Didžioji Riešė

Kalinas (Polish: Kalin) is a village in Vilnius District Municipality, Riešė Eldership. It is located 2 kilometers northeast of Didžioji Riešė, by the Riešė river.

Riešė is a village in Vilnius District Municipality, Lithuania. According to the 2021 census, it had population of 1,595, an increase from 2011 census, which recorded 1,234 inhabitants, up from 419 in 1989 or +281% in 32 years. According to the estimates of the Avižieniai Eldership, it had population of 1,707. Riešė together with adjacent villages is one of the fastest growing localities in the vicinity of Vilnius because of suburbanisation. The oldest and the largest (more than 800 horses) horse farm in Lithuania, specializing in breeding and growing Trakehner, Žemaitukas, and other horse breeds, is situated in Riešė. Riešė has a champignon mushroom growing complex, one of the largest in Europe.

Raudondvaris is a village in Vilnius District Municipality, in Riešė Eldership. It is situated 15 kilometers north of Vilnius, near Lake Raudondvaris. The village houses an 18th/19th-century manor treasury, tower and park.

Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Klinikos (Lithuanian: Vilniaus Universiteto ligoninė Santaros klinikos, formerly known as Santariškių Klinikos ) in Vilnius, Lithuania is a teaching hospital of the Vilnius University Faculty of Medicine. Santaros Klinikos is co-funded by the Lithuanian Ministry of Health and Vilnius University. It has a staff of 5372 employees, including 1409 medical doctors, 1978 nurses and other highly qualified professionals. Battle of Verkiai fought in autumn of 1658 between the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth and the Tsardom of Russia marked the resumption of hostilities in the Russo-Polish War (1654–67); it ended with Russian victory. Russians, close to signing a peace treaty with Sweden (truce of Valiersari ending the Russo–Swedish War (1656–58)) decided to resume the war with Poland in order to gain control over the disputed Ruthenian territories. After the inconclusive negotiations with the Poles in Vilnius, army of prince Yury Dolgorukov attacked the Polish units guarding the Polish delegations near Verkiai. Polish troops were taken by surprise and were defeated, Russians took many prisoners, including the Polish leader, hetman Wincenty Korwin Gosiewski; Gosiewski would remain a hostage for four years. Another Polish commander, hetman Paweł Jan Sapieha, would be later blamed for not coming to the aid of Gosiewski due to personal friction between them.

Jeruzalė ("Jerusalem" in Lithuanian) is a neighborhood of Vilnius under the administration of the Verkiai eldersip (lt:Verkių seniūnija). It is located just north of the Vilnius city center, neighboring with Santariškės, Verkiai, Baltupiai, and Visoriai,approximately bordered by the Mokslininkų ("Scientists") street in the north, Iron Wolf street in the west, Ateities street in the south, and the Jeruzalė street in the east.

Verkiai Palace (Lithuanian: Verkių rūmai) is an 18th-century neoclassical mansion in Verkiai, Vilnius, Lithuania.

The Verkė is a small (around 2 km. long) rivulet in Vilnius, Lithuania, which gave the name to the Verkiai neighborhood. According to the legend, the Verkė was the birthplace of the semi-legendary pagan priest Lizdeika, a forefather of the Radziwiłł family.

Neris Regional Park was established in 1992 and covers about 10,000 hectares in Lithuania. Its territory lies within the Vilnius district municipality, the Trakai district municipality, and the Elektrėnai municipality. Portions of the park are privately owned. 87% of the territory is covered in forests. The park is divided into zones, including 11 restricted nature reserves and a cultural reserve. The most heavily wooded of Lithuania's regional parks, it includes one of the largest and oldest surviving stands of oak trees in the country.

The Church of the Discovery of the Holy Cross (Lithuanian: Šv. Kryžiaus Atradimo bažnyčia) is a Roman Catholic church in Jeruzalė neighborhood of Vilnius, Lithuania. Located on the right bank of Neris River, it is the centerpiece of the Vilnius Calvary, a 35-station Way of the Cross.

Bendoriai is an old village in Avižieniai Eldership, Vilnius District Municipality, Lithuania. It is located just north of Vilnius, on the old road Vilnius–Ukmergė, intergrown with Klevinė. At the 2021 census, the village had a population of 943, an increase compared to 2011 census, when 764 inhabitants were counted. That was 345% increase compared to 1989 census which recorded the population of 212 inhabitants. The only in Lithuania wooden memorial for Soviet soldiers is situated in Bendoriai. There is a horse farm in the village. Bendoriai belongs to the suburban belt of Vilnius, which faces unprecedented growth during the last 20 years. New houses are being built in the village for newcomer residents from Vilnius. Vilnius city bus number 87 connects the area with the capital city.
