Pfersee is a part of the city of Augsburg, Bavaria with some 25.000 inhabitants on the western shore of river Wertach. In 1911 Pfersee was incorporated to Augsburg. The name Pfersee probably derives from “fert” (Furt), meaning a ford (crossing). Pfersee is first mentioned in 8th century, but there also are important archeological findings such as a brazen horse-head which was part of an equestrian statue, probably dedicated to emperor Hadrian. From 1560 until 1875 in Pfersee there was a noted Jewish community with a number of renowned chairmen, rabbis and scholars, mainly from the Ulmo (Ginsburg) family, who until the beginning of the 19th century was in possession of the so-called “Pfersee manuscript”, the oldest almost complete surviving handwritten edition of the Babylonian Talmud, dated from 14th century, which now is at the Bavarian State Library in Munich. in 1627 the Jewish community of Pfersee along with the neighboring Jewish communities of Steppach and Kriegshaber established a common Jewish cemetery, today usually attributed to Kriegshaber, which became part of Augsburg in 1916 as well.

Kulturhaus Abraxas is a cultural institution of the city of Augsburg. Here, Abraxas is a backronym for Atrium, Bühne, Restaurant, Ateliers, experimentelle Musik in Augsburg an der Sommestraße. The Reese Barracks was formerly owned by the US forces and became property of the Federal Property Administration. The city of Augsburg rented it in 1995 from the Army and used the former Offizierskasino of the Somme Barracks region as a 'Family Recreation Center', building a cultural center with a 150-seat theater, an exhibition hall, studios, music practice rooms, and a restaurant. Since January 1996, the cultural center's program has mainly featured music, especially jazz, and also theater, demonstrations, and exhibitions. Since February 1998, the Federal Association of Visual Artists has also been located in the office of Abraxas and uses the exhibition hall. The yearly Lab.30 media art festival takes place at Abraxas.

University Hospital Augsburg (Universitätsklinikum Augsburg) is with about 1,750 beds one of the largest medical centers in Germany located in Augsburg. It is a teaching hospital of the Universität Augsburg and the only hospital of maximal care in Swabia (Bavaria). The hospital has two locations in Augsburg. The location in the Stenglinstraße (Kriegshaber) and the location in the Sauerbruchstraße (Haunstetten).The University Hospital Augsburg comprises a total of 23 clinics and three institutes, as well as other medical treatment areas and centers. More than 6,000 employees, including around 900 doctors and around 2,500 nurses, work for the health of patients. On January 1, 2019, the municipal enterprise Klinikum Augsburg became the University Hospital Augsburg in the sponsorship of the State of Bavaria. Since that moment, the hospital serves the education of students of the medical faculty of the University of Augsburg. Until then, it was an academic teaching hospital of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich.

Augsburg-Oberhausen station is a station in the northwest of the central Augsburg in the suburb of Oberhausen in the German state of Bavaria. It is the second most important station in the city. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 4 station. The current station building was built south of the old Oberhauser station in 1931/32, in the New Objectivity style. There is a large tram and bus stop in front of the station building, the exterior of which has recently been renovated.

Singold is a river of Bavaria, Germany. It flows into the Fabrikkanal, an artificial branch of the Wertach, near Augsburg.

Rosenaustadion is a multi-purpose stadium in Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany. Built in 1951, it's a heritage listed monument and was the largest stadium in Augsburg for 58 years until 2009 when the Augsburg Arena was opened. With a spectator capacity of 32,354, it is primarily used for football matches and track & field athletics events. It is the current home ground for FC Augsburg Women and FC Augsburg II. It is the former home of the FC Augsburg men's first team, who played at the ground between 1951 and 2009.

Bärenkeller is one of the seventeen highest level civic divisions, or Planungsräume (Singular: Planungsraum, English: planning district), of the city of Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany. It is located in the northwestern portion of the city and consists of only one Stadtbezirk, or ward, 23 Bärenkeller, with which it is coterminous. As of January 1, 2006, 7,360 people reside in Bärenkeller, which has an area of 2.99 km2 (1.15 mi2).

Sporthalle Augsburg is an indoor arena located in Augsburg, Germany. Completed in 1965, it hosted six team handball matches for the 1972 Summer Olympics in neighboring Munich.

The German Ice Hockey Hall of Fame, also called Eishockeymuseum in German, was founded in 1988 and is located in Augsburg. The hall honors individuals who have contributed to ice hockey in Germany, and displays memorabilia depicting contributions of players, coaches, referees and other important figures in the sport.

Riegele is a traditional German brewery located in Augsburg, Swabia, Bavaria. The Brauhaus Riegele was created in 1884, when Sebastian Riegele Sr. acquired the brewery "Zum Goldenen Ross", which originated in 1386. In 1911, a new building was built outside the city as well as the construction of the "Riegelehaus" on the Königsplatz. At the end of the 1980s, the Brauhaus acquired the name rights for the lactic acid-based lemonade "Chabeso". In 2015 Sierra Nevada Brewing Company partnered with Riegele on Oktoberfest.

Göggingen is one of the 17 Planungsräume (English: Planning district, singular Planungsraum) of Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany. The Planungsraum is made up of three Stadtbezirke (English: wards, singular Stadtbezirk), the 37th, 38th and 40th Stadtbezirke, which are named Göggingen-Nordwest (Northwest), Göggingen-Nordost (Northeast) and Göggingen-Süd (South), respectively. Located in the western part of Augsburg, Göggingen is numbered as the 14th Planungsraum and has an area of 10.79 km² (4.17 mi²). As of January 1, 2006, the population is estimated to be 17,722.

The bank is a member of the Bundesverband der Deutschen Volksbanken und Raiffeisenbanken (BVR), together with 13 other independent PSD banks. Its business area expands across Swabia, Upper Bavaria and Lower Bavaria, where the bank serves about 85,000 private customers. The PSD is among Munichs biggest cooperative banks, with total assets of over 2 billion Euro. Its legal supervision is carried out by the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority.
