Kettering is a constituency in Northamptonshire represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 2005 by Philip Hollobone, a Conservative.

Kettering was a rural district in Northamptonshire in England from 1894 to 1974. It was formed under the Local Government Act 1972 based on Kettering rural sanitary district. It was named after but did not include Kettering itself. Burton Latimer became a separate urban district in 1923. In 1935 it was expanded greatly under the County Review Order, taking in part of Oxendon Rural District, the parishes of Gretton and Rockingham from Gretton Rural District, and the parish of Mawsley from Brixworth Rural District. In 1974 it was abolished under the Local Government Act 1972, with the bulk going to form part of the new Kettering district and the rest going to Corby.

Rushton is a village and civil parish in Northamptonshire. It is about 2 miles (3.2 km) north-east of Rothwell and 3 miles (4.8 km) north-west of Kettering. The parish covers 3,200 acres (1,300 ha) and is situated on both sides of the River Ise. It contains the sites of three deserted settlements, details of which are set out below. The village's name means 'farm/settlement which is rushy'.At the time of the 2001 census, the parish's population was 452 people, increasing slightly to 461 at the 2011 Census. The village has a primary school a pub opposite the village cricket pitch, a health retreat, bed and breakfast and hotel. There is a bus service that runs through the village linking Rushton to neighbouring towns. It goes hourly and the bus stop is opposite the pub, the Thornhill arms.

River Ise and Meadows is a 13.5-hectare (33-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest along the River Ise in Northamptonshire between Geddington and the Kettering to Corby railway line east of Rushton.The river is described by Natural England as "the best example in the county of a lowland river on clay, fed by base-rich water". The banks have tall fen, woodland and grassland, and there is also a species rich flood meadow. The river has many bends and loops, with silty pools and gravel shoals. The invertebrates are diverse, and there is a population of the nationally declining freshwater crayfish Austropotamobius pallipes.The eastern section runs through private land, but the western end, between Barford Bridge and the railway line, is part of the Barford Wood and Meadows nature reserve, managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.

Glendon is a deserted village in the English county of Northamptonshire. Its location was on land to the east of Glendon Hall, now within the parish of Rushton. Neighbouring towns include Rothwell, Kettering, Rushton and Desborough.

Glendon and Rushton railway station is a Grade II listed former railway station in Rushton, Northamptonshire.

Rockingham Road was a football stadium in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England. It was home to Kettering Town F.C. from 1897 until 2011. At the time of its closure, the ground had a capacity of 6,264, of which 1,800 was seated. In September 2017, the land was sold by the owner, Ben Pickering Limited. The site was first identified as a potential site for housing in 2005 by the local authority, and press reports indicated that the new owner was likely to use the land for a housing development.During November 2017, the entire stadium and associated structures were demolished and the site cleared for redevelopment.

It is partly funded through membership, which includes 1,600 companies in over 70 countries. SATRA is also a Notified Body for EU Directives on personal protective equipment, toys and construction products.SATRA’s activities include research, material and product evaluation, consumer product and personal protective equipment testing, management systems and consultancy, international quality systems, quality assurance, publications, information services, and the production and sale of test equipment. Its facilities include testing capability for fall arrest harnesses, fireproof suits, safety eyewear, chain saw protection, and horse riding protective equipment. It also undertakes footwear durability testing, footwear fitting, chemistry laboratory testing and furniture durability testing.

Connect FM was a commercial radio station in the United Kingdom broadcasting to Northamptonshire and Peterborough and the home counties. It was owned by Adventure Radio and based in Kettering. On 7 February 2019, the station was purchased by Communicorp UK and is set to merge with the group’s existing East Midlands license, and be rebranded as Smooth East Midlands. The station played 'hit music' which is songs from the 1980s to the present day, with a selection of presenters. Connect FM closed and its FM frequencies were merged with Smooth East Midlands on 1 October 2019, whilst its DAB transmissions were rebranded as Radio Up.

Great Oakley Meadow is a 1.9 hectare Local Nature Reserve in Great Oakley, on the southern outskirts of Corby in Northamptonshire. It is managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.The prominent medieval ridge and furrow at the southern end of the site displays the ancient field system of Great Oakley. The dry ridges have diverse flora including cowslip, knapweed and quaking-grass. The furrows are poorer in species, while the northern end, which borders Harpers Brook, has plants characteristic of wet ground, such as cuckooflower and hairy sedge. The field is bordered by hedges, which provide seeds and insects for birds.There is access from Headway, opposite Frith Close.

Kettering General Hospital is an NHS hospital in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England. It is managed by the Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Rushton Hall in Rushton, Northamptonshire, England, was the ancestral home of the Tresham family from 1438, when William Tresham, a veteran of the Battle of Agincourt and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster bought the estate. In the 20th century the house became a private school and it has now been converted to a luxury hotel. The estate is about 227 acres (92 ha) of which 30 acres (12 ha) are formal gardens. The River Ise flows from west to east south of the Hall.
