Coventry is the primary village and a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Coventry, Orleans County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 111, out of 1,100 in the entire town of Coventry. The CDP is in north-central Orleans County, along the southern edge of the town of Coventry. It is bordered to the south by the town of Irasburg. U.S. Route 5 runs along the eastern edge of the community, leading north 6 miles (10 km) to Newport and southeast the same distance to Orleans. Vermont Route 14 follows US 5 along the eastern edge of Coventry, but leads north 7 miles (11 km) to Newport Center and south 6 miles (10 km) to Irasburg. The Black River flows northward along the western edge of the village; it continues north to enter Lake Memphremagog at Newport.

As there are a total of 150 representatives, there were 4,059 residents per representative (or 8,118 residents per two representatives). The two member Orleans-2 District had a population of 8,607 in that same census, 6.02% below the state average.

Irasburg is a town in Orleans County, Vermont, United States. Irasburg was established in 1781 when the land was granted to Ira Allen, Roger Enos, Jerusha Enos (wife of Roger Enos), Jerusha Enos, Jr. (wife of Ira Allen), Roger Enos, Jr. and others by the Vermont General Assembly. Ira Allen later obtained the rights of the other proprietors, and he deeded the town to Jerusha Enos, Jr. as a wedding gift.The 2020 United States Census reported that there were 1,233 citizens living in Irasburg. Irasburg has a total land area of 40.6 square miles (105 km2), 40.5 square miles (105 km2) being land and .1 square miles (0.26 km2) being water. The unincorporated village of Irasburg is in the center of the town. On average, it snows 9 out of the 12 months of the year.

Vermont Route 14 passes through the village, leading north 5 miles (8 km) to Coventry and southwest 7 miles (11 km) to Albany. Vermont Route 58 joins Route 14 in the village center but leads east 4 miles (6 km) to Orleans and west 9 miles (14 km) to Lowell. Newport, the county seat, is 11 miles (18 km) to the northeast of Irasburg.

Irasburg Town Hall is the center of the town government of Irasburg, Vermont. Built in 1911, it is located facing Irasburg Square on the site of original county courthouse of Orleans County, of which Irasburg was the shire town of until 1884. The town hall is a prominent local civic and social venue, its auditorium featuring fine painted backdrops. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

68 Highland Avenue is a historic apartment building in the city of Newport, Vermont. Built about 1919, it is a well-preserved example of typical Vermont multi-unit housing of the period, retaining a number of distinctive Colonial Revival features, including pressed-metal siding. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.
