The Schiffahrtsmuseum Nordfriesland (Maritime Museum of North Friesland, also spelled with two "f"s) is located at Zingel 15 in Husum, Schleswig-Holstein. Across four levels, the museum showcases the relationships between the city harbor and the Nordfriesland district's involvement in shipbuilding, navigation, whaling, and coastal fishing. Larger exhibits such as a historic slipway, engines, and anchors are located in the outdoor area.

The Castle in front of Husum (German: Schloss vor Husum), originally named due to its location in front of the city boundaries when it was built, is situated in Husum, in the district of North Frisia in the state of Schleswig-Holstein. It was initially a secondary residence of the ducal house of Schleswig-Holstein-Gottorf and served as an occasional residence for the Danish royal family during the 18th and 19th centuries. It also accommodated administrative offices, which gradually expanded and eventually occupied most of the building after 1864. These offices remained there until the 20th century, and the castle came to be known as the "royal palace". The castle is the only preserved palace along with the West Coast of Schleswig-Holstein. Today, it serves as a palace museum and cultural center, open to the public for visitation. The palace park is a well-known attraction throughout the region, especially during the annual crocus bloom.

Husum station is in Husum in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein. It was built in 1910 and is currently operated by Deutsche Bahn, which classifies it as a category 3 station. A less prestigious predecessor (built in 1854 and demolished in 1910) was located at the northern end of the station, another station (Husum Nord) is to the north of the current main station.

The Hermann Tast School (German:Hermann-Tast-Schule) is a humanistic high school in Husum. It was founded in 1527 and named after the theologian Hermann Tast (1490–1551), who was born in Husum. Before 1914, it was called the Husum Grammar School (German:Husumer Gelehrtenschule).

It was formed on 1 January 2008 from the former Ämter Friedrichstadt (except the town Friedrichstadt), Hattstedt, Nordstrand and Treene. The Amt Nordsee-Treene consists of the following municipalities:

Treene was an Amt ("collective municipality") in the district of Nordfriesland, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It was situated between Husum and the Eider River. Its seat was in Mildstedt. In January 2008, it was merged with the Ämter Friedrichstadt, Nordstrand and Hattstedt to form the Amt Nordsee-Treene. The Amt Treene consisted of the following municipalities:

Mikkelberg-Kunst-und-Cricket Center is a cricket ground in Hattstedt, Germany. The first recorded match on the ground was held in 1991 when the Denmark women's national team played the Netherlands in a fixture. The ground later served as a venue for the two teams in four One Day International matches, two in 1997 and two in 1998. These were the only major international cricket matches held in Germany until 2021. It is the home ground of Husum Cricket Club.
