North Columbia Fire Station No. 7 is a historic fire station located at Columbia, South Carolina. It was built in 1948, and is a two-story, brick, transitional Art Moderne / International style building. It features metal window frames, flat roof, and corner ribbon windows.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

The district encompasses 177 contributing buildings in a planned suburban residential development. Wardlaw Junior High School, also known as Wardlaw Middle School, is a historic Middle school located at Columbia, South Carolina. It was built in 1926–1927, and is a three-story, rectangular brick structure with a central courtyard. It features Gothic window tracery, arched entrances with one-story porches, and decorative cast stone panels. It was the first junior high school building in South Carolina.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

South Carolina Memorial Garden is a historic memorial garden located at Columbia, South Carolina. It was established in 1944-1945 by the Garden Club of South Carolina. It was designed by noted landscape architect Loutrel W. Briggs (1893-1977). It includes a variety of ornamental plants and complementary design elements such as a gate house or tea room (1957), tool house or gardener's shed (1949-1951), walls (1948), gates (1948), walks, fountain terrace and fountain (1951-1952), sculpture (1952, 1954), and garden furniture. It was the first memorial garden sponsored by a state garden club in the United States that recognized veterans of World War II.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

The Columbia Canal is the surviving canal of a series of canals built by the State of South Carolina in 1824 using the labor of indentured Irishmen to provide direct water routes between the upstate settlements and the towns on the Fall Line. It is on the Congaree and Broad rivers in Columbia, South Carolina. It is the focal point of the Riverfront Park in Columbia. Caldwell–Hampton–Boylston House is a historic home located at Columbia, South Carolina. It was built between 1820 and 1830, and is a three-story, five bay, clapboard clad frame dwelling in the Greek Revival style. It features a two-story, projecting front porch. Also on the property is contributing ironwork and brick fencing (c. 1855), and a stable/carriage house, garden gazebo, and tea house. In 1874–1876, it was the residence of South Carolina Reconstruction governor Daniel H. Chamberlain, who purchased the house in 1869.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. It is located in Columbia Historic District I.

Lace House, also known as the Robertson House, is a historic home located at Columbia, South Carolina. It was built in 1854, and is a two-story, five bay, frame dwelling on an English basement. It features a two-story, projecting front porch with ornate cast iron porch supports, and lace-like railings and trim.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1969. It is located in Columbia Historic District I. The house is currently used as a wedding venue.

Randolph Cemetery is a historic cemetery for African-Americans in Columbia, South Carolina. It was established in 1872 and expanded in 1899. It was named for Benjamin F. Randolph (1820–1868), who was reburied at the cemetery in 1871. Randolph was a militia leader protecting African Americans when he was assassinated. A memorial in his honor and for other African-American leaders killed was erected. Gravemarkers include both manufactured and vernacular homemade varieties. The cemetery holds eight Reconstruction Era state legislators. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

The Modjeska Monteith Simkins House is a historic place of the civil rights movement. The house, which was owned by Modjeska Monteith Simkins, is located at 2025 Marion Street in Columbia, South Carolina. On March 25, 1994, it was named to the National Register of Historic Places.
