Grasse station (French: Gare de Grasse) is a railway station serving Grasse, Alpes-Maritimes department, southeastern France. It is the terminus of the Cannes-la-Bocca to Grasse Railway Line from Cannes. The station opened in 1871, and was closed after 1938 until it was rebuilt and reopened in 2005. From 1909 until 1938, the station was connected to Grasse's town centre by the Grasse Funicular. Proposals to rebuild a funicular have been ongoing since 2005. The station is served by regional trains (TER Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur) to Cannes, Antibes and Nice.

The Grasse Funicular was a funicular line that previously connected the town of Grasse, France, with its railway station. The town centre of Grasse is perched on a hillside approximately 300 m (980 ft) above sea level and 75 m (246 ft) above the town's railway station with service from Cannes. The railway station opened in 1871 and a funicular to connect Grasse's town centre and station was completed in 1909. In 1938, the Cannes-la-Bocca to Grasse Railway Line suspended passenger service resulting in the closure of the railway station and the funicular which was subsequently dismantled. In 2005, passenger service resumed to a rebuilt Grasse Railway Station. Since the reopening of the railway station, there have been discussions on the potential reopening of the Grasse Funicular. A proposal announced in 2010 would have seen a new funicular line constructed by 2013 with 4 stations and a length of 570 m (1,870 ft) for a total cost of €40 million. By 2018, the project had gone back to the planning stage without any construction having occurred after significant community opposition and €16 million spent on feasibility studies.

Grasse Cathedral, now the Church of Notre-Dame-du-Puy (French: Cathédrale Notre-Dame-du-Puy de Grasse), is a 12th-century Roman Catholic church located in Grasse, Alpes-Maritimes, France. The former cathedral is in the Romanesque architectural style, and is a national monument.As a cathedral it was the seat of the Bishop of Grasse. The diocese of Grasse was abolished under the Concordat of 1801 and since then the building has been a parish church.

The former French Catholic diocese of Grasse was founded in the 4th or 5th century as the diocese of Antibes. It was originally suffragan to the Archbishop of Aix, and then to the Archbishop of Embrun. The see moved from Antibes to Grasse in 1244. It remained at Grasse Cathedral until the French Revolution. The diocese was suppressed by the Concordat of 1801, its territory passing to the diocese of Nice.

The canton of Grasse-1 is an administrative division of the Alpes-Maritimes department, southeastern France. It was created at the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. Its seat is in Grasse.It consists of the following communes:

Communauté d'agglomération du Pays de Grasse is an intercommunal structure, centred on the city of Grasse. It is located in the Alpes-Maritimes department, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, southeastern France. It was created in January 2014. Its seat is in Grasse. Its area is 489.9 km2. Its population was 101,594 in 2017, of which 50,396 in Grasse proper.

Grasse (French pronunciation: [ɡʁas]; Provençal Occitan: Grassa in classical norm or Grasso in Mistralian norm [ˈɡɾasɔ]; traditional Italian: Grassa) is the only subprefecture of the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur region on the French Riviera. In 2017, the commune had a population of 50,396. Considered the world's capital of perfume, Grasse obtained two flowers in the Concours des villes et villages fleuris and was made Ville d'Art et d'Histoire (City of Art and History).

La Pitchoune is a small stucco house that Julia Child and her husband, Paul, built in the Provençal village of Plascassier in France in the early 1960s. La Pitchoune is a Provençal expression for "the little one", deriving from the Occitan word pichon. The cottage was built on property belonging to Simone Beck and her husband Jean Fischbacher with a "handshake" promise they would turn it over to the Fischbachers when they finished their use. The Childs began construction in 1963 and occupied the property shortly thereafter. "La Pitchoune" was often lovingly shortened to "La Peetch", and the Childs visited the property yearly. Here they entertained the culinary likes of James Beard and M. F. K. Fisher. Following the deterioration of Paul's health and the death of long-time friend Simone Beck in December 1991, Julia relinquished the property in June 1992. She later recalled that La Pitchoune had lost its "raison d’être" without Paul or Simone and that she had no regrets giving up the property.

Mouans-Sartoux (French pronunciation: ​[mwɑ̃ saʁtu]; known in Occitan as Moans e Sartòu or Moans e Sartol) is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in southeastern France. The inhabitants are called Mouansois. The commune of Sartoux was combined with the commune of Mouans, to take the combined name of Mouans-Sartoux by order of Napoleon III on 28 March 1858.

Auribeau-sur-Siagne (French pronunciation: ​[oʁibo syʁ sjaɲ], literally Auribeau on Siagne; Occitan: Auribèu de Sianha) is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of south-eastern France. The inhabitants of the commune are known as Auribélois or Auribéloises.

Châteauneuf-Grasse (French: [ʃɑtonœf ɡʁas]; Occitan: Castèunòu de Grassa), alternatively known as names are Châteauneuf de Grasse or simply Châteauneuf, is a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region in Southeastern France. Châteauneuf-Grasse is situated on the French Riviera, just over 4 km (2.4 mi) from Grasse and 21 km (13 mi) from Cannes; it borders the villages of Plascassier and Opio. It extends across 895 hectares (2,211 acres) and has a population of over 3,600 inhabitants. It is divided into two districts: Pré-du-Lac (where most of the commerce is found) and Le Vignal.
