St. Margaret's Church, Aspley is a parish church in the Church of England in Aspley, Nottingham.

Melbourne Park is a large public space in Aspley, Nottingham, England. The park is approximately 500 by 600 metres (1,600 by 2,000 ft). In addition to public greenspace, the site has a number of football pitches which are used for Sunday league football matches. The park contains a variety of trees, including lombardy poplars around the playing area, a row of black poplars and a variety of large trees around the perimeter.

John Player Ground was a cricket ground in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1955, when the Midlands and East of England Women played the North and West of England Women.The ground held its first List-A match in 1970 when Nottinghamshire played Hampshire in the John Player League. Between 1970 and 1973, the ground held 4 List-A matches, the last of which saw Nottinghamshire play Gloucestershire in the 1973 John Player League.The ground has also held a number of Nottinghamshire Second XI matches in the Minor Counties Championship and Second XI Championship.The ground has also held 3 Women's One Day Internationals, the first of which came in 1990 when England women played Denmark women. During the same year, the ground held a second Women's ODI when Ireland women played the Netherlands women. The final Women's ODI came in the 1993 Women's Cricket World Cup and saw India women played West Indies women.Today the ground has been developed and is now covered by a leisure centre.

Whitemoor is an area of the City of Nottingham. It lies next to Old Basford to the north, New Basford and Hyson Green to the east, Aspley to the west and Beechdale to the south. There is a primary school in the area, Whitemoor Primary School. There is a local doctors surgery and pharmacy. Local amenities include a hairdresser, corner shops, takeaways and pub. Nottingham City Transport serves the area via the 54, 70, 71, 78 and 79 services.

Nottingham Girls' Academy (formerly Manning Comprehensive School) is a girls' secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in the Aspley area of Nottingham in the English county of Nottinghamshire.Previously a community school administered by Nottingham City Council, Manning Comprehensive School converted to academy status on 1 September 2011 and was renamed Nottingham Girls' Academy. The school is sponsored by the Greenwood Dale Foundation Trust, however Nottingham Girls' Academy continues to coordinate with Nottingham City Council for admissions. Nottingham Girls' Academy offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A Levels and further BTECs.

Beechdale is suburban area in the City of Nottingham. The area is located roughly 2.2 miles (3.5 km) from the City Centre and surrounding areas include Bilborough to the west, Aspley to the north, Radford to the east and Wollaton to the south. At the 2001 Census, the area had a population of 5,537.

Aspley is a council estate and a ward of the city of Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England. It is located within the boundaries of Nottingham City Council. The ward is located 3 miles (4.8 km) west of Nottingham City Centre and is located only 1.6 miles west of Junction 26 of the M1. It lies south of Bulwell, west of Basford and is north of Bilborough. The principal road in the ward is the A610. At the 2001 Census the ward had a population of 15,689, increasing to 17,622 at the 2011 census.For a number of centuries the ward consisted of just a number of small settlements and was home to both Broxtowe and Aspley Hall, the latter home to the Willoughby family for a number of generations. In the early 20th century Nottingham City Council, after a number of purchase orders developed the area into a large housing estate. The ward contains three housing estates which consist of Aspley, Broxtowe (not to be confused with the borough Broxtowe) and Bells Lane estate. Aspley has a number of shops, a local library and transport links (by bus) with Nottingham City Centre and surrounding areas.

The Ellis Guilford School & Sports College is a secondary academy school in Bar Lane, Basford, Nottingham.

William Crane School, Minver Crescent, Aspley, Nottingham, Nottingham NG8 5PN, was a school consisting of infants, juniors and seniors. The school was built in 1930 and was closed in 2003 and subsequently demolished. In its last year the school finished joint bottom of the GCSE league tables.

St Leodegarius Church, Old Basford is a parish church in the Church of England. The church is Grade II* listed by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport as it is a particularly significant building of more than local interest.

Wilkinson Street is a tram stop on Nottingham Express Transit (NET), in the city of Nottingham suburb of Basford. The tram stop opened on 9 March 2004, along with NET's initial system. It is one of several park and ride stops on the NET network, with more than 600 car parking spaces located next to the stop. NET's Wilkinson Street depot is also adjacent to the stop, and provides storage and maintenance facilities for all the system's trams, having been expanded to cope with the additional trams ordered for phase two. The depot also contains NET's offices, staff facilities and control room.The tram stop is located on reserved track alongside Wilkinson Street and has two side platforms flanking a pair of tracks. To the west, the tracks cross over the Robin Hood railway line on a bridge shared with Wilkinson Street, and then curve and descend to run parallel with the railway to Basford stop. To the east of the stop, there is a triangular junction that gives access to the depot, and the two tracks then cross each other and run separately in two different street alignments. Trams heading towards the city centre next call at Radford Road stop, whilst trams coming from the city centre do so via Shipstone Street stop.With the opening of NET's phase two, Wilkinson Street is now on the common section of the NET, where line 1, between Hucknall and Chilwell, and line 2, between Phoenix Park and Clifton, operate together. Trams on each line run at frequencies that vary between 4 and 8 trams per hour, depending on the day and time of day, combining to provide up to 16 trams per hour on the common section.
