St Peter's Church, Llanwenarth

Llanwenarth is a small village and parish in the Usk Valley of Monmouthshire, south-east Wales, United Kingdom. It is in the community of Llanfoist Fawr and covered by the electoral ward of Llanwenarth Ultra.

Llanwenarth Baptist Chapel, Govilon, Monmouthshire is the oldest Baptist chapel in Wales. Founded in 1652, the present building was constructed in 1695, and was remodelled in the 18th, 19th and 21st centuries. The chapel is a Grade II* listed building and remains an active Baptist chapel.

The Abergavenny fireworks display is an annual organized fireworks display held each year on 5 November, Guy Fawkes Night in Abergavenny, Wales. The event takes place in Belgrave Park, at the Nevill Hall Hospital end of town (not at the hospital itself). It has been running each year since 1968. The event is run and organized by the local social networking club Abergavenny and District Round Table, which is one of the branches in the UK of the Round Table. It is a non profit event with all proceeds being distributed to charities and good causes, primarily in and around the Abergavenny area. Some of those to have benefited from monies raised from the Abergavenny fireworks display include: Abergavenny Scouts, Crickhowell Scouts, Jigsaw community project, Llanbedr Village Thai Boxing, Mardy Juniors Football, RTB Ebbw Vale Junior AFC Club, a fuller list is on the Abergavenny and District Round Table website.

Govilon (Welsh: Gofilon) is a small Welsh village located between Llanfoist and Gilwern near Abergavenny in north Monmouthshire. It is part of the community of Llanfoist Fawr. the population was 1,447 in 2011.

Nevill Hall Hospital (Welsh: Ysbyty Nevill Hall) is a district general hospital in Abergavenny, north Monmouthshire, Wales. It is managed by the Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.

Govilon railway station was a station on the London and North Western Railway's Heads of the Valleys line serving the village of Govilon in the Welsh county of Monmouthshire.

Llanfoist (Welsh: Llan-ffwyst) is a village near Abergavenny, in Monmouthshire, Wales, in the community of Llanfoist Fawr. Llanfoist derives from Ffwyst, an early Christian Welsh saint, although the anglicised version of the church patron is Saint Faith. The population was 1,228 in 2011.

Llanfoist Fawr (Welsh: Llan-ffwyst Fawr) is a community in the county of Monmouthshire, Wales, and is 23.8 miles (38.3 km) from Cardiff and 126.3 miles (203.2 km) from London. In 2011 the population of Llanfoist Fawr was 3217 with 10.2% of them able to speak Welsh.The community includes the villages of Govilon, Llanwenarth, Llanellen and Llanfoist itself. The name of the local school is also Llanfoist Fawr. Llanfoist Fawr is also the name of a county electoral ward, which elects a county councillor to Monmouthshire County Council. The county ward includes part of the Llanfoist Fawr community, namely the community wards of Llanfoist, Llanellen and Llanwenarth Citra. The Llanwenarth Ultra ward (covering Govilon) elects its own county councillor. All four community wards elect or co-opt up to twelve community councillors to Llanfoist Fawr Community Council.

Abergavenny Bridge, (also known as Usk Bridge), crosses the River Usk at the boundary between Abergavenny and Llanfoist. The bridge carries the A4143. The bridge is of medieval origin, but was substantially reconstructed in the early 19th century, to support a tramroad, and in the mid 19th century, when the two bridges were combined.

Llanwenarth Ultra is an electoral ward near Abergavenny, Monmouthshire. The ward elects councillors to Llanfoist Fawr Community Council and Monmouthshire County Council.

Llanwenarth House is a small country house, formerly a hotel, located off the B4246 road, west of Govilon and Llanfoist, just south of Abergavenny in the Usk valley of Monmouthshire, Wales. It was built in the late 16th century, although the drawing room and some of the furnishings are from the Georgian period.

Pen-y-Pound is a cricket ground in Abergavenny, Wales. It is the home of Abergavenny Cricket Club, who play in the South Wales Cricket League. The ground was first used by the Glamorgan 1st XI in 1981 for limited over matches and in 1983 for County Championship matches. Between 1985 and 1997, the ground hosted a County Championship match annually. However, Glamorgan have only used the ground twice since then. The ground has hosted 16 first-class matches, including Glamorgan v Bangladesh A in 2005 and 3 List A matches, including Wales Minor Counties v Denmark, a Cheltenham and Gloucester Trophy match, in 2003.
