Lime Kiln Point State Park

The Lime Kiln Light is a functioning navigational aid located on Lime Kiln Point overlooking Dead Man's Bay on the western side of San Juan Island, San Juan County, Washington, in the United States. It guides ships through the Haro Straits and is part of Lime Kiln Point State Park, which offers tours during summer months.

Smallpox Bay is a bay on the west side of San Juan Island in the U.S. state of Washington.Smallpox Bay was named for the fact that a group of indigenous victims of the 1862 Pacific Northwest smallpox epidemic died there and their corpses burned by US officers.

San Juan Island is the second-largest and most populous of the San Juan Islands in northwestern Washington, United States. Guss Island is a small island in the San Juan Islands of the U.S. state of Washington. It lies in Garrison Bay, on the northwestern shore of San Juan Island. The island was named for Guss Hoffmaster, a German storekeeper in the English Camp during the Pig War.Primarily, the park has had relations with the Lummi Indian Business Council. The Lummi believe Guss Island to be their point of origin into this world. [4] As discussed under archaeological resources, several burials were removed from Guss Island in Garrison Bay. In 1985 the park, with assistance from Jim Thomson and Kent Bush of the Pacific Northwest regional office, began negotiating for the return and reinternment of the burials to the Lummi. A Memorandum of Understanding was drafted with the council, calling for the park to provide a 30' x 30' space for the reburials. The Lummi were to provide the container and actually complete the reburial process. The agreement was signed and several remains reburied, although the container delivered to the site was never used and eventually disposed of by the park. Monitoring of remains at the park and relations with the Lummi have more recently been handled by Seattle Support Office anthropologist, Dr. Fred York.

The Haro Strait is one of the main channels connecting the Strait of Georgia to the Strait of Juan de Fuca, separating Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands in British Columbia, Canada from the San Juan Islands of Washington state in the United States. The strait is a critical part of the international boundary between Canada and the United States. It stretches from the western terminus of the 49th parallel segment of that boundary, and was chosen by the arbitrator in the San Juan Islands dispute (Pig War) over the Rosario Strait.

Roche Harbor Seaplane Base (IATA: RCE, FAA LID: W39) is a public-use seaplane base located adjacent to Roche Harbor, on San Juan Island in San Juan County, Washington, United States. It is owned by the Roche Harbor Resort.

Roche Harbor is a sheltered harbor on the northwest side of San Juan Island in San Juan County, Washington, United States, and the site of a resort of the same name. Roche Harbor faces Haro Strait and the Canada–United States border. The harbor itself provides one of the better protected anchorages in the islands. The harbor is surrounded on the east side by San Juan Island, on the north side by Pearl Island, and on the west and south sides by Henry Island. Most of the harbor is 35 to 45 feet (11 to 14 meters) deep. Roche Harbor has a small airport used primarily by local residents. Roche Harbor is a designated U.S. port of entry. A Customs dock occupies a section of the marina, with Customs and Border Protection agents on duty during summer months. When agents are not on duty, arriving boaters must call Customs and Border Protection from the Customs Dock.

Henry Island is one of the San Juan Islands of San Juan County, Washington, United States. It lies just off the northwest shore of San Juan Island. The small Pearl Island also lies between Henry Island and San Juan Island at its northern end. Just northwest of the northern tip of Henry Island lies Battleship Island, a State bird sanctuary. Except for Stuart Island, Henry Island is the westernmost of the San Juan Islands. It has a land area of 4.126 km² (1.593 sq mi) and had a total of19 permanent residents as of the 2010 census.Henry Island was named by the Wilkes Expedition in 1841 for Charles Wilkes' nephew Henry Wilkes, who was killed in 1840 during a skirmish in Fiji.

Roche Harbor Airport (FAA LID: WA09) is a private airport located one nautical mile (2 km) northeast of the central business district of Roche Harbor, in San Juan County, Washington, United States. It was formerly a public use airport (FAA ID: 9S1). The 9S1 location identifier has been reassigned to Four Winds Airport in Celina, Texas.

Afterglow Vista (also known as the McMillin Memorial Mausoleum and Afterglow Mausoleum) is a mausoleum located in San Juan County, Washington, United States, near Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor. It is the final resting place of businessman John S. McMillin, his wife and children, and one of the family's employees. The design of the mausoleum incorporates numerous instances of symbolism, some of it Masonic in nature.

Pearl Island is one of the San Juan Islands of San Juan County, Washington, United States. Named during the 1841 Wilkes Expedition, it lies off the western shore of San Juan Island, between it and Henry Island. Pearl Island has a land area of 0.151 km² (37.3 acres), only one family lives on this island full time.

O'Neal Island is a small island in the San Juan Islands of the U.S. state of Washington. It lies off the northeastern coast of San Juan Island. The name was given by Charles Wilkes during the Wilkes Expedition of 1838–1842, in honor of an American naval hero.
