight kilometres) north of Leicester, it had a population of 3,612 inhabitants the 2001 census. The population measured at the 2011 census was 3,897.Rothley centres on two greens, Cross Green and the Town Green, both of which are accessed by a road that leads from the crossroads. The crossroads lies on the old route of the A6 road, which now bypasses the village. Rothley is one of Leicestershire's most affluent areas based on number of houses worth more than £1 million – especially in some streets such as The Ridgeway, identified in the Sunday Times as the most expensive place to live in the East Midlands.Most children of primary schooling age attend Rothley (Church of England) Primary School. The main shopping street in the village is Woodgate. Rothley has four churches, Rothley Baptist Church, the Methodist Church, Sacred Heart RC, and the main parish church St Mary & St John's Church of England. Rothley has close links with its neighbouring village, Mountsorrel, which is two miles (three kilometres) to the north.

Rothley Temple, or more correctly Rothley Preceptory, (pronounced Rowth-Ley) was a preceptory (a religious establishment operated by certain orders of monastic knights) in the village of Rothley, Leicestershire, England, associated with both the Knights Templar and the Knights Hospitaller. The preceptory's chapel, constructed by the Knights Templar, is currently part of the Rothley Court Hotel.
