Santa Barbara Cemetery is a cemetery located at 901 Channel Drive in Santa Barbara, California. Founded in 1867, it serves as a nonsectarian cemetery.

The assassination of Mehmet Baydar and Bahadır Demir occurred on 27 January 1973 at the Biltmore Hotel in Santa Barbara, California. The two Turkish diplomats, Consul General Baydar and Vice Consul Demir, were murdered by Armenian-American Gourgen Yanikian. Yanikian, using an alias, had invited the Turkish diplomats to lunch, during which they were both shot dead.

The Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara is a luxury resort hotel located in Santa Barbara, California known for its Spanish Colonial Revival architecture and gardens. It opened in 1927 as the Santa Barbara Biltmore, part of the Bowman-Biltmore Hotels chain. The hotel closed in March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Montecito Inn is a boutique hotel in the southwestern part of Montecito, California. It is considered a Santa Barbara landmark. Located on Coast Village Road in Montecito, adjacent to U.S. Route 101, the inn is 2.5 blocks from Butterfly Beach. Pleistocene gravel deposits are evident nearby.The hotel was built by Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle, Charlie Chaplin and friends in 1928 as an escape from show business. The inn has a complete library of Chaplin's films; his image is seen in etched glass doors and in the hallways which are lined with movie posters. The 1936 Rodgers and Hart song, "There's a Small Hotel", drew inspiration from the Montecito Inn.

Andrée Clark Bird Refuge, a 42-acre (170,000 m2) saltwater marsh, is one of the largest wildlife refuges in Santa Barbara County, California, United States. The refuge has a 29-acre (120,000 m2) freshwater/brackish lake, an artificially modified estuary, which drains through East Beach into the Pacific Ocean. The refuge is named for Louise Amelia Andrée Clark, older sister of the reclusive heiress Huguette Clark, who owned the Clark property, Bellosguardo (now the Bellosguardo Foundation), located across East Cabrillo Boulevard from the salt pond. In 1928, Huguette Clark donated money for the refuge in honor of her sister, who had died of meningitis in 1919, a week before Andrée's 17th birthday.

The Bellosguardo Foundation is a philanthropic organization and private foundation for the arts located at the oceanside estate in Santa Barbara, California, known as Bellosguardo, one of the empty mansions of the reclusive copper heiress Huguette Clark. Registered in the State of New York, the arts foundation was formed to administer the Bellosguardo property according to the provisions in the will of Huguette Clark, who died in 2011 at age 104. Well known in her later years for being a recluse, she was an artist, art collector, and philanthropist, the youngest child of Sen. William A. Clark. The great home sat furnished but unvisited by Huguette Clark and her mother after approximately 1951. The staff was under orders to keep the home as it was, and automobiles remained in the carriage house with 1949 license plates.Although the home is not yet open for regular tours, the Bellosguardo Foundation's website describes its vision of the future: "Now, Huguette has bequeathed the property to the Bellosguardo Foundation, which is committed to both honoring the Clarks' past, and building a future where the estate can be enjoyed by all as a focal point for the arts. Realizing that future will take time and commitment, but the fruits of that labor will be well worth the effort. Be it coming up to enjoy a family picnic by the rose garden, delve into the estate's history, view art from institutions around the world, or take in a jazz recital on the lawn, Bellosguardo will become a new home for art, music, history, and culture on the California coast." The foundation hosted an inaugural fundraiser at the mansion on October 13, 2018, with more than 500 people paying $1,500 or more to attend.

Shalawa Meadow (also called Hammond's Meadow) is a 3-acre (0.012 km2) seaside meadow used in ancient times as a burial site by the Chumash people, adjoining a once large Chumash community about 5 miles east of Santa Barbara, California in the community of Montecito.

The Santa Barbara Zoo is located on 30 acres (12 ha) near the ocean in Santa Barbara, California. It was built on the site of what was known as the Child Estate. It has more than 500 animals in numerous exhibits, including capybara and California condors, and was known for having had a giraffe with a crooked neck. It has a few non-animal attractions, such as the 2 ft (610 mm) narrow gauge Zoo Train, complete with a pair of Chance Rides C. P. Huntington locomotives. The zoo first opened in August 1963.

Acacia Lodge, also known as the Shourds-Price House, is a craftsman style home in Montecito near the City of Santa Barbara, California that is significant for its architecture and landscape design. It was built in 1917 as a rental lodge. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1997. Per its nomination document, The building was constructed in 1917 by William Augustus Whittlesey Brownell, a local designer, building, and developer who developed a number of rental properties in the area of Acacia Lodge. Brownell designed each house inside and out, furnished each to the smallest detail, sited each to take advantage of mountain scenery, laid out the grounds, and choose and planted all flowers, trees, and shrubs from his own nursery. Acacia Lodge embodies the Arts and Crafts ideals of total, integrated design; unity with nature; and simple, clean, cozy, private living.: 9  The house is distinguished as a cross between a traditional Craftsman house and a ranch, with large windows that open and close and that provide significantly more light inside than is normal for Craftsman homes. Before its NRHP nomination, the property was nominated for listing in a local historic registry but the registry declined. The owner was subsequently invited to nominate the property for NRHP listing, which went through. The home is privately owned and not open to the public.

Casa del Herrero (also known as the Steedman Estate) is a historic house museum and botanical garden located in Montecito near Santa Barbara, California. It was designed by George Washington Smith, and is considered one of the finest examples of Spanish Colonial Revival architecture in the United States of America. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and was designated as a National Historic Landmark on January 16, 2009. Today, the entire 11-acre (4.5 ha) site is owned and operated as a historic house museum and botanical garden by the 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Casa del Herrero. The Casa del Herrero organization's mission is to restore and preserve the house and grounds for the benefit of the visiting public.
