Hofgeismar (German: Bahnhof Hofgeismar) is a railway station located in Hofgeismar, Germany. The station is located on the Kassel–Warburg railway. The train services are operated by Deutsche Bahn, abellio Deutschland and RegioTram Gesellschaft.

Kassel-Calden Circuit was a 2.590 km (1.609 mi) former airfield circuit located on the Kassel Airport in Kassel, Hesse, Germany. The circuit was opened in August 1971 for the venue of ADAC Hessenpreis due to the expensive costs of hiring Hockenheimring for this event. Besides national championships, the circuit also hosted races for some international championships, such as FIA European Formula 3 Championship and Interserie.

The Battle of Wilhelmsthal (sometimes written as the Battle of Wilhelmstadt) was fought on 24 June 1762 during the Seven Years' War between the allied forces of Britain, Prussia, Hanover, Brunswick and Hesse under the command of the Duke of Brunswick against France. Once again, the French threatened Hanover, so the Allies manoeuvered around the French, surrounded the invasion force, and forced them to retreat. It was the last major action fought by Brunswick's force before the Peace of Paris brought an end to the war.
