The Bellosguardo Foundation is a philanthropic organization and private foundation for the arts located at the oceanside estate in Santa Barbara, California, known as Bellosguardo, one of the empty mansions of the reclusive copper heiress Huguette Clark. Registered in the State of New York, the arts foundation was formed to administer the Bellosguardo property according to the provisions in the will of Huguette Clark, who died in 2011 at age 104. Well known in her later years for being a recluse, she was an artist, art collector, and philanthropist, the youngest child of Sen. William A. Clark. The great home sat furnished but unvisited by Huguette Clark and her mother after approximately 1951. The staff was under orders to keep the home as it was, and automobiles remained in the carriage house with 1949 license plates.Although the home is not yet open for regular tours, the Bellosguardo Foundation's website describes its vision of the future: "Now, Huguette has bequeathed the property to the Bellosguardo Foundation, which is committed to both honoring the Clarks' past, and building a future where the estate can be enjoyed by all as a focal point for the arts. Realizing that future will take time and commitment, but the fruits of that labor will be well worth the effort. Be it coming up to enjoy a family picnic by the rose garden, delve into the estate's history, view art from institutions around the world, or take in a jazz recital on the lawn, Bellosguardo will become a new home for art, music, history, and culture on the California coast." The foundation hosted an inaugural fundraiser at the mansion on October 13, 2018, with more than 500 people paying $1,500 or more to attend.

Andrée Clark Bird Refuge, a 42-acre (170,000 m2) saltwater marsh, is one of the largest wildlife refuges in Santa Barbara County, California, United States. The refuge has a 29-acre (120,000 m2) freshwater/brackish lake, an artificially modified estuary, which drains through East Beach into the Pacific Ocean. The refuge is named for Louise Amelia Andrée Clark, older sister of the reclusive heiress Huguette Clark, who owned the Clark property, Bellosguardo (now the Bellosguardo Foundation), located across East Cabrillo Boulevard from the salt pond. In 1928, Huguette Clark donated money for the refuge in honor of her sister, who had died of meningitis in 1919, a week before Andrée's 17th birthday.

East Beach located in Santa Barbara, California, United States, is often the first beach seen upon entering the city limits. East Beach is separated from West Beach by Stearn's Wharf, and is proximal to downtown Santa Barbara. East Beach is the primary beach for tourists, as some of the major Santa Barbara hotels face this beach. Cabrillo Bathhouse and Gym are also located on East Beach.East Beach is world-famous for volleyball, as it hosts several volleyball tournaments each year.East Beach has three lifeguard towers numbered five, four, and three (lifeguard towers two and one are on Leadbetter Beach), which are open during the summer months. The stretch of beach is not frequented as a surfing destination. East Beach is also home to the Santa Barbara Junior Lifeguards, who operate for seven weeks during the summer.

KVRY-LP (99.5 FM) was a low-power FM radio station serving Santa Barbara and Goleta, California. After obtaining its Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license, KVRY-LP was granted a construction permit on February 10, 2003, and began broadcasting on February 7, 2006. KVRY-LP's license was cancelled on December 1, 2013, for failing to file an application for renewal. On August 20, 2014, the FCC granted Calvary Chapel of Santa Barbara a construction permit for a new low-power FM radio station with the same KVRY-LP call letters. The license to cover was granted on June 29, 2017. The city of license changed from Goleta to Santa Barbara, the frequency changed from 96.3 MHz to 99.5 MHz and it broadcasts from a different transmitter site. That license was cancelled on July 30, 2021

The Allan Herschell 3-Abreast Carousel is a carousel built in 1916 by the Allan Herschell Company. The carousel features 35 hand-carved jumping wooden horses and two hand-carved chariots which serve as benches. The carousel is one of only four large carousels made by the Allan Herschell Company between 1915 and 1927; in addition, the horses on the outer rim feature gentle faces and detailed, deep woodwork, making them a rarity among the company's designs. After likely operating in an amusement park in the eastern United States, the carousel moved to Seaport Village in San Diego; it began operating in Chase Palm Park, a waterfront park in Santa Barbara, California, in 1999.The carousel was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.The owner of the carousel, Historic Carousels Inc., announced in November 2017 that they planned to move it to a carousel museum in Hood River, Oregon.

La Chiquita is a residential home built in 1904 by Francis Townsend Underhill in Santa Barbara, California, US. In 1915, Country Life in America named it one of the 12 best country houses in America. It is situated close to the Santa Barbara Biltmore.

KZSB (1290 AM) is a commercial radio station in Santa Barbara, California. Known as "The Santa Barbara News-Press Radio Station", it airs a local news/talk radio format, mainly using reporters and correspondents of the News-Press, with people from the community invited to host weekly one-hour informational shows. Despite the name, KZSB is not actually owned by the newspaper. The station also carries BBC World Service reports at the top of each hour, with BBC programming also heard nights and weekends. From 1995 to 2005, the station was owned by comedy actor Bob Newhart before being sold to Santa Barbara Broadcasting, Inc. and adopting its current format.

The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History Sea Center, briefly known as the Ty Warner Sea Center, is a museum owned and operated by the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History and is located on Santa Barbara's Stearns Wharf. The Sea Center focuses on the marine life and the related conservation of the Santa Barbara Channel.

The Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara is a luxury resort hotel located in Santa Barbara, California known for its Spanish Colonial Revival architecture and gardens. It opened in 1927 as the Santa Barbara Biltmore, part of the Bowman-Biltmore Hotels chain. The hotel closed in March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The assassination of Mehmet Baydar and Bahadır Demir occurred on 27 January 1973 at the Biltmore Hotel in Santa Barbara, California. The two Turkish diplomats, Consul General Baydar and Vice Consul Demir, were murdered by Armenian-American Gourgen Yanikian. Yanikian, using an alias, had invited the Turkish diplomats to lunch, during which they were both shot dead.
