Tuixent

Josa i Tuixén or Josa i Tuixent is a municipality in the comarca of the Alt Urgell in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated on the southern side of the Pyrenean range of Serra del Cadí in the east of the comarca. The ajuntament (town hall) is located in Tuixén. Local roads link the municipality with La Seu d'Urgell and with Sant Llorenç de Morunys. It is a centre for Nordic skiing.

The Cardener is a river in Catalonia, Spain. Its source is at Les Fonts del Cardener in the municipality of La Coma i la Pedra (Solsonès) at an elevation of 1,050 metres (3,440 ft). It drains a basin of 1,500 square kilometres (580 sq mi). It passes through the reservoir of Sant Ponç (25 hm3) between Olius and Clariana de Cardener (Solsonès), Cardona, Súria and Manresa (Bages) before joining the Llobregat from the left at Castellgalí (Bages).

It is within the confines of Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park in the Pyrenees, to the west of Pedraforca. Gósol is the only municipality in Berguedà which is in the province of Lleida rather than that of Barcelona. It is also a party to the Judicial district of La Seu d'Urgell.

The Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park (Catalan: Parc Natural del Cadí-Moixeró) is a natural park to the north of Catalonia, Spain, near the border with Andorra. The park was established in 1983 and encompasses 41,060 hectares (101,500 acres) of mountainous terrain in the comarques of Alt Urgell, Berguedà and Cerdanya. It stretches for more than 30 kilometers over the mountain ranges of Serra del Cadí and Serra de Moixeró, with Vulturó standing at 2,648 metres (8,688 ft) as its highest point.

Saldes is a municipality in the comarca of the Berguedà in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated at the foot of the Pedraforca mountain (2,497 m (8,192 ft)) in the north of the comarca. Deposits of lignite are extracted commercially. The village is linked to Guardiola de Berguedà by a local road. The monastery Sant Sebastià del Sull is located in Saldes.
