Bulwick Meadows

Bulwick is a village and civil parish in North Northamptonshire, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 152 people, including Blatherwycke and increasing to 171 at the 2011 census. It is about six miles north-east of Corby, and is just off the A43 road. The Willow Brook runs through the village. The villages name means 'bull specialised farm'.The village Church of England parish church is dedicated to St Nicholas. Bulwick Meadows is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. The village is twinned with Adams, North Dakota.

Deene Park, the seat of the Brudenell family since 1514, is a country manor located 5 miles (8 kilometres) northeast of Corby in the county of Northamptonshire, England. The hall itself is a Grade I listed building dating back to the 14th century which has been modified several times since then to create the current structure.Seven of the Brudenell family were Earls of Cardigan – the most notable being the 7th Earl who led the Charge of the Light Brigade at the Battle of Balaclava (1854). The 7th Earl died childless in 1868, and while the Earldom of Cardigan merged with the Marquessate of Ailesbury, the Deene Park estate passed, after the death in 1915 of his widow, to the descendants of his second cousin Ernest Brudenell-Bruce, 3rd Marquess of Ailesbury.The estate was inherited by its current owner, Robert Brudenell, in 2014; he is the son of Edmund and Marian Brudenell, who devoted their lives to the rehabilitation of Deene Park and are largely responsible for the estate's present appearance. They are descended from the 3rd Marquess's son Commodore Lord Robert Brudenell-Bruce RN. Lord Robert's son George, Edmund's father, inherited the family seat along with the family's remaining estates in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, and reverted the family name back to "Brudenell" by Royal Licence.

Deenethorpe is a village and civil parish in North Northamptonshire, England. It is situated north-east of Corby and near the A43 road between Corby and Stamford. Nearby villages are Deene located 1.9 miles (3.1 km) to the North-West, Bulwick 1.9 miles (3.1 km) and Upper Benefield 2.5 miles (4.0 km) South-East to Deenethorpe. In the early 1870s, Deenethorpe was described as: "Deenethorpe parish, Northampton; 1 mile SSE of Deene village. Real property, £1, 942. Houses, 48." The population of Deenethorpe in the 1881 census was just over 200. Since then, there was a decline in the first half of the 20th century, as shown by the total population graph, where it reached a low of around 60 people. In 1960 the population increased and at the time of the 2001 census, the parish's population was 103 people and according to the 2011 census the population is currently at 133. The pre-dominant age group living in Deenethorpe is middle-age as there are 48 people aged between 45 and 59.The 600 acres (240 ha) Deenethorpe airfield is one of the sites that has been approved for a "garden village" in 2017. The plans include a village green, shops and community hall, as well as more than 1,000 homes.

Royal Air Force Deenethorpe or more simply RAF Deenethorpe is a former Royal Air Force station located 2 miles (3.2 km) east of Corby, Northamptonshire, England. It has one remaining tarmac runway at 1200m (3937ft) long.

Royal Air Force Spanhoe or more simply RAF Spanhoe (also known as Harringworth or Wakerley) is a former Royal Air Force station near Uppingham in Northamptonshire, England. The airfield is located approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) east of Uppingham; about 80 miles (130 km) north-northwest of London Opened in 1943, it was used by both the Royal Air Force and United States Army Air Forces. During the war it was used primarily as a transport airfield. After the war it was closed in late 1945. Today, much of the airfield has been returned to agriculture, however one runway remains and the airfield is currently active and houses various privately owned light aircraft.

Weldon Park is a 51.7-hectare (128-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest east of Weldon in Northamptonshire.This ancient woodland is mainly ash, maple and hazel. It has diverse flora, especially on grassland rides, and unusual plants on the wettest soils. Insects include the uncommon purple emperor butterfly.

St Luke's Church is a church in Tixover, Rutland. It is a Grade II* listed building. The church is close to the River Welland, now about 3/4 mile from the village of Tixover.

The A427 road is a major road in the English Midlands. It connects the Leicestershire town of Market Harborough and the A6 with the Northamptonshire town of Oundle and the A605.
