San Juan Zitlaltepec is a town of Zumpango, in the state of Mexico State, north of Mexico Valley. The name Zitlaltepec comes from Náhuatl meaning mountain of the star.

Nextlalpan is a municipality in the State of Mexico in Mexico. The municipality covers an area of 42.49 km². It's municipal seat is the town of Santa Ana Nextlalpan. As of 2005, the municipality had a total population of 22,507.

Tonanitla is one of 125 municipalities in Mexico State in Mexico. It's municipal seat is the town of Santa Maria Tonanitla. It is a new municipality created in 2003.

AIFA will be the northern terminus of a branch of the Tren Suburbano. It will be located in the Municipality of Zumpango, State of Mexico. The station is expected to be opened in summer 2024.

Ojo de Agua is the largest town in the municipality of Tecámac in State of Mexico, Mexico. It is located in the northeastern part of the state, northeast of the Federal District (Distrito Federal) and within the Greater Mexico City urban area. It had a 2010 census population of 242,272 inhabitants, or 66.45 percent of its municipality's total of 364,579. Ojo de Agua is the largest locality in Mexico that is not a municipal seat. (The municipal seat lies in the town of Tecámac de Felipe Villanueva, with a population of 15,911 inhabitants.) Ojo de Agua lies at an elevation of 2,248 m (7,375 ft.) above sea level.

The 20th federal electoral district of the State of Mexico (Spanish: Distrito electoral federal 20 del Estado de México) is one of the 300 electoral districts into which Mexico is divided for elections to the federal Chamber of Deputies and one of 40 such districts in the State of Mexico. It elects one deputy to the lower house of Congress for each three-year legislative session by means of the first-past-the-post system. Votes cast in the district also count towards the calculation of proportional representation ("plurinominal") deputies elected from the fifth region. The 20th district was created by the 1977 electoral reforms, which increased the number of single-member seats in the Chamber of Deputies from 196 to 300. Under that plan, the State of Mexico's seat allocation rose from 15 to 34. The new districts were first contended in the 1979 mid-term election.

San Pablo de las Salinas is the second-largest colonia in Tultitlán Municipality in the State of Mexico, Mexico. The neighborhood is part of the Mexico City metropolitan area and had a 2010 census population of 189,453 inhabitants, or 36.15% of the municipal population. The town lies near the northern tip of Mexico City. It is the third-largest locality in Mexico that is not a municipal seat (after Ojo de Agua, Tecámac Municipality, and Buenavista, also in Tultitlán Municipality). The neighborhood of Granjas San Pablo was founded in 1957, the first family that moved to Granjas San Pablo was Don Antonio Lopez-Araiza y Padilla and her wife Consuelo Villegas de Araiza, Daughters Guillermina Araiza Garcia, Nancy Araiza Martinez, Abel Araiza, Antonio Araiza y Carlos Araiza.

Its largest town, Ojo de Agua, with a population of 242,283 inhabitants, is the largest locality in Mexico that is not a municipal seat. As of the 2010 census, the municipality had a total population of 364,579 inhabitants.

Tultepec (Nahuatl languages: Tōltepec, Otomi: Nt‘ōkwä) is a city and municipality located in State of Mexico, Mexico. It lies directly north of Mexico City in the northeastern part of the State of Mexico, making it part of the Greater Mexico City urban area. The name comes from Náhuatl meaning 'hill of the 'tule'. The census of 2005 reported a population of 57,586 for the city and 110,145 for the municipality as a whole.

The National Pyrotechnic Festival (Spanish: Feria Nacional de la Pirotecnia), which takes place in Mexico, is an annual event to promote the country's tradition of production and use of fireworks. It began as celebration in honor of John of God, the patron saint of fireworks makers, in the municipality of Tultepec, State of Mexico, which produces about three quarters of all Mexico’s fireworks. The main event, a parade of toritos—or bull-shaped frames with fireworks attached to them—began in the mid 19th century. The modern national festival began in 1989 and consists of various events, including fireworks competitions. However, the main event remains that of the toritos; about 250 of which were paraded along the streets of Tultepec during the 2013 festival.

On 20 December 2016, a fireworks accident occurred at the San Pablito Market in the city of Tultepec, north of Valley of Mexico. At least 42 people were killed in the explosion, and dozens injured.
