Stitzel–Weller Distillery

Hallmark is a small, primarily residential neighborhood in western Louisville, Kentucky, United States founded in 1965. Its boundaries are Cane Run Road to the west, Algonquin Parkway to the north, and Cypress street to the east. The origins of its name are not known. The area sits along Algonquin Park east to west near the border of Louisville and Shively. There are few distinctions that separate Hallmark from the surrounding areas of Park Duvalle or Shively. One of the most prominent churches in the area was the Canaan Missionary Baptist Church once located in the Hallmark area from 1984 to 1998, drawing most of the people around Hallmark and areas in the west end to the church on Sundays. The church moved to Hikes Point at the former Southeast Christian Church where they currently worship and is presently one of the largest African-American Baptist churches in Kentucky. The church is now home to the Hill Street Baptist Church at the old Dixie Highway site.

Park DuValle is a neighborhood southwest of downtown Louisville, Kentucky. It was developed starting in the late-19th century and historically been a predominantly African-American community. Its boundaries are I-264 (the Shawnee Expressway) to the west, the Norfolk Southern Railway tracks to the north, Cypress Street to the east, and Bells Lane and Algonquin Parkway to the south. The neighborhood reflects the presence of several nearby parks, and DuValle Junior High School; all named after Lucie DuValle, the first female principal of a high school in Louisville.

Jacobs is a neighborhood on the south side of Louisville, Kentucky, in the United States. Its boundaries are Berry Boulevard to the north, Taylor Boulevard to the east, the I-264 to the south, and Seventh Street to the west. It was developed as Jacob's Addition in 1892 after the opening of nearby Jacob's Park (now "Iroquois Park") and named for four-time Louisville mayor Charles Donald Jacob. The area housed a veteran's hospital, Nichols General Hospital, until 1952. The area includes Manslick Cemetery, a burial ground for indigents started in the 1870s, and Watterson Lake Park.

Its studios are located west of downtown and the transmitter is on the city's westside near I-264. WLOU utilizes an FM translator: W284AD 104.7 FM covering most urban parts of Louisville and the southern Indiana suburbs of New Albany, Clarksville, and Jeffersonville. The Louisville, KY-IN radio market has approximately 200,000 African-American citizens, 170,000 aged 6+ years.

Taylor-Berry is a neighborhood in Louisville, Kentucky, United States. Its boundaries are Taylor Boulevard to the east, Berry Boulevard to the south, Seventh Street Road to the west, and Algonquin Parkway to the north.

The Seagram's Distillery (also known as the Calvert Distillery) is a historic building complex in Louisville, Kentucky, on Seventh Street Road. It was originally constructed between 1933 and 1936 for the production of bourbon whiskey by Distillers Corporation Limited, who acquired Joseph E. Seagram & Sons (later renamed to The Seagram Company Ltd.) in 1928. The Seagram company has since ceased operation, and its assets were acquired by other companies, notably The Coca-Cola Company, Diageo, and Pernod Ricard.

St George's Roman Catholic Church is located in Louisville, Kentucky and is a Neo-Baroque church constructed in 1915. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1982, and the listing was increased in 1996.

Rubbertown is a neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky, located along the Ohio River. During World War II, it became the home of many industrial plants which remained after the war and led to its name. Its largest businesses include American Synthetic Rubber, Borden Chemical, DuPont Dow Elastomers, Noveon, Dow Chemical (formerly Rohm and Haas), and Zeon Chemicals.

The Virginia Avenue Colored School is a historic school building at 3628 Virginia Avenue in Louisville, Kentucky. Built in 1923 to address overcrowding of a 1915 building, the school was the city's first purpose-built segregated school for African-Americans. It was built by Samuel M. Plato, a prolific local African-American building contractor, and is Renaissance Revival in style. It was enlarged in 1954 and again in 1969 in an attempt to stave off forced integration. It was renamed Jessie R. Carter Elementary School in 1970, and was finally integrated in 1975.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. It presently houses the West End School, a private boarding school for boys up to 8th grade.
