Chesterfield High School

Thornton is a village in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, in Merseyside, England. Within the boundaries of the historic county of Lancashire and situated to the north east of Crosby, it is a residential area of semi-detached and detached housing which dates mainly from the 1930s. Many of the houses, particularly those around Edge Lane and Water Street, feature notably long gardens. The A565 Liverpool-Southport road serves the area. At the 2001 Census the population of the village and civil parish was recorded as 2,262, falling to 2,139 at the Census 2011.

Moor Park is a residential area of Crosby in Merseyside. Initially developed in the early years of the twentieth century, it is situated on the northern side of Moor Lane, the main A565 road out of Crosby to the north, encompassing Moor Close, Moor Coppice and the northern tip of Forefield Lane. It includes the tree-lined Poplar Avenue, Elm Avenue and Chestnut Avenue, and the Tithebarn, a masonic residential home set in its own grounds. Chestnut Avenue, as its name suggests, is lined on both sides by many conker trees. At its northerly end is a public footpath, which leads between agricultural fields, and around the walls of Crosby Hall to Little Crosby. Moor Park is also home to the Northern Club, situated in Elm Avenue, who moved there in 1907 while the residential site was in its infancy. The club has continued to evolve, and has facilities for cricket, hockey, crown green bowling and squash.

Rimrose Valley is a 3.5 km (2.2 mi) country park and valley which forms a border between Crosby and Litherland in the borough of Sefton, Merseyside, England, with the Leeds and Liverpool Canal on its eastern edge.Because the brook that runs through the park regularly floods, it remained clear of the housing developments that grew up on either side. However, the central area was used as a tip until 1978 and restoration began in 1993. Rimrose is a Hybrid word from Old English hrim (modern "rim"), 'border' and Celtic ros meaning "moor" or "heath".Following concern over young people riding scrambler bikes in the park, resulting in at least one serious accident, the police launched a crackdown in 2015. This led to the formation of Rimrose Valley Friends; a charity which works to promote, protect and enhance the park. The charity delivers activities and events which use the parkland to promote physical and mental health, community cohesion and projects which protect the natural environment.

The Seafield Convent of the Sacred Heart of Mary (1908–1977) was a Roman Catholic convent school for girls run by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary founded in Crosby, England, in 1872. The school soon moved to Seafield House in Seaforth, which gave it the name by which it is best known. The school moved to Liverpool Road, Crosby in 1905. It merged with St Bede's Secondary Modern in 1977 to form Sacred Heart Catholic College.

St Luke's Church is on Liverpool Road, near the centre of Great Crosby, Sefton, Merseyside, England. It is an active Anglican parish church in the diocese of Liverpool. The church is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. The east end of the church was rebuilt following a fire in 1972.

St Mary's College is an independent Roman Catholic coeducational day school in Crosby, Merseyside, about 7 miles (11 km) north of Liverpool. It comprises an early years department "Bright Sparks" (age 4 and under), preparatory school known as "The Mount" (age 4-11) and secondary school with a 6th Form (age 11-18). It was formerly a direct grant grammar school for boys, founded and controlled by the Christian Brothers order. Notable alumni include John Birt, Roger McGough, Tony Booth and Cardinal Vincent Nichols.

Litherland is a town in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, Merseyside. It was an urban district, which included Seaforth and Ford. It neighbours Waterloo to the north, Seaforth to the west, and Bootle to the south and is approximately 5 miles (8.0 km) north of Liverpool city centre.
