The Holmes Creek Covered Bridge, also called the Lakeshore Covered Bridge, is a one-lane wooden covered bridge that crosses Holmes Creek in Charlotte, Vermont on Lake Road, adjacent to Charlotte Beach. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974. The bridge is of King post truss with tied arch design, one of only 3 left standing in the state. This bridge is also one of the shortest in the state, and it at the lowest elevation being just off the shore of Lake Champlain. According to the placard mounted on the bridge, the town Selectmen originally specified the bridge's width and height to accommodate passage of "a load of hay, high and wide." During the late 1800s, the Holmes family operated what is said to be the largest apple orchard in New England, located just southwest of the bridge. Offshore in Lake Champlain there are submerged pilings; the only remaining evidence of the pier where boats docked to load the fruit.

West Charlotte (shown as Charlotte on federal topographic maps) is an unincorporated village and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Charlotte, Chittenden County, Vermont, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. The CDP is in southwestern Chittenden County, in the western part of the town of Charlotte. U.S. Route 7 runs along the east side of the CDP, leading north 12 miles (19 km) to Burlington and south 10 miles (16 km) to Vergennes. Ferry Road passes through the center of the village, leading west to the Charlotte-Essex Ferry, crossing Lake Champlain to Essex, New York.

Essex Village Historic District is a national historic district located at Essex in Essex County, New York. The district contains 150 contributing buildings. It encompasses the historic core of the hamlet of Essex and primarily contains early-19th-century buildings. The predominant building materials are clapboarded wood frame, brick, and stone and none of the buildings exceed 2+1⁄2 stories in height. The oldest documented structure is Dower House, built prior to 1793. Other notable buildings include Wright's Inn (1798), Essex Free Library (1818), and "Hickory Hill" (1822), "Rosslyn" (ca. 1830), the "Old Brick Schoolhouse" (1830), and "Greystone" (1853). It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Charlotte is a town in Chittenden County, Vermont, United States. The town was named for Queen Charlotte, though unlike Charlotte, North Carolina, Charlottesville, Virginia, and other cities and towns that bear her name, the town's name is pronounced with the accent on the second syllable. The population of the town was 3,912 at the 2020 census.

The Crater Club is a seasonal residential enclave on the shore of Lake Champlain approximately one mile south of Essex, New York within the Adirondack Park region. The club was originally developed as a summer retreat by the naturalist and outdoor writer John Bird Burnham in the early 1900s. Currently the Crater Club consists of over 40 homes, a clubhouse, playing fields, four clay tennis courts, and a waterfront featuring a permanent pier and a screened building known as Burnham's Landing. This latter building is also the headquarters of the Split Rock Yacht Club, which maintains a small but active racing fleet of Cape Cod Knockabout sailboats and holds weekly sailboat races during the summer season open to these and other small one-design classes. Like the Scouting Movement, the Crater Club is an example of the American movement that embraced basic, "frontier" values in contrast to the rampant urbanization and industrialization of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Early members purchased lots from Burnham then built simple cottages that deliberately eschewed the luxuries and decorative excesses of Adirondack "Great Camps" such as those designed by William L. Coulter of Saranac Lake. Crater Club members swam, sailed small boats, and hiked for pleasure, believing in the salubrious effects of exposure to Nature on work-wearied urbanites and their children. Although many of the early residents were in business, others were academics and other professionals. A number of books have been produced by Crater Club residents during their sojourns there, and the club and its facilities still provide a warm community for families seeking a quiet and unassuming place to vacation and recharge in the summer months.

WIZN (106.7 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Vergennes, Vermont, serving the Champlain Valley and Burlington-Plattsburgh radio market. The station broadcasts a classic rock radio format branded as The Wizard. It is owned by Hall Communications. Studios and offices are on Joy Drive in South Burlington. The transmitter is located off Church Hill Road in Charlotte.

Charlotte Congregational Church is a United Church of Christ church in the Town of Charlotte, Vermont, in the United States. Constructed between 1849 and 1851, the Greek Revival style church was dedicated on 8 July 1851. The church replaced the original predecessor wooden church constructed onsite in 1798 that had been damaged by fire in 1848, and subsequently torn down that year. The Church was listed as part of the Charlotte Center Historic District on the Vermont State Register of Historic Places on 9 April 1980 and part of the Charlotte Center Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places on 19 July 1984.

The Charlotte Center Historic District encompasses the historic 19th-century town center of Charlotte, Vermont. Settled c. 1790 and developed mainly in the mid-19th century, the village, stretched along Church Hill Road west of Hinesburg Road, retains a well-preserved 19th-century atmosphere of residential, civic, and commercial buildings. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Hawley's Ferry House, also known just as the Hawley House, is a historic house on the shore of Lake Champlain in Kingsland Bay State Park, Ferrisburgh, Vermont. Built about 1790, it is one of the few surviving 18th-century buildings on the Vermont side of the lake. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.

Kingsland Bay State Park is a 264-acre state park in Ferrisburgh, Vermont, on the shore of Lake Champlain. Activities includes swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, picnicking, bicycling, wildlife watching, and winter sports. Facilities include boat rentals, a small beach with a snack bar, a picnic pavilion with two group grills and a smaller grill, other picnic tables, a horseshoe pit and toilets. There are several buildings available to rent for large group gatherings. The State of Vermont has designated 50 acres as the Kingsland Bay Natural Area. The area includes two peninsulas on Lake Champlain separated by Kingsland Bay that support unspoiled natural plant communities, on the shoreline as well as on and behind their bluffs. The Hulburt (western) portion features a lake bluff cedar-pine forest.

The Tavern on Mutton Hill, also known locally (and incorrectly) as the 1812 Tavern, is a historic former public accommodation on Church Hill Road in Charlotte, Vermont. Built in 1813, it is a prominent local example of Federal period architecture, and the town's only documented 19th-century tavern house built out of brick. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
