Radio Televisyen Malaysia (English: Radio Television of Malaysia, abbreviated as RTM, stylised as rtm), also known as the Department of Broadcasting, Malaysia (Malay: Jabatan Penyiaran Malaysia) is the national public broadcaster of Malaysia. Established on 1 April 1946 as Radio Malaya, it is the first and the oldest broadcaster in the country. After Malaysia was formed on 16 September 1963, Radio Malaya was renamed Radio Malaysia. On 28 December that year, television service in Malaysia began with the establishment of Televisyen Malaysia. In 1969, Radio Malaysia and Televisyen Malaysia merged to form the present-day broadcast department. RTM employs over 4,000 staff in total, with a larger part of them are in public-sector broadcasting. It forms part of the mass media triopoly in the country along with Media Prima and Astro. RTM monopolised the free-to-air television until 1984 and also radio until 1989, when private television and radio stations such as TV3 and Best FM began operations. Currently, it operates 6 television channels and 34 radio stations nationwide. Unlike the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), which is a statutory corporation with a royal charter, RTM is a department under direct government control via a ministry.Since its formation in 1946, RTM has played a prominent role in Malaysian life and culture. Much like the BBC and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), RTM also commissioned a large number of TV programmes and contents for its TV channels, but produced by third parties apart of produced by RTM itself. It also owns Orkestra RTM, which was established in 1961 and touted as the oldest musical orchestra in Malaysia. In 2019, RTM became the most trusted media organisation in Malaysia ahead of Astro Awani, TV3 and Malaysiakini, according to a survey by the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism.

The Angkasapuri Komuter station is a KTM Komuter train station located near Angkasapuri, Kuala Lumpur. It is served by the Port Klang Line. The station primarily serves and is named after Angkasapuri, the headquarters of RTM. Located nearby are the Sri Damesh private school and the neighbourhoods of Pantai Dalam and Kampung Kerinchi. The Kerinchi and Abdullah Hukum LRT stations are also nearby, although pedestrian access is almost impossible.

Bangsar South (Malay: Bangsar Selatan) is an integrated property development project which sits on the former Kampung Kerinchi site in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is renamed of Kampung Kerinchi from the developer to upscale the value of land. The 60-acre (240,000 m2) development was undertaken by UOA Group, which acquired the land once known as south of bangsar back in 2005. The site is located near Menara Telekom and the Mid Valley Megamall. Other notable landmarks in the vicinity are the Angkasapuri building and the University of Malaya. Existing residential projects in the immediate vicinity consist of affordable apartments and flats such as Vista Angkasa apartments, Kampung Kerinchi and Sri Angkasa flats. The Kampung Kerinchi project features several modern office towers, mid to high-end condominiums, as well as retail and commercial spaces. In 2007, prior to construction, the developer carried out upgrading and landscaping works in Kampung Kerinchi, including the widening of the main access road and new pedestrian walkways, in attempts to rejuvenate and enhance the area dubbed as "unattractive".

The Kerinchi LRT station is a Kelana Jaya LRT station in Kuala Lumpur. The station, which is named after Kampung Kerinchi, a village within walking distance, is located inside Plaza Pantai (officially being redeveloped as Bangsar Trade Centre), a mixed commercial complex near Jalan Pantai Baru. The station is linked to Bangsar South Trade Centre by an 800m long pedestrian bridge spanning across the Federal Highway. The station also offers a facility for reloading the Touch 'n Go card at the Maybank ATM and CIMB ATM.

Telekom Tower, also known as TM Tower is a 55-story, 310-meter-tall supertall skyscraper in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is Malaysia's fith tallest building, and is shaped to represent a sprouting "bamboo shoot". It is located along the Federal Highway, Sprint Expressway and Jalan Pantai Baharu and is served by the Rapid KL Kerinchi LRT station. It was designed by Hijjas Kasturi Associates and was constructed between 1998 and 2001 by Deawoo Construction. The building was officially opened on 11 February 2003 by the fourth Malaysian Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad. It resembles the Bitexco Financial Tower of Ho Chi Minh City (finished in 2010) and the Telecommunications Tower (finished in 2002) in Montevideo. With a series of hanging gardens climbing it, the structure cost over $160 million. The tower has been designed to benefit from its surrounding environment, using its windows, orientation, and air condition system to encourage energy saving.The complex also includes a theatre able to seat a 2,500 audience, a large prayer hall (surau), and a sports facility. A unique feature of the tower is its 22 open sky gardens alternating every three floors. The office floors are separated into north and south wings served by express double-deck elevators. Near the building is Kerinchi Pylon, the tallest electricity pylon in Southeast Asia.

KL Eco City, known as KLEC for short, is a 25-acre integrated mixed-use development project in the city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This project is built at the site of former Haji Abdullah Hukum Village. The mixed development project is helmed by S P Setia Berhad and it is built in stages comprising 3 residential towers, one serviced apartments tower, 3 corporate office towers, 12 boutique office blocks and a retail mall known as KL Eco City Mall (KLEC Mall).

The Kerinchi Pylon is a lattice-steel transmission tower located near Menara Telekom in Kerinchi, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It was built by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) in the middle of 1999. At 103 metres (338 ft), the pylon is recorded in the Malaysian Book of Records as the tallest electricity pylon in Southeast Asia. The Kerinchi Pylon differs from other electricity pylons of comparable height, like those of Elbe Crossing 2, because is it not used for a powerline crossing of a wide waterway and that it is just a single structure. It is the tallest strainer pylon in the world, all taller pylons are suspension pylons of long-distance spans.

Mid Valley Megamall is a shopping mall in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It sits at the entrance of Petaling Jaya and Kuala Lumpur. Developed by IGB Corporation, the complex was opened in 1999. It comprises a shopping mall, an office tower block, 30 offices, and three hotels. A second mall, The Gardens Mall, is adjacent to the Megamall. The mall has 4,500,000 sq ft (420,000 m2) of total floor area, out of which 1,700,000 sq ft (160,000 m2) is leasable space. This whole area is sometimes referred to Mid Valley City.The mall draws large crowds all throughout the year partly due to the amount of shops and variety available. There are many dining options available as well.It houses a 48,300 sq ft (4,490 m2) convention centre and it is adjacent to a 646-room business hotel named Cititel Midvalley. A further two hotels are in the same area: The Boulevard Hotel, The Gardens Hotel and Residences. There has been a proposal to link Mid Valley Megamall and Masjid Jamek via a 5.5 km (3.4 mi) bicycle lane.It was awarded Best Shopping Complex Award 2000 by Tourism Malaysia and Best Retail Development 2001 by FIABCI Malaysia.In recent times the mall has garnered media attention with events like the IT Fair, Home and Decoration Fair, and The MATTA Fair being held in the Exhibition Center. It was announced that a second Mid Valley Southkey Megamall had been slated for 2016 in the Iskandar region of Johor Bahru.

Mid Valley City is a large mixed development in the Lembah Pantai ward in southwestern Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The development consists of The Gardens shopping mall, Mid Valley Megamall and three hotels, namely the Cititel Mid Valley, The Boulevard Hotel Kuala Lumpur and the Gardens Hotels and Residences.

Universiti is a light rapid transit (LRT) station in Kuala Lumpur served by the Kelana Jaya Line. This station serves the local population of University of Malaya and neighbouring Bangsar South, Pantai Dalam and Pantai Hill Park.

Taman Desa is a housing estate in south-western Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia under the postcode 58100. Located off the East–West Link Expressway and Jalan Klang Lama, Taman Desa falls under the Seputeh parliamentary constituency.

The Al-Rahman Mosque (Malay: Masjid Al-Rahman) is a mosque in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The mosque is located at University of Malaya in Jalan Pantai Baharu and was named after the first Malaysian Prime Minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj. Today, the mosque is joint managed by University of Malaya and the Department of Federal Territory Islamic Affairs (JAWI).
