Simon Ritter Cobblestone Farmhouse is a historic house located at Varick in Seneca County, New York. It is a late Federal / early Greek Revival style, cobblestone farmhouse with an overlay of Italianate detailing. It is a two-story, slightly asymmetrical structure, on a raised fieldstone foundation. It was built about 1830 and is constructed of irregularly sized and variously colored field cobbles. The house is among the approximately 18 surviving cobblestone buildings in Seneca County. Also on the property are two large early / mid 19th century barns, a carriage house and machine shed, a boathouse built about 1900 on the shore of Cayuga Lake, and a limestone carriage stepping stone.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008. The owners operate Varick Winery, which has a tasting room on another part of the property.

It is located four miles (6 km) east of the hamlet of Romulus, at an elevation of 400 feet (122 m). The primary intersection within the vicinity of the hamlet is at N.Y. Route 89 and Ernsberger Road (CR 128).

Christ Evangelical and Reformed Church, also known as United Church of Fayette, is a historic Evangelical and Reformed church located at Fayette in Seneca County, New York. It was constructed in 1823 in a simple rectangular form with gable roof and modest Federal period detailing. It was updated and its Romanesque qualities enhanced in 1882 with the addition of a four-stage bell tower with Queen Anne decoration. The adjacent cemetery was in use between 1810 and 1926, and the surrounding cast-iron fence was installed in 1877.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Canoga is a hamlet in the Town of Fayette, Seneca County, New York, United States, along Cayuga Lake. It is located seven miles (11 km) southeast of the hamlet of Seneca Falls, at an elevation of 449 feet (137 m). The primary cross roads where the hamlet is located are N.Y. Route 89 and Canoga Road (CR 121). The word Canoga, or "Ga-no-geh" as called by native Cayuga people, means "place of the sweet water".Canoga and the immediate area is home to some members of the Cayuga Nation. Nearby at Canoga Cemetery is a historical monument marking the birthplace of Seneca Indian Chief Red Jacket, although it is currently unknown as to where he was actually born. According to Iroquois history and tradition, Chief Red Jacket was born in 1750 at the former Indian village of Skannayutenate along Canoga Creek which was later burned in 1779 by troops under the command of Colonel Henry Dearborn during the Sullivan Expedition of the American Revolutionary War. As orator of the Six Nations of the Iroquois, there are six stones at the base of the Chief Red Jacket birthplace monument mentioning each of the tribes belonging to the Haudenosaunee Confederacy.Cayuga Lake State Park and Seneca Falls Country Club are located 4 miles (6 km) north of Canoga on N.Y. Route 89.

William Hoster House is a historic home located at Fayette in Seneca County, New York. It is a four bay wide, two story, brick dwelling built about 1830 in the Federal style and later modified in the 1850s-1860s in the Italianate style. The hipped roof on the main block is topped by a distinctive octagonal cupola. Also on the property is a small, gable roofed corn crib.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.When listed in 2002, the house stood clear on a hill, presumably quite visible from NY-414, which is only about 500 feet (150 m) away. In 2021, the house was completely hidden from the road by trees and vines.

Seneca County is located in the U.S. state of New York. As of the 2020 census, the population was 33,814. The primary county seat is Waterloo, moved there from the original county seat of Ovid in 1819. It became a two-shire county in 1822, which currently remains in effect and uses both locations as county seats although the majority of Seneca County administrative offices are located in Waterloo. Therefore, most political sources list only Waterloo as the county seat. The county's name comes from the Seneca Nation of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois), who occupied part of the region. Seneca County comprises the Seneca Falls, NY Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Rochester-Batavia-Seneca Falls, NY Combined Statistical Area.

Aurora Steam Grist Mill was a historic grist mill located in Aurora, Cayuga County, New York. It was a monolithic, 3+1⁄2-story rectangular stone structure built on the shore of Lake Cayuga. It was one of the first mills built west of the Hudson River to be powered by steam. In 1974, the building's roof collapsed due to neglect and plans were to restore it for use as a community center. It was largely intact until 1992, when Wells College began to demolish it in order to build a dock behind the Aurora Inn.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
