Finchdean

Idsworth is an isolated hamlet, with mediaeval Saxon origins, in the East Hampshire district and South Downs National Park in Hampshire, England. Formerly the centre of a Norman manor, its small population means the place is one of a few small old parishes in the area in a civil parish in terms of the third tier of local government, namely Rowlands Castle.Idsworth remains an ecclesiastical parish in the Church of England, the only place of worship of which is the tenth-century St Huberts Chapel. It has mediaeval paintings on the north wall and surrounding the altar window on the east wall. It is promoted by the Diocese as an arranged retreat, for seasonal walkers by public footpath, as "the little church in the field".The place occupies a cross-section of a small valley, centred 1 mile (1.5 km) north of its daughter hamlet and former main manor, much more populous than Idsworth – today considered a village – Finchdean, and 2.3 miles (3.6 km) east of Horndean. It has a long border with West Sussex border. The area is also home to Idsworth house which was built around 1850 to a design by William Burn. It was converted into apartments in 1977.The nearest railway station is 2.1 miles (3.3 km) south of the village, at Rowlands Castle.

Rowlands Castle railway station serves the village of Rowland's Castle, Hampshire, England. It is located on the Portsmouth Direct Line, 63 miles 18 chains (101.8 km) down the line from London Waterloo via Woking.

Rowland's Castle is a village and civil parish in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 2.9 miles (4.7 km) north of Havant, on the Hampshire/West Sussex border. The focal point of the village is the village green which is shaped somewhat like a lung. Surrounded by roads it is about 250 yards (230 m) long and about 40 yards (37 m) wide at its eastern end while tapering to almost a point at the western end near the railway arch. The village takes its name from a motte-and-bailey castle, the remains of which are situated to the south of Redhill Road and west of the railway line, east of the current centre of the village.

Woodcroft Halt railway station was a former railway halt located in the parish of Buriton between Rowlands Castle and Petersfield on the Portsmouth Direct Line.

Chalton is a small village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Clanfield, in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 2.3 miles (3.7 km) north-east of Horndean and just east of the A3. The nearest railway station is 3.1 miles (5 km) south of the village, at Rowlands Castle. In 1931 the parish had a population of 158. On 1 April 1932 the parish was abolished and merged with Clanfield, part also went to form Rowlands Castle.

Havant Academy is a mixed secondary school located in the Leigh Park area of Havant in the English county of Hampshire. The school is situated at the edge of Staunton Country Park.

Blendworth is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Horndean, in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It lies 0.4 miles (0.6 km) northeast of Horndean just east off the A3 road. The village has a population of fewer than 100 people, in 1931 the parish had a population of 398. On 1 April 1932 the parish was abolished and merged with Horndean, Rowlands Castle and Havant. The church, Holy Trinity, was erected in 1850–51, and until recently had a C of E Infant School next to it. Blendworth also has a brass band. and had stables until 2022 when all the land belonging to Myrtle Farm - which included the stables - was sold. The nearest railway station is 2.2 miles (3.5 km) southeast of the village, at Rowlands Castle. The village is also close to Chalton, Finchdean and Rowlands Castle.

Staunton Country Park is a listed Regency landscaped parkland and forest encompassing approximately 1,000 acres (4.0 km2) in Hampshire, England.An ornamental farm, ornamental lake, follies, maze, walled garden and glasshouses can be found within it. Entry to the parkland itself is free, however there is an associated visitor centre, with animals and attractions, which is not free. It is situated between Leigh Park and Rowlands Castle, near Havant.

Stansted Park (including Stansted House) is an Edwardian country house in the parish of Stoughton, West Sussex, England. It is near the city of Chichester, and also the village of Rowlands Castle to the west over the border in Hampshire. The house is set in the 1,800-acre (7.3 km2) park, with woodland and open land grazed by deer. Stansted House has Carolean revival decor and is listed Grade II*. The surrounding area, Stansted Park, is also listed Grade II*.

Butser Ancient Farm is an archaeological open-air museum and experimental archaeology site located near Petersfield in Hampshire, southern England. Butser features experimental reconstructions of prehistoric, Romano-British and Anglo-Saxon buildings. Examples of Neolithic dwellings, Iron Age roundhouses, a Romano-British villa and an early Saxon house are on display. The site is used as both a tourist attraction and a site for the undertaking of experimental archaeology. In this latter capacity, it was designed so that archaeologists could learn more about the agricultural and domestic economy in Britain during the millennium that lasted from circa 400 BCE to 400 CE, in what was the Late British Iron Age and Romano-British periods.Founded in 1970 by the Council for British Archaeology, in 1972 they recruited experimental archaeologist Peter J. Reynolds to run the site as project director. It was initially located on the site of a Bronze and Iron Age farmstead on Butser Hill, but in 1989 relocated to Hillscombe Down, and in 1991 to Bascombe Copse on the slopes of Windmill Hill. The farm is open to the public and runs various events throughout the year. Archaeologist Mick Aston commented that "Virtually all the reconstruction drawings of Iron Age settlements now to be seen in books are based" on the work at Butser Farm, and that it "revolutionised the way in which the pre-Roman Iron Age economy was perceived".

Hollybank House near Emsworth in Hampshire, England, is a building of historical significance and is Grade II listed on the English Heritage Register. It was built in about 1825 and was home to many notable residents over the next two centuries. Today it is a Country House B&B and caters for special events including weddings.

Chalton Windmill is a Grade II listed tower mill on the top of Windmill Hill at Chalton, Hampshire, England, which has been converted to residential use.
