The Hôtel du Lac (English: Lake Hotel) is a hotel in Tunis. The building was designed in the Brutalist style by the Italian architect Raffaele Contigiani and built from 1970 to 1973 for the Tunisian government of Habib Bourguiba.

The Central Bank of Tunisia (Arabic: البنك المركزي التونسي, French: Banque Centrale de Tunisie, BCT) is the central bank of Tunisia. The bank is in Tunis and its current governor is Marouane Abassi, who replaced Chedly Ayari on 16 February 2018.

The Institut maghrébin des sciences économiques et technologiques (IMSET) is a private vocational school based in Tunis, Tunisia. Since 2017, it has been part of Honoris United Universities. IMSET has campus facilities in Tunis, Sousse, Gabès and Nabeul. It offers training in management, computer science, health, agriculture and technology.

Theâtre de l'Étoile du Nord (Arabic: مسرح نجمة الشمال) also known as the North Star Theatre, is a theatre in the centre of Tunis, Tunisia. It is located at 41 Avenue de Farhat-Hached, near Avenue Habib Bourguiba since 26 February 2000; the theatrical production company was established on 29 February 1996. The premises of the theatre covers over 700 m2 (7,500 sq ft), its great hall covering 400 m2 (4,300 sq ft). Located in a former warehouse, it hosts concerts of all kind of music, literary meetings in French or Arabic and the theatrical presentations of the company of the Étoile du Nord. Said to be "as boho as Tunis gets", the theatre is popular with students and artists who meet in the alcohol-free cafe and its library. The theatre hosts around 160 events per year, including western style reggae, heavy metal and jazz groups performing and stand-up comedy.

The Théâtre municipal de Tunis (engl. Municipal Theatre of Tunis) in Tunisia was first opened on November 20, 1902 and currently showcases opera, ballet, symphonic concerts and dramas featuring numerous Tunisian, Arab and international actors.

Carthage Film Festival (Journées cinématographiques de Carthage, or JCC) is an annual film festival that takes place in Tunis, founded in 1966. It is also known by its Arabic title, أيام قرطاج السينمائية ("Cinema Days of Carthage"). Initially biennial alternating with the Carthage Theatre Festival, the festival became an annual event in 2014. A directing committee chaired by the Tunisian Ministry of Culture, joined with professionals of the cinema industry, is in charge of the organization. The Carthage Film Festival has been designed as a film festival engaged in the cause of African and Arab countries and enhancing Global South cinema in general. The main prize awarded is the Tanit d'or ("Golden Tanit) named after the Carthaginian goddess Tanit. Opening and closing ceremonies are held in the Théâtre municipal de Tunis (Municipal Theater of Tunis). The festival's 35th edition took place from 14 October to 21 December 2024. The executive director for the 2025 edition is Tarek Ben Chaâbane.

The Siege of Tunis (1705) was a military engagement fought between the Regency of Algiers and the Beylik of Tunis, and was the final major engagement of the Tunisian–Algerian War (1705).

Tunis (Arabic: تونس Tūnis) is the capital and largest city of Tunisia. The greater metropolitan area of Tunis, often referred to as "Grand Tunis", has about 2,700,000 inhabitants. As of 2020, it is the third-largest city in the Maghreb region (after Casablanca and Algiers) and the eleventh-largest in the Arab world. Situated on a large Mediterranean Sea gulf (the Gulf of Tunis), behind the Lake of Tunis and the port of La Goulette (Ḥalq il-Wād), the city extends along the coastal plain and the hills that surround it. At its core lies Ancient Medina, a World Heritage Site. East of the Medina, through the Sea Gate (also known as the Bab el Bhar and the Porte de France), begins the modern city "Ville Nouvelle", traversed by the grand Avenue Habib Bourguiba (often referred to by media and travel guides as "the Tunisian Champs-Élysées"), where the colonial-era buildings provide a clear contrast to smaller, older structures. Further east by the sea lie the suburbs of Carthage, La Marsa, and Sidi Bou Said. As the capital of the country, Tunis is the focus of Tunisian political and administrative life and also the center of the country's commercial and cultural activities.

The siege of Tunis was a siege fought in 1694, between the Deylik of Algiers, and Muradid Tunis, during the Tunisian-Algerian War of 1694.

Tunis Marine is a railway station in Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, and forms the southern terminus of the standard gauge Tunis-Goulette-Marsa railway or "TGM", which was inaugurated in 1872. The line and station are managed by the Société des transports de Tunis (Transtu). The service depot for the line's trains is adjacent, to the north, reached by a level crossing over Avenue Habib Bourguiba (formerly called Avenue de la Marine). Tunis Metro (light rail) routes 1 and 4, also managed by Transtu, terminate nearby and provide services to the city centre, the main railway station, Tunis Gare Centrale, and beyond. Buses from the station serve destinations including Tunis–Carthage International Airport and the Bardo National Museum.The next station on the TGM line is Le Bac.

Lycée Carnot de Tunis (French: Lycée Carnot de Tunis; Arabic: معهد كارنو) or Lycée pilote Bourguiba de Tunis (French: Lycée pilote Bourguiba de Tunis; Arabic: معهد بورقيبة النموذجي بتونس) formerly known as Collège Saint-Charles (French: Collège Saint-Charles), It is a secondary school that opened on October 9, 1882 on Avenue Habib Thamer in Tunis.Since 1983, the building has housed a typical high school, an establishment of the educational system in Tunisia bearing the name of former President Habib Bourguiba, himself a former student of the establishment.
