KDRT-LP (95.7 FM) is a low powered radio station licensed to Davis, California, United States. The station is currently owned by Davis Community Television DBA Davis Media Access, who operate the public-access television DCTV for the City of Davis and the educational-access television channel DJUSD TV for the Davis Joint Unified School District.

The Yolo Causeway is a 3.2-mile (5.1 km) long elevated highway viaduct on Interstate 80 that crosses the Yolo Bypass floodplain, connecting the cities of West Sacramento, California and Davis, California. It is officially named the Blecher-Freeman Memorial Causeway after two California Highway Patrol officers who were killed in the line of duty just east of the causeway.

KDVS (90.3 FM) is an American student and community radio station based in Davis, California. Featuring a freeform programming format, the station is owned by Regents of the University of California. Broadcasting at 13,000 watts, it is one of the most powerful freeform university-based radio stations in the United States. With a good enough car radio the station can be heard as far east as Lake Tahoe. A free newsletter entitled KDViationS, written and composed by the volunteer staff of the radio station, is published quarterly. The station also produces This Week in Science, which is broadcast live on the station but is known mostly in podcast form. KDVS is also the home of the public affairs programs Radio Parallax and Dr. Andy's Poetry and Technology Hour.

Oliver Wendell Holmes Junior High School (HJHS) has been in the core of Davis, California at 1220 Drexel Drive since fall 1966. In the 2015–2016 school year, it had 731 students, grades 7–9. The mascot of the school is the Patriot. Classes not taught on campus are usually taken at Davis Senior High School. The school is one of the three Junior High Schools in Davis, California, the others being Frances Ellen Watkins Harper Junior High in East/South Davis, and Ralph Waldo Emerson Junior High in West Davis.

Tremont Township was a historical subdivision of Solano County, California. It comprised the portions of Solano County opposite Putah Creek from Davisville (now Davis), in the northeastern part of the county. Tremont Township was defined by the Solano County Board of Supervisors on August 11, 1855, and appears on an 1890 map of Solano County. Civil townships are no longer legally recognized in California, and the Tremont name is no longer widely used; however, a Tremont Road and Tremont Cemetery remain in the historical township.

The Dresbach–Hunt–Boyer House is a historic house located at 604 2nd Street in Davis, California. Built in the early 1870s, the house is the only extant example of a Stick style Italianate house in Davis. The house's design features wood siding, a cornice with decorative brackets, a front porch topped by a balustrade, and a three-sided bay on the right side of the front facade. William Dresbach, the home's first owner, was a wealthy local merchant who served as Davis' first postmaster. Dresbach lost the house to bankruptcy in 1879, and the house passed through two owners before Frank Hunt purchased it in 1899. Hunt's brother John moved into the home in 1902; after 1920, his daughter Mary Boyer owned the home until her death in 1973.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 13, 1976.

Davis Community Church is a Presbyterian Church (USA) congregation located in one of the oldest standing structures in Davis, California. Referred to locally as DCC, the church is a historical landmark centrally located in downtown Davis, three blocks east of the University of California, Davis. Davis Community Church is a member of the Covenant Network of Presbyterians, a broad-based, national group of clergy and lay leaders. DCC is also a member of the Sojourners Faith & Justice Network.

The Vic Fazio Yolo Wildlife Area is a 3,700 acres (15 km2) wetland restoration project conducted by the United States Army Corps of Engineers and Ducks Unlimited within the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area located in the Yolo Bypass in Yolo County, California, between the cities of Sacramento and Davis. The Yolo Causeway, part of Interstate 80, runs through it. The restoration was named for Congressman Vic Fazio, who lobbied for the project and was instrumental in appropriating funds for the initial construction. The Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area was dedicated in 1997 by President Bill Clinton. The facility is managed by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife while the educational programs and public tours are administered by the Yolo Basin Foundation, which works to educate and inform the public. In 2001, the Wildlife Area expanded to over 16,000 acres (65 km2) through the acquisition of the Glide and Los Rios properties. Since this time, extensive wetland enhancement and restoration projects have proceeded rapidly. The Department of Fish and Wildlife has incorporated agriculture into the management of the property to generate operating income and to provide wildlife habitat. The floodplain that makes up the Yolo Bypass receives water from the Sacramento River and provides an Important Bird Area of the Pacific Flyway for an impressive variety of waterfowl. Unless the area is impassable due to normal seasonal flooding, a dirt and gravel road is open to the public for driving and walking tours, and a docent-led tour is given once per month. It is one of the sites recommended by California's Department of Fish and Wildlife for wildlife viewing.
