Caledonia County is a county located in the northeastern part of the U.S. state of Vermont. As of the 2020 census, the population was 30,233. Its shire town (county seat) is the town of St. Johnsbury. The county was created in 1792 and organized in 1796. It was given the Latin name for Scotland, in honor of the many settlers who claimed ancestry there.

As of the 2020 census, the CDP had a population of 385, out of 2,335 in the entire town of Danville. The village is in west-central Caledonia County, south of the center of the town of Danville. U.S. Route 2 passes through the village, leading east 8 miles (13 km) to St. Johnsbury and southwest 27 miles (43 km) to Montpelier, the state capital. The village drains south to Brown Brook, a tributary of Joes Brook, and east to Water Andric. Joes Brook and Water Andric both flow southeast to the Passumpsic River, a south-flowing tributary of the Connecticut River.

From 1977 to 2023, the station operated as WWLR, the college radio station at Lyndon State College and its successor, Northern Vermont University—Lyndon.

The Wheelock Common Historic District encompasses the traditional town center of the small northeastern Vermont community of Wheelock. Located at the junction of Vermont Route 122 and Sutton Road, it includes the town common, town hall, and cemetery. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

The St. Johnsbury Federal Fish Culture Station, also known as the St. Johnsbury Federal Fish Hatchery, was a United States government-funded fish hatchery on Emerson Falls Road in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. The hatchery operated from 1895 to 1960, producing fish stock for headwater tributaries of the Connecticut River and St. Lawrence River in northern New England and New York. The surviving facilities of the hatchery, now adaptively reused for other purposes and in private ownership, were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Lyndon State College was a public liberal arts college in Lyndon, Vermont. In 2018, it merged with Johnson State College to create Northern Vermont University; the former campus of Lyndon State College is now the university's Lyndon campus. In July 2023, Castleton University, Northern Vermont University-Johnson, Northern Vermont University-Lyndon, and Vermont Technical College merged to become Vermont State University. It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

Lyndon is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Lyndon, Caledonia County, Vermont, United States, corresponding to the unincorporated village originally known as Lyndon Corner. The community was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census, at which it had a population of 203.The village is in northern Caledonia County, in the southern part of the town of Lyndon. It occupies the valley of the South Wheelock Branch, an east-flowing tributary of the Passumpsic River and part of the Connecticut River watershed. U.S. Route 5 (Memorial Drive) passes through the east side of the village, and Interstate 91 forms the CDP's eastern edge. The two highways intersect at I-91's Exit 23 at the northeast corner of the village. US-5 leads north across the Passumpsic River 1 mile (1.6 km) into Lyndonville, the largest village in the town of Lyndon, and south 7 miles (11 km) to St. Johnsbury, while I-91 leads north 35 miles (56 km) to Newport and south past St. Johnsbury 66 miles (106 km) to White River Junction.

The Old Schoolhouse Bridge is a historic covered bridge spanning the South Wheelock Branch of the Passumpsic River in Lyndon, Vermont. It is located just south of South Wheelock Road, which it formerly carried. Built in 1871, it is one five similar bridges in Lyndon. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

West Danville is an unincorporated village in the town of Danville, Caledonia County, Vermont, United States. The community is located at the intersection of U.S. Route 2 and Vermont Route 15 8.9 miles (14.3 km) west of St. Johnsbury. West Danville has a post office with ZIP code 05873.In July 2017, the Charles D. Brainerd Public Library reopened in West Danville, again making the village the location of Vermont's smallest library.

The Chamberlin (or Chamberlain) Mill Covered Bridge, also called Chamberlin Covered Bridge or Whitcomb Covered Bridge, is a historic covered bridge that carries Chamberlain Bridge Road across the South Wheelock Branch of the Passumpsic River in Lyndon, Vermont. Built in 1881, it is one of five similar area bridges. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.
