Annett State Forest

Cathedral of the Pines is an open-air complex in Rindge, New Hampshire, that was built as a memorial to the American war dead. It incorporates a multi-denominational sanctuary, other sacred spaces, and a number of burial grounds. The Cathedral, which commands a scenic view of forested land and Mount Monadnock, is run as a nonprofit corporation.

The lake, along with Pool Pond, forms the headwaters of the Contoocook River, which flows north to the Merrimack River in Penacook, New Hampshire. The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery, with observed species including largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, white perch, yellow perch, black crappie, bluegill, pumpkinseed, chain pickerel, and horned pout.

Hampshire Country School (HCS) is a private boarding school for gifted children in Rindge, New Hampshire, United States, founded by Henry Curtis Patey and Adelaide Walker Patey in 1948. Formerly a co-educational school, it is now a boarding school for boys between 8 and 17 years who have difficulty in other settings. The majority of the students are enrolled in grades 6 through 9.

The Gridley River is a 6.3-mile-long (10.1 km) river in southern New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Contoocook River, part of the Merrimack River watershed. Most of the river's length is within the town of Sharon. The Gridley River begins in the northwestern corner of New Ipswich, New Hampshire, on the western slopes of Kidder Mountain in the Wapack Range. The small stream flows west into Tophet Swamp, where it picks up a tributary from the northeast. The river soon enters the town of Sharon and heads north through wetlands and intervening steep patches, reaching the Contoocook River just within the southwestern corner of Peterborough.

Barrett Mountain is a mountain located in south-central New Hampshire within the Wapack Range of mountains. It lies within the town of New Ipswich and is traversed by the 22-mile (35 km) Wapack Trail. Kidder Mountain is located directly to the north along the Wapack ridgeline; New Ipswich Mountain to the south. The summit of the mountain is mostly wooded. A cross-country ski area occupies the north side of Barrett Mountain. The east side of the mountain drains into the Souhegan River watershed, to the Merrimack River thence the Atlantic Ocean; the northwest side drains into the Gridley River, to the Contoocook River thence into the Merrimack River; the southwest side drains into the Millers River watershed, to the Connecticut River, thence into Long Island Sound.

Rindge is a town in Cheshire County, New Hampshire, United States. The population was 6,476 at the 2020 census, up from 6,014 at the 2010 census. Rindge is home to Franklin Pierce University, the Cathedral of the Pines and part of Annett State Forest.

The Second Rindge Meetinghouse, Horsesheds and Cemetery is a historic meeting house and cemetery on Old US 202 (Main Street) and Rindge Common in Rindge, New Hampshire. Built in 1796, it is relatively distinctive in New England as one of few such meeting houses where both civic and religious functions are still accommodated, housing both the town offices and a church congregation. The town's first cemetery, established in 1764, lies to the north of the meetinghouse. It is the resting place of many of Rindge's early settlers, and of its American Revolutionary War veterans. Behind the meetinghouse stand a row of horse sheds, the only one of the two rows of them which originally served the meetinghouse. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Brick Schoolhouse is a historic one-room schoolhouse at 432 New Hampshire Route 123 in Sharon, New Hampshire. Built in 1832, it is the only of the town's three such buildings to survive, and was the only one made of brick. It is also the only school building now standing in the town, since its students have been schooled in neighboring Peterborough since 1920. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002, and the New Hampshire State Register of Historic Places in 2001.

The Wapack Wilderness is a 1,400-acre (6 km2) tract of forest in the towns of Rindge and New Ipswich, New Hampshire. The land is owned by the Hampshire Country School, a small, private school for students who do not thrive in traditional settings. It abuts Binney Pond Natural Area and land conserved by the New England Forestry Foundation. Watatic Mountain Wildlife Area is two miles (3 km) to the southeast, and Annett State Forest is two miles (3 km) to the northeast. The headwaters of the Millers River flow from the area, feeding into Converse Meadows and Lake Monomonac before entering Massachusetts.The wilderness contains more than a mile of the historic Wapack Trail and features wetlands, rare natural communities, rocky ridges, and old-growth forest. The area is rich with wildlife, including moose, bobcat, fisher, mink, weasel, beaver, otter, white-tailed deer, coyote, red fox, ducks, warblers, and salamanders.
