Beth El Congregation (Pikesville, Maryland)

Chizuk Amuno Congregation (Hebrew: ק"ק חזוק אמונה) is a large Jewish house of worship affiliated with Conservative Judaism. It is located in Pikesville, Maryland. The congregation's name comes from the Hebrew "Chizzuq 'Emunah", meaning "strengthening the faith". The word "Amuno" is a variant of the Ashkenazi Hebrew pronunciation of "'Emunah".

WBJC (91.5 FM) is a non-commercial, public radio station licensed to Baltimore, Maryland. The station is owned by Baltimore City Community College and it airs a classical music radio format. WBJC holds periodic fundraisers on the air to pay for the station's expenses. The radio studios and offices are on Reisterstown Road in Baltimore. WBJC has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 50,000 watts, the maximum for most stations in Maryland. Its transmitter tower is off Reisterstown Road at Interstate 695 in Pikesville, Maryland, at (39°23′11.0″N 76°43′51.0″W).

Mettam Memorial Baptist Church is a historic Baptist church located at Pikesville, Baltimore County, Maryland. It is a 1+1⁄2-story gable-front stone structure measuring 30-by-40-foot (9.1 by 12.2 m) and built in 1835. It was renovated in 1965–1966 by the Pikesville Lions Club. The church sits on an acre of ground which includes a cemetery. The building is named for its first pastor, Joseph Mettam. The congregation joined with five others to found the Maryland Baptist Union Association, later the Baptist State Mission Board of Maryland.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Grey Rock Mansion is a historic mansion in Pikesville, Maryland, United States, located at 400 Grey Rock Road. The original property was improved in the late 1850s on what was the ancestral homestead of John Eager Howard with a large Italian country estate mansion. In the 1930s the mansion was extensively renovated. The mansion currently has an over 10,000 square feet area, and is used primarily as an event and wedding venue. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2023.

The International Dyslexia Association (IDA) is a non-profit education and advocacy organization devoted to issues surrounding dyslexia. Its headquarters are located in Pikesville, Maryland, United States.The International Dyslexia Association serves individuals with dyslexia, their families, and professionals in the field. It has 9,000 members and it operates with more than 40 branches throughout the United States and Canada, and has global partners in twenty-one countries. IDA has an all-volunteer Board of Directors. The IDA provides information about dyslexia on its website, publishes a peer-reviewed scientific journal (Annals of Dyslexia), publishes newsletter updates to members; provides referral services to individuals and professionals; advocates for the rights of individuals with dyslexia through the legal and Federal legislative systems. IDA is working to match increasing demand for teacher training and teacher preparation aligned with the IDA Knowledge & Practice standards. The IDA provides peer reviewed Fact Sheets and access to regional experts that together help support grassroots state and regional educational and advocacy efforts. The International Dyslexia Association was originally founded as the Orton Dyslexia Society, named after Samuel Orton, an American physician who pioneered the study of learning disabilities and examined the causes and treatment of dyslexia.

Fort Garrison, also known as Oulton's Garrison, Risteau's Garrison, and Olton's Garrison, is a historic fortification building located at Stevenson, Baltimore County, Maryland on Garrison Farms Court. It is a rectangular fieldstone building built about 1695. The fort was built to serve as a stronghold against attacks by Native Americans and was used during the French and Indian War. It is approximately 48 feet long and 18 feet wide with one large stone fireplace. Modifications in the early-19th century raised the height of the fort building adding a second story loft and a wood shingle roof. It was constructed following a 1693 order from Governor Francis Nicholson and his Council. The property was acquired in 1965 by the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.In 2019, the Maryland Historical Trust removed a sign at Fort Garrison after officials received complaints over the use of the term "hostile Indians". The language, dating back to 1934, was removed on the basis of bias against Native Americans.

Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is a private community Jewish day school in Baltimore County, Maryland. It encompasses preschool through twelfth grade. The school has one campus in Pikesville. The campus includes the PreSchool, Lower School (Grades K-4), Middle School (Grades 5–8), and the High School (Grades 9-12). Beth Tfiloh operated a second campus in Glyndon which was sold to Shepherd Pratt in 2007. A new 56,000-square-foot (5,200 m2) Lower School complex was constructed on the Old Court campus and was completed in January 2009. Hebrew school is also offered on the Old Court campus.

With approximately 3,500 members, and seating for 1,600 worshippers, Beth Tfiloh claims it is the largest Modern Orthodox congregation in the United States.

Dumbarton Historic District is a national historic district in Pikesville, Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. The suburban subdivision features curvilinear streets, generously sized lots, and naturalistic landscaping that generally reflect design principles associated with Frederick Law Olmsted. These features characterized the Roland Park Company's seminal developments. Many of subdivision's original residents were prominent Jewish merchants and industrialists, most of whom were of German descent.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

Stevenson is an unincorporated community located in the Green Spring Valley in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. From 1830 until 1955, this community was served by the Green Spring Valley Branch of the old Northern Central Railway (later part of the Pennsylvania Railroad). Primarily a residential area, it is the site of the main campus of Stevenson University (formerly Villa Julie College), which also has a campus in Owings Mills. It is also home to St. Timothy's School, an all-girls boarding and day high school. Fort Garrison was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.
