Rindge, New Hampshire

The Second Rindge Meetinghouse, Horsesheds and Cemetery is a historic meeting house and cemetery on Old US 202 (Main Street) and Rindge Common in Rindge, New Hampshire. Built in 1796, it is relatively distinctive in New England as one of few such meeting houses where both civic and religious functions are still accommodated, housing both the town offices and a church congregation. The town's first cemetery, established in 1764, lies to the north of the meetinghouse. It is the resting place of many of Rindge's early settlers, and of its American Revolutionary War veterans. Behind the meetinghouse stand a row of horse sheds, the only one of the two rows of them which originally served the meetinghouse. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Cathedral of the Pines is an open-air complex in Rindge, New Hampshire, that was built as a memorial to the American war dead. It incorporates a multi-denominational sanctuary, other sacred spaces, and a number of burial grounds. The Cathedral, which commands a scenic view of forested land and Mount Monadnock, is run as a nonprofit corporation.

Lake Monomonac is an artificial lake that straddles the border between Rindge, New Hampshire, and Winchendon, Massachusetts, in the United States. It was created from a small pond in New Hampshire by the construction of dams on the North Branch of the Millers River, a part of the Connecticut River watershed. Lake Monomonac is 594 acres (240 ha) in size, with 411 acres (166 ha) in New Hampshire and the remaining 183 acres (74 ha) in Massachusetts. The lake has a maximum recorded depth of 22 feet (6.7 m) and an average depth of 10 feet (3.0 m).The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery, with observed species including smallmouth and largemouth bass, black crappie, chain pickerel, white perch, pumpkinseed, bluegill, horned pout, and green sunfish.

The Meeting School (TMS) was a co-ed boarding school for grades 9-12 based on the practices and principles of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). It was located in Rindge, New Hampshire, United States, on a working organic farm with 142 acres (0.57 km2) of field and forest. It closed in 2011. The mission of TMS was to prepare students with life skills as well as academic knowledge. In a given year, 30-35 students participated in small classes, community living, growing food, and caring for farm animals. Students were engaged, at a highly empowered level, in community decision making.

Contoocook Lake ( (listen)) is a 344-acre (1.4 km2) water body located in Cheshire County in southwestern New Hampshire, United States, in the towns of Jaffrey and Rindge. The lake, along with Pool Pond, forms the headwaters of the Contoocook River, which flows north to the Merrimack River in Penacook, New Hampshire. The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery, with observed species including largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, white perch, yellow perch, black crappie, bluegill, pumpkinseed, chain pickerel, and horned pout.

Blueberry Island is an inhabited island in Worcester County, Massachusetts. It is surrounded by Lake Monomonac, an artificial lake that straddles the border between Rindge, New Hampshire, and Winchendon, Massachusetts.

Pearly Lake or Pearly Pond is a 192-acre (0.8 km2) water body in the town of Rindge, Cheshire County, southwestern New Hampshire, United States. Formerly known as Tarbell Pond, named for Revolutionary War Minuteman Lieut. Samuel Tarbell (1744-1828) who settled here, the lake is one of the headwaters of Tarbell Brook, a tributary of the Millers River, which flows southwest to the Connecticut River at Millers Falls, Massachusetts.The undergraduate campus of Franklin Pierce University is located on the northeast shore of the lake. The lake is classified as a warmwater fishery, with observed species including largemouth bass, chain pickerel, yellow perch, bluegill, horned pout, American eel, and green sunfish.

WFPC-LP (105.3 FM) is a radio station licensed by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to Franklin Pierce University. The station makes its home inside the Marlin Fitzwater Center for Communication in Rindge, New Hampshire. This is a low power radio station run by students. WFPC-LP is a member of the Pierce Media Group.

Annett State Forest is a 1,494-acre (6.05 km2) state forest of New Hampshire located in the town of Rindge in Cheshire County and extending north into Sharon in Hillsborough County. It includes Annett Wayside Park and Hubbard Pond, which offers canoe access.Annett Wayside Park at 538 Cathedral Road features picnic facilities and a 1⁄4-mile (0.40 km) hiking trail to Black Reservoir.

Franklin Pierce University is a private university in Rindge, New Hampshire. It was founded as Franklin Pierce College in 1962, combining a liberal arts foundation with coursework for professional preparation. The school gained university status in 2007 and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). It has an enrollment of 1,400 students and overlooks Pearly Pond, a few miles from Mount Monadnock. The campus covers approximately 1,200 acres (4.9 km2). Kim Mooney has been president of Franklin Pierce University since 2016. The school also operates the College of Graduate and Professional Studies with campuses in Manchester, New Hampshire and Lebanon, New Hampshire, and Goodyear, Arizona. The college at Rindge houses three institutes: the Marlin Fitzwater Center for Communication; the Monadnock Institute of Nature, Place, and Culture; and the New England Center for Civic Life.
