West River (Vermont)

Weston Priory is a community of Benedictine monks who reside in Weston, Vermont. Founded in 1953, The Priory is situated within the confines of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington, which encompasses the entirety of Vermont. They are particularly known for the songs they have contributed to Roman Catholic worship over the past 50 years, their connection to Latin America, and the crafts produced at the monastery.

The John Wilder House is a historic house on Lawrence Hill Road in the village center of Weston, Vermont. Built in 1827 for a prominent local politician, it is a distinctive example of transitional Federal-Greek Revival architecture in brick. Some of its interior walls are adorned with stencilwork attributed to Moses Eaton. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Weston Village Historic District encompasses the town center and principal village of Weston, Vermont. Centered on Farrar Park, which serves as the town green, it includes a diversity of architectural styles from the late 18th century to about 1935, and includes residential, civic, commercial, industrial and religious buildings. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 77, compared to 623 in the entire town. The CDP is in the southwestern corner of Windsor County, south of the geographic center of the town of Weston, in the valley of the upper reaches of the West River, a south-flowing tributary of the Connecticut River. Vermont Route 100 is the main road through the community, leading north 10 miles (16 km) to Ludlow and south 5 miles (8 km) to Londonderry.

Terrible Mountain is a summit in Windsor County, Vermont, in the United States. With an elevation of 2,694 feet (821 m), Terrible Mountain is the 214th highest summit in the state of Vermont. Terrible Mountain was likely so named by early settlers due to its terrain.

Okemo State Forest covers 7,466 acres (30.21 km2) in Andover, Ludlow, Mount Holly and Weston, Vermont, United States, in Windsor and Rutland Counties. Okemo Mountain Resort is located in the forest. The forest is managed by the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation. Activities in the forest include hiking, biking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling and hunting. Portions of the forest are open to primitive camping. Access is both by state and town road as well as state forest highways (4WD gravel roads). Okemo State Forest is home to the 798-acre Terrible Mountain Natural Area.

The Green Mountain Cottage is a historic tourist accommodation at 61 Church Street in Mount Holly, Vermont. Built about 1853 as a farm house, it was converted into a tourist house in the 1880s, and has undergone numerous alterations which give it a predominantly Colonial Revival feel. The house, along with a period barn, were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2021. It is now a private residence.

Belmont is an unincorporated community in the town of Mount Holly in Rutland County, Vermont, United States. Belmont is about six miles west of the village of Ludlow.

The Crowley Cheese Factory is a historic factory at 14 Crowley Lane in Healdville, Vermont. It is the home of the Crowley Cheese Company, which is believed to be the oldest indigenous manufacturer of cheese in the United States. The factory was built in 1881, and still makes cheese using its original methods and recipes. The factory was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Andover is a town in Windsor County, Vermont, United States. The population was 568 at the 2020 census.
