The Old Schoolhouse Bridge is a historic covered bridge spanning the South Wheelock Branch of the Passumpsic River in Lyndon, Vermont. It is located just south of South Wheelock Road, which it formerly carried. Built in 1871, it is one five similar bridges in Lyndon. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

The Chamberlin (or Chamberlain) Mill Covered Bridge, also called Chamberlin Covered Bridge or Whitcomb Covered Bridge, is a historic covered bridge that carries Chamberlain Bridge Road across the South Wheelock Branch of the Passumpsic River in Lyndon, Vermont. Built in 1881, it is one of five similar area bridges. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Riverside is a historic estate at 30 Lily Pond Road in Lyndon, Vermont. Built in 1866 for the owner of a local lumber mill, it is a well-preserved example of Italianate architecture, including significant elements on the main house and the surviving outbuildings. The estate, now home to a private elementary day school, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

Lyndonville is a village in the town of Lyndon, in Caledonia County, Vermont, United States. Lyndonville's population was 1,136 at the 2020 census. It is the closest community to the Lyndon campus of Northern Vermont University.

The Darling Inn is a historic former hotel building in the center of Lyndonville, Vermont. Built in 1927–28, it is a rare example in the state of an architecturally neo-Federal building, and one of the last major constructions during the state's Colonial Revival period. Now converted to a senior care facility, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Mathewson Block is a historic commercial building at 101 Main Street in the center of Lyndonville, Vermont. Built in 1869, it was the first brick commercial building erected in Lyndonville, which was founded in 1866. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Lyndon is a town in Caledonia County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 5,491. Lyndon is the home of Lyndon State College. The town contains five unincorporated villages, Lyndonville just east of the geographic center of town, Lyndon Corner in the south, Lyndon Center in the center of town on the west side of Lyndonville, Little Egypt in the north, and East Lyndon in the southeast. Lyndon is the second-most populous town in the Northeast Kingdom; only neighboring St. Johnsbury is larger. It is also the fastest growing town in Vermont with a population over 5,000, growing 9.8% in the decade preceding the 2010 census.

Lyndon Center is an unincorporated village and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Lyndon, Caledonia County, Vermont, United States. The community is located along the western border of Lyndonville. Lyndon Center has a post office with ZIP code 05850. The community was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

Lyndon State Forest covers 72 acres (0.29 km2) in Lyndon, Vermont in Caledonia County. The forest is managed by the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation for timber resources and wildlife habitat. Activities in the park include bird watching, hunting, snowshoeing, berry picking, and cross country skiing.

Lyndon Institute is a coeducational, nonprofit, independent, day and boarding comprehensive high school located on a 52 acres (21 ha) campus in the village of Lyndon Center, in the town of Lyndon, Vermont. It provides education for grades 9 through 12 for both local students and students resident on campus. Tuition is $45 000 for full boarders and $16,825 for day students. The current head of school is Dr. Brian Bloomfield.

Lyndon State College was a public liberal arts college in Lyndon, Vermont. In 2018, it merged with Johnson State College to create Northern Vermont University; the former campus of Lyndon State College is now the university's Lyndon campus. In July 2023, Castleton University, Northern Vermont University-Johnson, Northern Vermont University-Lyndon, and Vermont Technical College merged to become Vermont State University. It is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

The District 6 School House is a historic school building at 73 Cemetery Circle in Lyndon, Vermont. Built in 1857, it served as a school until 1900, and saw use in the 20th century as a garage, storage facility, and museum. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.
