Soekarno–Hatta International Airport (Indonesian: Bandar Udara Internasional Soekarno–Hatta) (IATA: CGK, ICAO: WIII), abbreviated SHIA or Soetta, formerly legally called Jakarta Cengkareng Airport (Indonesian: Bandar Udara Jakarta Cengkareng) (hence the IATA designator "CGK"), is the primary airport serving the Jakarta metropolitan area on the island of Java in Indonesia. Named after the first president and vice-president of Indonesia, Sukarno (1901–1970) and Mohammad Hatta (1902–1980), the airport is located at Benda, Tangerang and Cengkareng, West Jakarta, which is about 20 km northwest of Central Jakarta. Together with Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport, they served over 80 million passengers in 2019.The airport commenced domestic operations on 1 May 1985 replacing the old over-capacity Kemayoran Airport. The airport was expanded in 1991 to replace Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport for international flights, which still serves domestic charter, VIP, private flights, and re-opened as a second commercial airport for domestic flights to relieve pressure over Soekarno-Hatta airport that is currently running overcapacity. The airport served 66.9 million passengers in 2018, ranked as 18th busiest airport in the world by Airports Council International, and the busiest in Southeast Asia. In recent years, the airport has received numerous awards and recognitions. The airport often struggles to accommodate all flights at its current limit of 81 aircraft movements per hour. Although over capacity, a 2012 ACI survey declared that the airport is being operated safely. The two original runways suffer from pavement and strength issues, which limited the airport's capacity to serve large aircraft. To reduce congestion and to achieve a target to handle 100 flights per hour, a third runway opened in August 2019. Upgrades of the original two runways for safety and to accommodate wide-bodied aircraft are almost complete. The airport will be able to serve 100 million passengers annually by 2025 after completion of ongoing development work.

Soekarno–Hatta International Airport Terminal 3 (also known as Terminal 3 Ultimate) is an international terminal of Soekarno–Hatta International Airport serving Greater Jakarta, Indonesia. It is located on northeast side of the airport. Terminal 3 has a different style than other terminals of the airport. Terminal 1 and 2 were built with incorporation of the local architecture into the design, but Terminal 3 is built in contemporary modern design with environmental friendly and traditional sense. The terminal was first named as Terminal 3 Ultimate but later it was decided to integrate with the old Terminal 3. Garuda Indonesia and Citilink operates all of its flights, both domestic and international from this terminal. For other airlines operating at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, serving international routes except low-cost airlines operate from Terminal 3. The terminal has been named as the best airport terminal in 2017 in Indonesia at the ninth Bandara Awards initiated by Majalah Bandara.

Although named as Batuceper, but the location of this station is not in the district of Batuceper, rather it is located at Cipondoh district of Tangerang. The station serves Greater Jakarta commuter rail and Soekarno–Hatta Airport Rail Link.This station is located opposite of Poris Plawad Bus Terminal. Next to the old station building, a new station building is built to serve the Soekarno–Hatta Airport Rail Link service exclusively. The new station is equipped with facilities such as vending machine, turnstiles, escalator, ATM gallery, waiting lounge, commercial area, meeting room, and mosque.

Poris Station (PI) is a class III railway station located in Poris Gaga, Batuceper, Tangerang. The station, which is located at an altitude of +7 meters, is included in the Jakarta Operational Area I, is the easternmost train station in Tangerang, and only serves the KRL Commuterline route.

Tangerang Station (Indonesian: Stasiun Tangerang) is a railway station located in the city of Tangerang, Banten. It is the western terminus of the Duri–Tangerang railway. This station only serves commuter trains operated by Kereta Commuter Indonesia. Passengers are mainly commuters going from the suburbs in Tangerang to Jakarta.

The Tangerang fireworks disaster occurred on 26 October 2017 at the PT. Panca Buana Cahaya Sukses, a fireworks manufacturing factory in Kosambi, Tangerang, Indonesia. The explosion occurred in a warehouse connected to the factory and ignited a large fire. 103 people were working at the factory at the time of the explosion. At least 49 people were killed and 46 others were injured in the fireworks accident. Authorities confirmed that several people were still missing. It was the deadliest industrial accident in Indonesia. An initial investigation by the Indonesian National Police suggested that an accidental ignition of gunpowder caused the blast and fire. A later report by the Indonesian National Police stated that workers had been welding near some fireworks, and sparks from the welding caused the explosion.
