Vulturó

The Serra del Cadí is a mountain range in the north of Catalonia, Spain, part of the Pre-Pyrenees. Its highest peak is the Vulturó, with an altitude of 2,648 metres (8,688 ft). It stretches from east to west between Alt Urgell and Berguedà. The Llobregat River has its sources in Castellar de n'Hug at an altitude of 1,259 meters on the Serra del Cadí.

The Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park (Catalan: Parc Natural del Cadí-Moixeró) is a natural park to the north of Catalonia, Spain, near the border with Andorra. The park was established in 1983 and encompasses 41,060 hectares (101,500 acres) of mountainous terrain in the comarques of Alt Urgell, Berguedà and Cerdanya. It stretches for more than 30 kilometers over the mountain ranges of Serra del Cadí and Serra de Moixeró, with Vulturó standing at 2,648 metres (8,688 ft) as its highest point.

It is situated on the southern side of the Pyrenean range of Serra del Cadí in the east of the comarca. The ajuntament (town hall) is located in Tuixén. Local roads link the municipality with La Seu d'Urgell and with Sant Llorenç de Morunys. It is a centre for Nordic skiing.

Deposits of lignite are extracted commercially. The village is linked to Guardiola de Berguedà by a local road. The monastery Sant Sebastià del Sull is located in Saldes.
