Thipphawan station (Thai: สถานีทิพวัล, pronounced [sā.tʰǎː.nīː tʰíp.pʰā.wān]) is a Bangkok MRT station on the Yellow Line. The station is located on Thepharak road in Samut Prakan Province and is named after the Thipphawan Housing Community located adjacent to the station. The station has four entrances. It opened on 3 June 2023 as part of trial operations on the line between Samrong and Hua Mak.

Erawan Museum (Thai: พิพิธภัณฑ์ช้างเอราวัณ) is a museum in Samut Prakan Province, Thailand. It is well known for its giant three-headed elephant art display. The three storeys inside the elephant contain antiquities and priceless collections of ancient religious objects belonging to Lek Viriyapant who was the museum owner and also creator of the Ancient Siam and Sanctuary of Truth museums which stores artifacts and heritage items. The museum displays important model sculptures which shows many facets of Thai culture.

It opened on 6 December 2018 as part of the 13 km eastern extension. Rides on the extension were free until April 16, 2019. The station is near with Erawan Museum on Sukhumvit Road.

Si Thepha station (Thai: สถานีศรีเทพา, pronounced [sā.tʰǎː.nīː sǐː tʰēː.pʰāː]) is a Bangkok MRT station on the Yellow Line. The station is located on Thepharak road in Samut Prakan Province and is a portmanteau of the name of Srinagarindra and Thepharak roads, which intersect adjacent to the station. The station has four entrances. It opened on 3 June 2023 as part of trial operations on the line between Samrong and Hua Mak.

It opened on 6 December 2018 as part of the 13 km eastern extension. Rides on the extension were free until April 16, 2019. The station is near the Royal Thai Naval Academy.

The station is located on Sringarindra Road in Samut Prakan Province and is a portmanteau of the name of Srinagarindra and Dan Samrong (Sukhumvit 113) roads, of which intersect adjacent to the station. The station has four entrances. It opened on 3 June 2023 as part of trial operations on the line between Samrong and Hua Mak.

Mueang Samut Prakan district (Thai: อำเภอเมืองสมุทรปราการ, pronounced [mɯ̄a̯ŋ sā.mùt prāː.kāːn] pronunciation ) or colloquially as Paknam Samut Prakan (Thai: ปากน้ำสมุทรปราการ) is the capital district (amphoe mueang) of Samut Prakan province in central Thailand. The district has the highest population of all districts of Thailand.

Samut Prakan (Thai: สมุทรปราการ, RTGS: Samut Prakan) officially the City of Samut Prakan (Thai: เทศบาลนครสมุทรปราการ, RTGS: Thetsaban Nakhon Samut Prakan) is the capital of Samut Prakan province in Thailand. It is located 25 kilometres (16 mi) south from Bangkok. The city established in 1999.

A radiation accident occurred in Samut Prakan Province, Thailand in January–February 2000. The accident happened when an insecurely stored unlicensed cobalt-60 radiation source was recovered by scrap metal collectors who, together with a scrapyard worker, subsequently dismantled the container, unknowingly exposing themselves and others nearby to ionizing radiation. Over the following weeks, those exposed developed symptoms of radiation sickness and eventually sought medical attention. The Office of Atomic Energy for Peace (OAEP), Thailand's nuclear regulatory agency, was notified when doctors came to suspect radiation injury, some 17 days after the initial exposure. The OAEP sent an emergency response team to locate and contain the radiation source, which was estimated to have an activity of 15.7 terabecquerels (420 Ci), and was eventually traced to its owner. Investigations found failure to ensure secure storage of the radiation source to be the root cause of the accident, which resulted in ten people being hospitalized for radiation injury, three of whom died, as well as the potentially significant exposure of 1,872 people.

Samut Prakan province, (Thai: จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ, pronounced [sāmùt prāːkāːn] (listen)) Samut Prakan, or Samutprakan is one of the central provinces (changwat) of Thailand, established by the Act Establishing Changwat Samut Prakan, Changwat Nonthaburi, Changwat Samut Sakhon, and Changwat Nakhon Nayok, Buddhist Era 2489 (1946), which came into force 9 May 1946.It is a part of Jhunie Merlat Bangkok Metropolitan Region. Neighbouring provinces are Bangkok, to the north and west, and Chachoengsao to the east. Samut Prakan was previously once home to a Dutch trading post who referred to the area as New Amsterdam.Suvarnabhumi Airport is in Bang Phli district of Samut Prakan province as well as the districts of Bang Kapi, Lat Krabang, and Prawet in neighbouring Bangkok city.
