The International Dyslexia Association (IDA) is a non-profit education and advocacy organization devoted to issues surrounding dyslexia. Its headquarters are located in Pikesville, Maryland, United States.The International Dyslexia Association serves individuals with dyslexia, their families, and professionals in the field. It has 9,000 members and it operates with more than 40 branches throughout the United States and Canada, and has global partners in twenty-one countries. IDA has an all-volunteer Board of Directors. The IDA provides information about dyslexia on its website, publishes a peer-reviewed scientific journal (Annals of Dyslexia), publishes newsletter updates to members; provides referral services to individuals and professionals; advocates for the rights of individuals with dyslexia through the legal and Federal legislative systems. IDA is working to match increasing demand for teacher training and teacher preparation aligned with the IDA Knowledge & Practice standards. The IDA provides peer reviewed Fact Sheets and access to regional experts that together help support grassroots state and regional educational and advocacy efforts. The International Dyslexia Association was originally founded as the Orton Dyslexia Society, named after Samuel Orton, an American physician who pioneered the study of learning disabilities and examined the causes and treatment of dyslexia.

Beth El Congregation is a synagogue located in Pikesville, Maryland. Established in 1948, Beth El provides worship in the Conservative tradition.

Grey Rock Mansion is a historic mansion in Pikesville, Maryland, United States, located at 400 Grey Rock Road. The original property was improved in the late 1850s on what was the ancestral homestead of John Eager Howard with a large Italian country estate mansion. In the 1930s the mansion was extensively renovated. The mansion currently has an over 10,000 square feet area, and is used primarily as an event and wedding venue. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2023.

The Maryland State Police (MSP), officially the Maryland Department of State Police (MDSP), is the official state police force of the U.S. state of Maryland. The Maryland State Police is headquartered at 1201 Reisterstown Road in the Pikesville CDP in unincorporated Baltimore County.

Mettam Memorial Baptist Church is a historic Baptist church located at Pikesville, Baltimore County, Maryland. It is a 1+1⁄2-story gable-front stone structure measuring 30-by-40-foot (9.1 by 12.2 m) and built in 1835. It was renovated in 1965–1966 by the Pikesville Lions Club. The church sits on an acre of ground which includes a cemetery. The building is named for its first pastor, Joseph Mettam. The congregation joined with five others to found the Maryland Baptist Union Association, later the Baptist State Mission Board of Maryland.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Chizuk Amuno Congregation (Hebrew: ק"ק חזוק אמונה) is a large Jewish house of worship affiliated with Conservative Judaism. It is located in Pikesville, Maryland. The congregation's name comes from the Hebrew "Chizzuq 'Emunah", meaning "strengthening the faith". The word "Amuno" is a variant of the Ashkenazi Hebrew pronunciation of "'Emunah".

The Pikesville Armory was built in 1903 to support the expansion of the National Guard program. The second-oldest armory in Maryland, it was designed by architects Wyatt and Nolting.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Old Court station is a Metro SubwayLink station in Lochearn, Maryland. It is the second most northern and western station on the line, with approximately 625 parking spaces. Three buses currently serve this station: 92 to Scotts Level Road (SB/WB)/ Velvet Valley (NB) or Glen Avenue (EB) 83 to Mondawmin Metro Subway Station (SB) 37 to Patapsco Light Rail Stop (SB)

Wester Ogle is a historic home located at Pikesville, Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. It is a large, Federal-influenced house constructed about 1842. It is constructed of stucco-covered stone, and stands three stories high over an excavated basement, three bays wide by one room deep. Also on the property are a 1+1⁄2-story stone-and-frame tenant house and the stone foundations of a 19th-century barn and a stable. The property upon which Wester Ogle is located has remained in the Lyon family since approximately 1745.Wester Ogle was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Sudbrook Park is a historic neighborhood near Pikesville, Maryland located just northwest of the Baltimore City limits in Baltimore County. The community dates to 1889 when it was designed by American landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, Sr. (1822–1903) and developed by the Sudbrook Company. Known most for designing well-known urban projects like Central Park in New York City, Olmsted conceived this "suburban village" with curved roads and open green spaces, traits that set the community apart from its contemporaries. Two homes in the district were designed by architect George Archer in the Colonial Revival style.Sudbrook Park was registered on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, and from 1993 to 1999 portions of Sudbrook Park became listed as Baltimore County Historic Districts. Today, the community continues to uphold Olmsted's vision through community association regulations. It is a tight-knit community and holds several annual events and neighborhood activities.

Dumbarton Historic District is a national historic district in Pikesville, Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. The suburban subdivision features curvilinear streets, generously sized lots, and naturalistic landscaping that generally reflect design principles associated with Frederick Law Olmsted. These features characterized the Roland Park Company's seminal developments. Many of subdivision's original residents were prominent Jewish merchants and industrialists, most of whom were of German descent.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.
