St Luke's Church, Great Crosby

The Seafield Convent of the Sacred Heart of Mary (1908–1977) was a Roman Catholic convent school for girls run by the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary founded in Crosby, England, in 1872. The school soon moved to Seafield House in Seaforth, which gave it the name by which it is best known. The school moved to Liverpool Road, Crosby in 1905. It merged with St Bede's Secondary Modern in 1977 to form Sacred Heart Catholic College.

It was formerly a direct grant grammar school for boys, founded and controlled by the Christian Brothers order. Sefton was a rural district in Lancashire, England from 1894 to 1932. It was created by the Local Government Act 1894 based on West Derby rural sanitary district. It included the following parishes: Aintree Croxteth Park (to Liverpool in 1928) Fazakerley (to Liverpool in 1905) Orrell and Ford (split 1905 to Orrell which became part of Bootle, and Ford, which remained in Sefton RD) Ince Blundell Kirkby (transferred to Whiston Rural District in 1922) Lunt Netherton Sefton Thornton West Derby Rural (to Liverpool in 1928)It was abolished by a County Review Order in 1932, with the parishes being added to the West Lancashire Rural District (Lunt being abolished and added to Sefton parish at the same time). The remaining parishes, Aintree, Ford (itself absorbed into Litherland Urban District in 1954), Ince Blundell, Netherton, Sefton and Thornton, have all formed part of the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton in Merseyside since 1974.

Crosby was a constituency in Merseyside, represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1950 until 2010. It elected one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election.

St Michael's Church of England High School (formerly known as Manor High School) is a secondary school and sixth form located in Crosby, Merseyside, England. The school's missionary statement is: We will ensure that each individual is valued and achieves success within a caring Christian community. Facilities at the school include five computer rooms (350 computers in total), 42 interactive whiteboards, a science department, a sports hall, a 3D learning center and a gym. There is also a sixth form for students wishing to study A-Levels.

Moor Park is a residential area of Crosby in Merseyside. Initially developed in the early years of the twentieth century, it is situated on the northern side of Moor Lane, the main A565 road out of Crosby to the north, encompassing Moor Close, Moor Coppice and the northern tip of Forefield Lane. It includes the tree-lined Poplar Avenue, Elm Avenue and Chestnut Avenue, and the Tithebarn, a masonic residential home set in its own grounds. Chestnut Avenue, as its name suggests, is lined on both sides by many conker trees. At its northerly end is a public footpath, which leads between agricultural fields, and around the walls of Crosby Hall to Little Crosby. Moor Park is also home to the Northern Club, situated in Elm Avenue, who moved there in 1907 while the residential site was in its infancy. The club has continued to evolve, and has facilities for cricket, hockey, crown green bowling and squash.

Crosby United Reformed Church, originally Great Crosby Congregational Church, is on the corner of Eshe Road and Mersey Road in Great Crosby, a suburb of Liverpool, Merseyside, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as a designated Grade II listed building. It is an active congregation of the United Reformed Church. The authors of the Buildings of England series, referring to the architecture of the church, say "The whole is very satisfying".
