Humberto Delgado Airport (IATA: LIS, ICAO: LPPT), also known simply as Lisbon Airport or Portela Airport, is an international airport located 7 km (4.3 mi) northeast from the city centre of Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. The airport is the main international gateway to Portugal. It is the 20th-largest airport in Europe in terms of passenger volume, having served 31,173,000 passengers in 2019, an increase over the previous year of 7.4%. As of 2019 the airport handled 141 thousand tonnes of cargo. It is an important European hub to Brazil, the largest European Star Alliance hub to South America and also a European hub to Africa.The airport is the main hub of Portugal's flag carrier TAP Air Portugal including its subsidiary TAP Express in addition to being a hub for low-cost airlines Ryanair and easyJet. It is a focus city for Azores Airlines, euroAtlantic Airways, Hi Fly and White Airways. The airport is run by ANA Aeroportos de Portugal, which was concessioned to the French group Vinci Airports in February 2013.In January 2019, Portugal's government unveiled a 1.1-billion-euro plan to expand Lisbon's current airport and build a second one in Montijo. It aimed to handle around 50 million passengers a year from 2022. The project is suspended by environmental concerns.

Santa Clara (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈsɐ̃tɐ ˈklaɾɐ]) is a freguesia (civil parish) and district of Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. Located in northern Lisbon, Santa Clara is north of Lumiar, west of Olivais, and directly south of Lisbon's border with Odivelas and Loures. The population in 2011 was 22,480.

Charneca or Charneca do Lumiar (English: Lumiar heathland), was a Portuguese parish (freguesia) in the municipality of Lisbon. It was created in 1585. Between 1852 and 1886 this parish was part of the former municipality of Olivais. With the 2012 Administrative Reform, the parish merged with the Ameixoeira parish into a new one named Santa Clara.

St. John de Britto College (Portuguese: Colégio de São João de Brito) is a private Catholic primary and secondary school, located in Lisbon, Lumiar, Portugal. The school was founded by the Society of Jesus in 1947 and its teachings are based on Ignatian pedagogy and spirituality. The school is chartered and has autonomy for an indefinite period.

Leigos para o Desenvolvimento (Lay Association for Development) is a Non-governmental organization (NGO) that assists people in their integral development. It was founded in 1986 under the auspices of the Society of Jesus(Jesuits) in Lisbon, Portugal, and grew from assisting people in former Portuguese colonies to a wider mission abroad and in Portugal.

The Fort of Ameixoeira, also known as the King Carlos I Fort, is located in the former parish of Ameixoeira, now part of the Santa Clara parish of Lisbon, capital of Portugal. It currently serves as the headquarters of the Serviço de Informações de Segurança (SIS), the Portuguese Security and Intelligence Service. It was constructed as part of the Campo Entrincheirado (Entrenched Field), a group of fortifications built at the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century to protect Lisbon against possible invasion.

Lumiar station is part of the Yellow Line of the Lisbon Metro, serving the Lumiar neighbourhood, close to Lisbon airport.

The Laboratório Nacional de Engenharia Civil, National Laboratory for Civil Engineering, (LNEC) is a public institution of scientific and technological research and development in Portugal. It is one of the largest civil engineering laboratories in the world. LNEC develops its action in the different fields of civil engineering, under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Economy, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science regarding the definition of its strategic guidelines, as stipulated by its Organic Law, Decree Law 157/2012, of July 18.

Ameixoeira (Portuguese pronunciation: [ɐmɐjʃuˈɐjɾɐ]) was a Portuguese parish, located in the municipality of Lisbon. It had a population of 9,644 inhabitants and a total area of 1.62 km². With the 2012 Administrative Reform, the parish merged with the Charneca parish into a new one named Santa Clara.

Hospital Pulido Valente is a hospital located in the civil parish of Lumiar, in the Portuguese municipality of Lisbon. The hospital is dedicated mainly to Pulmonary care medicine, being the biggest hospital of this speciality in Portugal.

Aeroporto is the terminal station on the Red Line of the Lisbon Metro. The station was built to serve Lisbon Airport. The station, designed by the architect Leopoldo de Almeida Rosa, opened on July 17, 2012 in conjunction with the Encarnação and Moscavide stations, as part of the expansion of the line to serve Lisbon Portela Airport.
