John Marshall Harlan High School (Texas)

Sonia M. Sotomayor High School is a public high school in the Northside Independent School District (NISD) of San Antonio, Texas, United States. The school is named after Supreme Court justice, Sonia Sotomayor. She became the first woman of color, first Hispanic, and first Latina to be appointed to the Supreme Court in 2009.Sotomayor opened as the twelfth high school campus in the district on August 22, 2022, and is currently the newest NISD campus as of August 27, 2022. The high school is one of the most expensive and largest in NISD, costing the district $131.7 million dollars to build and spanning 75 acres. NISD announced in August 2021 that Sotomayor will open with no senior class, allowing all seniors previously zoned for William H. Taft High School, John Marshall Harlan High School, and Sandra Day O'Connor High School to finish their final year at their respective school.

First opened to the public in October, 2005, Government Canyon State Natural Area (GCSNA) preserves 12,244 acres (49.5 km2; 19.1 sq mi) of rugged hills and canyons typical of the Texas Hill Country. It is designated a Natural Area, rather than a State Park, and therefore the primary focus is maintenance and protection of the property's natural state. Accordingly, access and recreational activities may be restricted if the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD) deems such action necessary to protect the environment. The reserve is located in northwestern Bexar County, and protects a large, relatively pristine tract of Hill Country terrain, numerous and diverse species of plants & wildlife, the upper Culebra Creek/Leon Creek watershed, and a critical aquifer recharge zone for the San Antonio Water System.In September, 2009, the City of San Antonio transferred 3,000 acres (12 km2) of land to the TPWD for inclusion in the Natural Area, specifically to support long-term protection of the Edwards Aquifer, and thereby increasing the total acreage within the reserve from 8,783 acres (35.54 km2) to 11,783 acres (47.68 km2). Most recently, in April, 2013, an additional 461 acres (1.87 km2) were added to GCSNA through a combination of funding from the City of San Antonio, Texas Parks & Wildlife, and a US Fish & Wildlife Service endangered species grant, which brought the reserve's total area to 12,244 acres (49.55 km2).

This station is owned by Uforia Audio Network under licensee Univision Radio Illinois, Inc. The station's studios are located in Northwest San Antonio and the transmitter site located in the unincorporated Bexar County near Government Canyon Park.

William Howard Taft High School is a public high school in the Northside Independent School District (NISD) of San Antonio, Texas, United States. As with all NISD high schools, the school is named for a United States Supreme Court justice, in this case former Chief Justice William Howard Taft, who was also the 27th President of the United States. Taft High School was the fifth NISD high school, and the first outside Loop 1604. It is home to the magnet school Communications Arts High School which focuses primarily on college readiness and technology. The building was designed by Noonan & Dockery & Noonan & Rogers Architects and was built by the H.B. Zachry Company. Taft was named a National Blue Ribbon School in 1997-98. In 2017, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency, with a 2-Star Distinction for Academic Achievements in Social Studies and Top 25 Percent Closing Performance Gaps.

Communications Arts High School (commonly Comm Arts or CAHS) is a magnet school in the Northside Independent School District of San Antonio, Texas, United States. The school is consistently rated as one of the top high schools in the nation. Founded in 1995, it has an enrollment of 100–150 students per class, accepting 150 freshmen per year and 20 sophomores per year. The school is a "school within a school" sharing the campus of William Howard Taft High School with an academic focus on teaching multimedia and communications skills.

William J. Brennan High School is the tenth public high school in the Northside Independent School District of San Antonio, Texas, United States. It is a four-year high school that opened in 2010 and graduated its first senior class in June 2012. In 2017, the school was rated "Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency, with a 2-Star Distinction for Academic Achievements in Top 25 Percent Student Progress and Postsecondary Readiness.

Northwest Vista College is a public community college in San Antonio, Texas. It is one of five community college institutions that comprise the Alamo Colleges District and is located in the Westover Hills neighborhood of San Antonio's Far West Side. Established in 1995 with a dozen students, Northwest Vista College has an enrollment of more than 18,000 students and offers associate degrees and technical certifications.

KRDY (1160 kHz) is an AM radio station in San Antonio, Texas. It is owned by the non-profit organization Relevant Radio, Inc., based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The station is an affiliate of its Catholic–talk radio network. By day, KRDY is powered at 10,000 watts. But 1160 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for Class A station KSL in Salt Lake City. So at night, to avoid interference, KRDY reduces power to 1,000 watts. It uses a directional antenna with a three-tower array. The transmitter is off Braun Road, near Loop 1604, in San Antonio.

Dolphin Cove (also called Dolphin Point at SeaWorld San Diego) is a SeaWorld attraction, which can be found at SeaWorld Orlando and SeaWorld San Diego. The habitat holds about 700,000 US gallons (2,650,000 L) of water and is one of the largest dolphin pools in existence.

Halloween Spooktacular is an annual Halloween event that takes place at SeaWorld Orlando just outside of Orlando, Florida, SeaWorld San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas and SeaWorld San Diego in San Diego, California. The event debuted in 2008 at the Orlando, San Diego and San Antonio parks. It was suspended for several years at the San Antonio park and was reintroduced in 2016. The event is specifically designed for children and includes trick-or-treating for all guests.

SeaWorld San Antonio is a 250-acre (100 ha) marine mammal park, oceanarium and animal theme park in the Westover Hills District of San Antonio, Texas, on the city's west side. It is the largest of the three parks in the SeaWorld chain owned and operated by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. It is also one of the world's largest marine-life theme parks focused on conservation, education and animal rescue. It is a member of the Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks and Aquariums (AMMPA) and is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).

Texas Stingray is a wooden roller coaster at SeaWorld San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas, manufactured by Great Coasters International (GCI) and designed by Skyline Attractions. The coaster opened in February 2020 and operated for just a few weeks before the park closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The coaster reopened when the park resumed limited operation on June 11, 2020.
