Simonsberg (English: Simon's Mountain) is part of the Cape Fold Belt in the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is located between the towns of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek, forming a prominent 1399 m high mountain, as it is detached from the other ranges in the winelands region. Simonsberg is named after Simon van der Stel, first governor of the Cape and founder and namesake of Stellenbosch and Simon's Town. The mountain has 7 caves as part of a mining project for silver.

It is situated near the North Sea coast, approx. 6 km northwest of Husum. Located on the edge of the village is the Mikkelberg-Kunst-und-Cricket Center, a cricket ground which has in the past held neutral Women's One Day Internationals between Denmark Women and the Netherlands Women. Hattstedt is part of the Amt ("collective municipality") Nordsee-Treene. Hattstedt was the home of the last two speakers of Southern Goesharde Frisian until it became extinct with their deaths in 1980 and 1981.

(North Frisian: di Ströön) is a peninsula and former island in North Frisia on the North Sea coast of Germany. It is part of the Nordfriesland district in the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein. Its area is 50 km² and its population is 2,300. Nordstrand has two municipalities, Nordstrand and smaller Elisabeth-Sophien-Koog, which are part of the Amt Nordsee-Treene. In medieval times Nordstrand was a part of the larger island of Strand, which was torn into pieces in a disastrous storm tide in 1634. More than 6,000 people drowned. Before 1634 the area of the island was about 210 square miles (540 km2). Other remnants of Strand are Pellworm and some Halligen islets. Similar storm surge destruction occurred in 1362 when the town of Rungholt and 28 churches (out of 59 at that time) with the associated villages perished Nordstrand is accessible by road over a causeway, which connects to the mainland and was built in 1936. In 1987 the polder Beltringharder Koog was completed, turning the former island into a peninsula.

The Castle in front of Husum (German: Schloss vor Husum), originally named due to its location in front of the city boundaries when it was built, is situated in Husum, in the district of North Frisia in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. It was initially a secondary residence of the ducal house of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf and served as an occasional residence for the Danish royal family during the 18th and 19th centuries. It also accommodated administrative offices, which gradually expanded and eventually occupied most of the building after 1864. These offices remained there until the 20th century, and the castle came to be known as the "royal palace". The castle is the only preserved palace along with the West Coast of Schleswig-Holstein. Today, it serves as a palace museum and cultural center, open to the public for visitation. The palace park is a well-known attraction throughout the region, especially during the annual crocus bloom.

Husum (German pronunciation: [ˈhuːzʊm], North Frisian: Hüsem) is the capital of the Kreis (district) Nordfriesland in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The town was the birthplace of the novelist Theodor Storm, who coined the epithet "the grey town by the sea". It is also the home of the annual international piano festival Raritäten der Klaviermusik (Rarities of Piano Music) founded in 1986.
