High Street Historic District (Burlington, New Jersey)

Burlington Towne Centre station is a station on the River Line light rail system, located on West Broad Street in Burlington, Burlington County, New Jersey, United States within the Burlington Historic District. The tracks run in the middle of the street in a thin trench, so while it does run in the middle of the street, it is not considered "street running." Like many other River Line stations, the Towne Centre station is made up of a raised, accessible platform with ticket machines and a small passenger shelter. Of note, the station name uses the spelling "centre" rather than the more usual "center". The station opened on March 15, 2004. Southbound service from the station is available to Camden, New Jersey. Northbound service is available to the Trenton Rail Station with connections to New Jersey Transit trains to New York City, SEPTA trains to Philadelphia, and Amtrak trains. Transfer to the PATCO Speedline is available at the Walter Rand Transportation Center.

The City of Burlington Public School District is a comprehensive community public school district that serves students in pre-Kindergarten through twelfth grade in the City of Burlington, in Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. The district is one of 31 former Abbott districts statewide that were established pursuant to the decision by the New Jersey Supreme Court in Abbott v. Burke which are now referred to as "SDA Districts" based on the requirement for the state to cover all costs for school building and renovation projects in these districts under the supervision of the New Jersey Schools Development Authority. As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of four schools, had an enrollment of 1,740 students and 170.9 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.2:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "B", the second lowest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.The district's high school serves as a receiving school for students in grade nine through twelve from Edgewater Park Township, as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Edgewater Park School District.

St. Mary's Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal parish in Burlington, Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. The original church was built in 1703. It was supplemented with a new church on adjacent land in 1854. On May 31, 1972, the new church was added to the National Register of Historic Places and on June 24, 1986, it was declared a National Historic Landmark. It is within the Burlington Historic District.

Revell House, also known as the Hutchinson-Revell House, in Burlington, New Jersey, is the oldest building in Burlington County and one of the oldest residences in New Jersey. It was constructed in 1685 by George Hutchinson, a wealthy Quaker distiller, and sold to Thomas Revell who used it as offices from 1696 to 1699. Originally located at 8 East Pearl Street, the building was relocated to 213 Wood Street in 1966.According to tradition, Benjamin Franklin was sold gingerbread and given supper by a friendly Burlington woman on his way to Philadelphia. This led for the house to sometimes be referred as the Gingerbread House. It is a contributing property of the Burlington Historic District bounded by the Delaware River and High, West Broad, Talbot, and Reed Streets listed March 3, 1975.

Quaker School is a historic Quaker school at York and Penn Streets in Burlington, Burlington County, New Jersey, United States. It was built in 1792 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Burlington is a city situated on the banks of the Delaware River in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is a suburb of Philadelphia. As of the 2020 United States census, the city's population was 9,743, a decrease of 177 (−1.8%) from the 9,920 recorded at the 2010 census, which in turn reflected an increase of 184 (+1.9%) from the 9,736 counted in the 2000 census. The city, and all of Burlington County, is a part of the Philadelphia-Reading-Camden combined statistical area and the Delaware Valley.Burlington was first incorporated on October 24, 1693, and was reincorporated by Royal charter on May 7, 1733. After American independence, the city was incorporated by the State of New Jersey on December 21, 1784. On March 14, 1851, the city was reincorporated and enlarged with portions of the surrounding township.Burlington was originally the county seat of Burlington County. In 1796, in response to the growth of population to the east away from the Delaware River, the county seat was moved to Mount Holly Township, a more central location.

Doane Academy is a coeducational, independent day school for servig students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade, located in Burlington in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Originally called St. Mary's Hall, it was founded in May 1837 by Episcopal Bishop George Washington Doane, initially as an Episcopal girls' boarding school, the first in the United States to offer a classical academic education. In 1955 affiliation with the diocese was severed. In 1966 a boys' school, known as Doane Academy, was built on campus. The schools were merged in 1974 as St. Mary's Hall-Doane Academy. Later the name was shortened to the Doane Academy. The head of school is Erin Pike Mayo The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools until July 2029 and has been accredited since 1989, and is a member of the New Jersey Association of Independent Schools, the National Association of Independent Schools and the National Association of Episcopal Schools.

Burlington City High School is a six-year comprehensive public high school that serves students in seventh through twelfth grade in Burlington, in Burlington County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey, operating as the lone secondary school of the City of Burlington Public School District. Burlington City High School serves as the receiving school for students in grade nine through twelve from Edgewater Park, as part of a sending/receiving relationship with the Edgewater Park School District. The school is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools until July 2026; The school's accreditation status was extended for seven years in Fall 2018.Grades 7 and 8 are housed in a separate area of the building set-aside for them, and referred to as the "House", or Junior School. The House offers a curriculum designed for this age group, along with co-curricular activities appropriate for these students. Grades nine through twelve are accredited by the New Jersey Department of Education. As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 760 students and 71.3 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.7:1. There were 315 students (41.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 48 (6.3% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.

Jegou's Island or Chygoe's Island is a former island located at the junction of Assiscunk Creek and the Delaware River, on which the central portion of the city of Burlington, in Burlington County, New Jersey, is located. The Moat, a now partially filled distributary of Assiscunk Creek, formerly separated the island from the mainland.

Burlington South is a station on NJ Transit's River Line light rail system, located on West Broad Street in Burlington, Burlington County, New Jersey, United States, near the New Jersey side of the Burlington–Bristol Bridge. The station opened on March 15, 2004. Southbound service from the station is available to Camden, New Jersey. Northbound service is available to the Trenton Transit Center with connections to NJ Transit trains to New York City, SEPTA trains to Philadelphia, and Amtrak trains. Transfer to the PATCO Speedline is available at the Walter Rand Transportation Center. Park and ride service is available at this station, which is near the southeastern plaza of the Burlington–Bristol Bridge. The station contains a pair of non-functioning railroad signals and a sign on the evolution of grade crossing signs in front of a bicycle rack. A similar display can be found at Riverton further to the southwest.
