Govilon (Welsh: Gofilon) is a small Welsh village located between Llanfoist and Gilwern near Abergavenny in north Monmouthshire. It is part of the community of Llanfoist Fawr. the population was 1,447 in 2011.

Govilon railway station was a station on the London and North Western Railway's Heads of the Valleys line serving the village of Govilon in the Welsh county of Monmouthshire.

It was built in the late 16th century, although the drawing room and some of the furnishings are from the Georgian period.

Rebuilt in the 19th century, it was listed Grade II* in 1956. It remains an active Church in Wales church in the parish of Llanwenarth Citra.

Blorenge, also called The Blorenge (; Welsh: Blorens), is a prominent hill overlooking the valley of the River Usk near Abergavenny, Monmouthshire, southeast Wales. It is situated in the southeastern corner of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The summit plateau reaches a height of 561 metres (1,841 ft).

Garnddyrys Forge was an iron foundry in Wales that operated from about 1817 to 1860 about 3 km (2 miles) north of Blaenavon in Wales, lying on a tramroad between Blaenavon and the Brecknock and Abergavenny Canal. At one time 450 people lived around the ironworks. It became isolated when the railway took a different route to Blaenavon, and was abandoned. Although little now is visible, it is archaeologically well-preserved.

Gilwern is a village within the Brecon Beacons National Park in Monmouthshire, Wales. Historically in Brecknockshire, it extends to either side of the River Clydach on the south side of the Usk valley. Its position beside the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal led to it being an important industrial centre at one time.

Y Graig, three miles west of Abergavenny, is the site of an abandoned settlement, known to have been occupied in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is a scheduled monument in the care of Cadw.

Llanfoist (Welsh: Llan-ffwyst) is a village near Abergavenny, in Monmouthshire, Wales, in the community of Llanfoist Fawr. Llanfoist derives from Ffwyst, an early Christian Welsh saint, although the anglicised version of the church patron is Saint Faith. The population was 1,228 in 2011.
