Rogers Ridge, a wildland in the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests of western Virginia and the Cherokee National Forest of eastern Tennessee, has been recognized by the Wilderness Society as a special place worthy of protection from logging and road construction. The Wilderness Society has designated the area as a "Mountain Treasure". High grassy ridges offer views of mountain ranges to the north and south; balds on Rogers Ridge are among the most extensive in the Southern Appalachians; and Gentry Creek has 30-foot waterfalls that cascade over high rock walls to clear pools below. With few midstory trees, tall trees with lush ground vegetation combine to give the hiker an experience of a mystical, openwoods atmosphere. The area is part of the Mount Rogers Cluster.

Taylors Valley is an unincorporated community in Washington County, in the state of Virginia in the U.S.A. It is located to the southeast of Abingdon and is accessed via Highway 58 and via Taylor Valley Road from Tennessee just to the south.

Whitetop Laurel Creek is a popular wild trout stream with wildlife viewing platforms and streamside access by wheelchair.The area is part of the Mount Rogers Cluster.

Laurel Bloomery is an unincorporated community in Johnson County, Tennessee. Settled in the early 19th century, the community's first bloomery forge mill was built and began operation in 1810. The mill was closed in 1870, but portions are still standing today. The area is known for its beautiful mountains and secluded valleys. Laurel Bloomery is the northeasternmost community in the state of Tennessee.

Feathercamp is a wildland in the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests of western Virginia that has been recognized by the Wilderness Society as a special place worthy of protection from logging and road construction. The Wilderness Society has designated the area as a "Mountain Treasure".One of the largest interior spaces in the Mount Rogers National Recreation area, Feathercamp offers a more primitive recreation than the Mount Rogers High Country. Trails include the Appalachian Trail, the Iron Mountain Trail and Feathercamp Branch.The area is part of the Mount Rogers Cluster.

Worth's Chapel, also known as Creston United Methodist Church, is a historic Methodist chapel located at 175 Three Top Road in Creston, Ashe County, North Carolina. The original main building was built in 1902, and is a square, frame building with Gothic and Romanesque design elements. It features a tall comer tower and tall arched windows. The smaller portion was added in the 1990s.The Land was donated by the Pernas family in the late 1990s in order to build the smaller portion that now stands there today. It is used as the parish hall for community events.It was built by the Worth family. As was popular of the time, the family owned a summer home on the hill just behind the church. Other members of the Worth family also built homes on the adjacent road. It became listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Perry–Shepherd Farm, also known as the Swansie Shepherd Farm, is a historic home and farm complex located near Lansing, Ashe County, North Carolina. The complex includes the main dwelling, a caretaker's cottage, a barn, a warehouse, a granary, and three sheds surrounded by woodland, open pasture, and blueberry and apple orchards. The main house was built about 1890, and is a two-story, single-pile I-house with an original rear wing. It has a double-porch and Queen Anne style decorative elements.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
