Castleberry Hill is a neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia, adjacent to and southwest of Downtown Atlanta. It is a federally recognized historic district since 1985 and became a City of Atlanta Landmark District in 2006.

The John H. Lewis Gymnasium is a 7,000 seat venue on the campus of Morris Brown College. It was home to the Atlanta Thoroughbreds National Indoor Football League team, and in the fall of 2007 will be home to the Atlanta Krunk Wolverines Continental Basketball Association team.

Hope Moving Forward is a public monument in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Dedicated in 2021, the monument consists of a bronze statue of Martin Luther King Jr. designed by Basil Watson atop a pedestal. It is located at the intersection of Northside Drive and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Magic City is a prominent strip club in Atlanta, founded in 1985 and currently owned by Michael “Magic” Barney.

Garnett Station Place, also known as the Southern Belting Company Building and the Toshiba Building, is a historic building on Forsyth Street in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. It was designed by the firm of Lockwood Greene and Company and completed in 1915. In 1985 the architectural firm Stang and Newdow (now known as Stevens & Wilkinson) were retained to renovate the building into loft office space. In August 1988 the building was added the National Register of Historic Places.

Beaver Slide or Beavers' Slide was an African American slum area near Atlanta University documented as early as 1882. It was replaced by the University Homes public housing project in 1937, which was razed in 2008–9. Charles Forrest Palmer, the man who organized the clearance of Beaver Slide and creation of University Homes, stated in his autobiographical book that Beaver Slide's name was due to James Beavers, Atlanta Chief of Police from 1911 to 1915, once observing the slum from a hillside, losing his footing and sliding down into the slum, thus: "Beavers' Slide".Beaver Slide was noted for its criminality. In 1925 the area was targeted for a "cleanup" by city and university authorities.The area was celebrated musically in the "Beaver Slide Rag" by Peg Leg Howell And His Gang, 1927.It was finally razed to make for the University Homes public housing projects (William Augustus Edwards, architect), which opened in 1938. University Homes was razed in 2008–9. As of January 2012 there has been no definitive announcement of what will be built on the land.

Garnett is a rail station in Atlanta, Georgia, on the Red and Gold lines of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system. It has an island platform between two tracks with the north end of the platform facing a tunnel portal that leads to the Five Points station and other downtown Atlanta underground stations. This station has three levels. It was opened on December 4, 1981. The upper level has an entrance from the street and a mezzanine that is about 3/4 the length of the platform below. The lower level of the station is another entrance from another street and there is a Greyhound Bus Terminal next to the station. This station mainly serves South Downtown, Castleberry Hill, is a main gateway to tourists visiting Atlanta by Greyhound. and it provides access to the Municipal Court of Atlanta, Atlanta City Hall, Atlanta Public Schools, Castleberry Hill, The Grady Detention Center, and the main Greyhound Bus Terminal.

Clark Atlanta University (CAU or Clark Atlanta) is a private, Methodist, historically black research university in Atlanta, Georgia. Clark Atlanta is the first Historically Black College or University (HBCU) in the Southern United States. Founded on September 19, 1865, as Atlanta University, it consolidated with Clark College (established 1869) to form Clark Atlanta University in 1988. It is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity".

Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium located in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Opened in August 2017 as a replacement for the Georgia Dome, it serves as the home stadium of the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL) and Atlanta United FC of Major League Soccer (MLS). The stadium is owned by the state government of Georgia through the Georgia World Congress Center Authority, and operated by AMB Group, the parent organization of the Falcons and Atlanta United. In June 2016, the total cost of its construction was estimated at US$1.6 billion.The stadium officially opened on August 26, 2017, with a Falcons preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals, despite the retractable roof system being incomplete at the time. Several events formerly held at the Georgia Dome moved to Mercedes-Benz Stadium following its completion, including the SEC football championship game and the Peach Bowl. In 2018, it hosted the College Football Playoff National Championship and the MLS Cup (as Atlanta United held home field advantage), and it hosted Super Bowl LIII in 2019. Mercedes-Benz Stadium will host multiples matches during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Jenningstown was a shantytown in Atlanta built on the top of, and around, what was then known as Diamond Hill in the First Ward. Atlanta University was built on the summit, opening in 1869. Its population shortly after the Civil War was 2,490, all black except for some white missionaries living there. It had rough roads and an inadequate water supply. Jenningstown is mentioned into the 20th century, though its boundaries were described as loosely defined; Beaver Slide was its southern border.

Fountain Hall, formerly Fairchild Hall and Stone Hall, is a historic academic building on the grounds of Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia. Built in 1882, it is the oldest surviving building originally associated with Atlanta University - now Clark Atlanta University - which is the first of all historically black colleges and universities in the American South founded September 19, 1865. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1974. It is now named after Bishop William A. Fountain.

The Herndon Home is a historic house museum and National Historic Landmark at 587 University Place NW, in Atlanta, Georgia. An elegant Classical Revival mansion with Beaux Arts influences, it was the home of Alonzo Franklin Herndon (1858-1927), a rags-to-riches success story who was born into slavery, but went on to become Atlanta's first black millionaire as founder and head of the Atlanta Life Insurance Company. The house was designed by his wife Adrienne, and was almost entirely built with African-American labor. The house was declared a National Historic Landmark in 2000, and had previously been declared a "landmark building exterior" by the city of Atlanta in 1989.
