The Instituto Português do Mar e da Atmosfera (Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere) or IPMA is the national meteorological, seismic, sea and atmospheric organization of Portugal.

Humberto Delgado Airport (IATA: LIS, ICAO: LPPT), also known simply as Lisbon Airport or Portela Airport, is an international airport located 7 km (4.3 mi) northeast from the city centre of Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. The airport is the main international gateway to Portugal. It is the 20th-largest airport in Europe in terms of passenger volume, having served 31,173,000 passengers in 2019, an increase over the previous year of 7.4%. As of 2019 the airport handled 141 thousand tonnes of cargo. It is an important European hub to Brazil, the largest European Star Alliance hub to South America and also a European hub to Africa.The airport is the main hub of Portugal's flag carrier TAP Air Portugal including its subsidiary TAP Express in addition to being a hub for low-cost airlines Ryanair and easyJet. It is a focus city for Azores Airlines, euroAtlantic Airways, Hi Fly and White Airways. The airport is run by ANA Aeroportos de Portugal, which was concessioned to the French group Vinci Airports in February 2013.In January 2019, Portugal's government unveiled a 1.1-billion-euro plan to expand Lisbon's current airport and build a second one in Montijo. It aimed to handle around 50 million passengers a year from 2022. The project is suspended by environmental concerns.

Olivais (Portuguese pronunciation: [oliˈvajʃ]) is a freguesia (civil parish) and district of Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Located in eastern Lisbon, Olivais is west of Parque das Nações, north of Marvila and Alvalade, and east of Lumiar and Santa Clara. The population in 2011 was 33,788.

Antena 1 is one of the three national radio channels produced by the Portuguese public broadcasting entity Rádio e Televisão de Portugal, the others being Antena 2 and Antena 3. Antena 1 has a generalist programming policy focusing mainly on news, current affairs and sport, as well as the discussion of contemporary social issues. Musically, Antena 1 is a Hot AC station with a strong emphasis on Portuguese popular music. The Macanese radio and television company Teledifusão de Macau relays Antena 1's programmes overnight between 20.00 and 7.00 (8.00 on Saturdays and Sundays) Beijing Time (UTC+8). In December 2019, it had a weekly reach share of 10.9%.

Antena 3 is one of the three national radio channels produced by the Portuguese public broadcasting entity Rádio e Televisão de Portugal, the others being Antena 1 and Antena 2. The channel specializes in contemporary and alternative music, focusing on showcasing new artists, and features live concerts, news and chart countdown programmes.

Antena 2 is one of the three national radio channels produced by the Portuguese public broadcasting entity Rádio e Televisão de Portugal, the others being Antena 1 and Antena 3. The channel specializes in the broadcasting of classical and world music as well as other programmes of a cultural nature. In December 2019, it had a weekly reach share of 1.4%.

Encarnação is a station on the Red Line of the Lisbon Metro. The station is located under Rua General Silva Freire in the parish of Encarnação, a densely populated residential neighbourhood of northern Lisbon. The station, designed by the architect Alberto Barradas, opened on 17 July 2012 in conjunction with the Moscavide and Aeroporto stations, as part of the expansion of the line to serve Lisbon Portela Airport.

Rádio e Televisão de Portugal (RTP) is the public service broadcasting organisation of Portugal. It operates four national television channels and three national radio stations, as well as several satellite and cable offerings. The current company dates from 2007, with the merger of two previously separate companies Radiodifusão Portuguesa (RDP; the radio broadcaster) and Radiotelevisão Portuguesa (television broadcaster), although they had been grouped under a single holding company and common branding since 2004. RTP is funded by the taxa de contribuição audiovisual (broadcasting contribution tax), which is incorporated in electricity bills, and television advertising revenues.

Alta de Lisboa (in English, uptown Lisbon) is a Portuguese community on the northern edge of Lisbon. The community covers an area of roughly 3 square kilometres (740 acres).

The Army Geospatial Information Center (Portuguese: Centro de Informação Geoespacial do Exército; CIGeoE) is the military geographical, cartographical and geospatial intelligence agency of the Portuguese Army. The main mission of the CIGeoE is to provide the Army and the other branches of the Armed Forces of Portugal, as well as the civil community, with geographic information, ensuring the implementation of activities related to the geographical science, cartographic technique and the promotion and development of scientific and technological research actions in the field of geographical support and geomatics. This mission includes the geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) and imagery intelligence (IMINT) activities in support of the Armed Forces. Besides its main mission, CIGeoE is in charge of contributing to the operational forces of the Portuguese Army with its Geospatial Support Unit (UnApGeo).

The Monument to the First Aerial Crossing of the South Atlantic is a monument in Lisbon, Portugal, within the civil parish of Alvalade, at the intersection of Igreja and Rio de Janeiro Avenues. It consists of a stainless steel sculpture of wings and sextant placed on a concrete pedestal, and commemorates the first aerial crossing of the South Atlantic, done by naval aviators Gago Coutinho and Sacadura Cabral in 1922. It was designed by Laranjeira Santos and architect Rodrigues Fernandes, and unveiled on 17 June 1972. Originally, it was near the Belém Tower, and relocated to its current location in 2001.
