The Varreler Bäke (in its upper course: Klosterbach) is a stream of Lower Saxony and Bremen, Germany. As Klosterbach it flows south of Bremen on Lower Saxon territory through the villages of Bassum, Kirchseelte and Heiligenrode (a district of Stuhr). From Tölkenbrück (Varrel, a district of Stuhr), the Klosterbach is given the name Varreler Bäke. This then flows for a short distance through the district of Diepholz (Lower Saxony). It then continues through the city-state of Bremen through Huchting and discharges into the Ochtum near the village of Strom. The Varreler Bäke proper has a length of about 6 km (3.7 mi); together with the Klosterbach it is 41 km (25 mi) long. It is part of the Weser basin. In Varrel there is still a water mill, witness to the fact that the water power of streams was once used to generate power in order to run corn mills.

Aktien-Gesellschaft „Weser" (abbreviated A.G. „Weser”) was one of the major German shipbuilding companies, located at the Weser River in Bremen. Founded in 1872 it was finally closed in 1983. All together, A.G. „Weser" built about 1,400 ships of different types, including many warships. A.G. „Weser" was the leading company in the Deutsche Schiff- und Maschinenbau AG, a cooperation of eight German shipbuilding companies between 1926 and 1945.

Dünsener Bach (in its lower course: Pultern) is a river of Lower Saxony, Germany. It flows into the Varreler Bäke east of Delmenhorst.

The University of the Arts Bremen (German: Hochschule für Künste Bremen, HfK Bremen) is a public university in Bremen, Germany. It is one of the most successful arts institutions, and its origins date back to 1873. The University of the Arts Bremen runs a Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, and a Faculty of Music, with approximately 900 students, 65 professors and about 180 assistant professors. The academic subdivisions within the University are Music, Art, Design and practical theory. The institution's specialisms in both music and visual arts is unique within Germany, save for the Berlin University of the Arts. Recent works and exhibitions combine visual art, digital media and music, with emphasis on co-operation between disciplines.

Delme is a river of Lower Saxony, Germany. It flows into the Ochtum northeast of Delmenhorst.

Die Küste (English: The Coast) was the former entertainment district at the Port of Bremen in Bremen, Germany. Die Küste evolved at the exit of the free port (Überseestadt) on the Nordstraße. It was linked to the Walle district by a foot tunnel, the Stinkbüdelmannsgang. The area was also known as the Küstenmeile (Coast mile) and Klein-St. Pauli, drawing similarities to the Hamburg red-light district of St. Pauli. Today there are still a few bars still in existence dating from the days of Die Küste.

ArcelorMittal Bremen is a steelworks on the banks of the River Weser in Bremen, Germany. An ironworks was established on the site in 1911 as Norddeutsche Hütte - much of the works was destroyed or dismantled during and immediately after the end of the Second World War. In 1957 steel group Klöckner established a new steel works on the same site, Klöckner Hütte Bremen. After growth during the 1960s and 1970s the business began to experience financial problems, and in the early 1990s Klöckner became effectively bankrupt. In 1994 the steelworks at Bremen was acquired by Sidmar, renamed Stahlwerke Bremen; it later became part of Usinor, Arcelor (2002), and ArcelorMittal (2006) through mergers of the parent holding company.

Bremen-Oslebshausen is a railway station located on the Vegesack-Bremen and Bremen-Bremerhaven railway lines. Only services on the Vegesack-Bremen line call at the station; services to and from Bremerhaven pass through without stopping.

Lufthansa Flight 005 was a scheduled flight en route from Frankfurt to Hamburg with a stopover in Bremen. The aircraft crashed just beyond the runway in Bremen just before 19:00 on 28 January 1966, in a go-around after an aborted landing. All occupants — 42 passengers and 4 crew members — died in the accident.

Bremen Neustadt (German: Bahnhof Bremen Neustadt) is a railway station located in Bremen, Germany. The station is located on the Oldenburg–Bremen railway. The train services are operated by NordWestBahn. The station has been part of the Bremen S-Bahn since December 2010.

The Weser Tower is a multistorey building in Bremen, designed by the American architect of German origin Helmut Jahn. The laying of the foundation was on 23 October 2007. The Tower of 82 metres height is the tallest office building of Bremen and was completed in 2010. The 22 floors of the building have a surface of 18,000 square metres and thus place for 800 jobs. Among this large-scale project rank also a new hotel, a Varieté theatre, restaurants and further office buildings. Principal tenant are subsidiary companies of the power supplier EWE AG, which takes over all together 13 floors of the building.

The Consular Agency of the United States in Bremen, also referred to as Consular Agency Bremen, was one of the American diplomatic missions to Germany until 2018. The unit offered limited services for U.S. citizens in areas including Bremen, Hamburg, Schleswig-Holstein, and Lower Saxony. Despite that, services such as the issuing of visas or emergency passports were not provided, but can be obtained only from the U.S. Embassy in Berlin, the Consulate General in Frankfurt or Munich.
