The Allegheny Observatory is an American astronomical research institution, a part of the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Pittsburgh. The facility is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (ref. # 79002157, added June 22, 1979) and is designated as a Pennsylvania state and Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation historic landmark.

Perry Traditional Academy, also known as Perry High School, is a high school in the Perry North neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Perry is one of ten secondary schools in the Pittsburgh Public Schools. Opened during the 1922-1923 school year, Perry has provided quality education to the youth of the Northside of Pittsburgh and the City of Pittsburgh for a century.

The station's effective radiated power of 55,000 watts exceeds the maximum limit set by the FCC for a Class B FM radio station.WDVE uses HD Radio and broadcasts a sports format on its HD2 subchannel branded as Steelers Nation Radio.

KDKA-TV (channel 2) is a television station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States, airing programming from the CBS network. It is owned and operated by the network's CBS News and Stations division alongside Jeannette-licensed CW affiliate WPCW (channel 19). Both stations share studios at the Gateway Center in downtown Pittsburgh, while KDKA-TV's transmitter is located in the city's Perry North neighborhood. KDKA-TV, along with sister station KYW-TV in Philadelphia, are the only CBS-affiliated stations east of the Mississippi River with "K" call signs. KDKA-TV is available on cable in parts of the Johnstown–Altoona, Wheeling–Steubenville and Youngstown areas, as well as several other out-of-market cable systems in northwestern Pennsylvania, western Maryland, northeastern and east-central Ohio, and north-central West Virginia. The furthest south KDKA-TV is carried on cable is in Beverly, West Virginia.

WXDX-FM (105.9 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania known as 105.9 The X. It airs an alternative rock radio format and is owned by iHeartMedia. The studios and offices are in Foster Plaza on Holiday Drive in Green Tree, Pennsylvania, but using a Pittsburgh address. WXDX is the flagship radio station of the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team. WXDX-FM has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 15,500 watts. Its transmitter is located off Swanson Street in Pittsburgh's North Side, on a tower shared with KDKA-TV 2 and other FM stations. WXDX-FM broadcast using HD Radio technology.

It is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group alongside dual CW/MyNetworkTV affiliate WPNT (channel 22). Both stations share studios on Ivory Avenue in the city's Summer Hill neighborhood, where WPGH-TV's transmitter is also located.

It is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group alongside Fox affiliate WPGH-TV (channel 53). Both stations share studios on Ivory Avenue in the city's Summer Hill section, where WPNT's transmitter is also located.

The houses at 2501–2531 Charles Street in the Perry South neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, were built in 1885. The row originally included 25 nearly identical houses, 13 feet wide and 35 feet deep. All but 2 of the buildings survive. They each have two rooms on the first floor, a parlor and a kitchen, and two bedrooms on the second floor. A third bedroom comprises the third floor behind the mansard roof. The houses rise gradually with the street, stepping up about 2 feet every fifth house. Every fifth house also has a large decorative gable over the mansard roof.These row houses were built by William A. Stone, who later became governor of Pennsylvania. In 1887 Stone built a similar set of rowhouses on Brightridge Street. The Charles Street row was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 15, 1984.

McClure Township was a township in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania within what is now the North Side of Pittsburgh. It was formed in 1859 from parts of Ross, Reserve, and Robinson townships. Its original territory, bordering Allegheny City and Manchester Borough on the south and the Ohio River on the west, included the Woods Run area and present-day Brighton Heights. Allegheny annexed portions of McClure in 1867 and 1870, and the remainder in 1873.

The Clifton Incline was a funicular that operated from 1889 to 1905 in what is now the Perry Hilltop neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It extended from its base at Sarah Street (now Strauss Street) at the intersection with Myrtle Street (now the closed Metcalf Street) to its top landing at Clifton Park near the end of Clifton Street (now Chautauqua Street). Businessman William McCreery co-founded the incline to facilitate access to a residential neighborhood developed from his former estate. The Clifton Avenue Incline Plane Company, formed for the purpose of erecting and operating the incline, was chartered on June 25, 1888. Within a year of that date, McCreery offered free incline rides to property auctions on the hill.There were two cars, only one of which carried passengers, the other one being a dummy car serving as a counterweight. A single operator performed the duties of engineer, conductor, and fireman.The incline closed after an accident on November 10, 1905, in which the passenger car—empty at the time—broke loose, hurtled down the track, plowed through the waiting room on Sarah Street and smashed into the front steps of a house.

The John A. Brashear House and Factory in the Perry South neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was built in 1886. Former home of astronomer John Brashear (1840–1920), who was described by former Pennsylvania Governor Martin Grove Brumbaugh as "Pennsylvania's most eminent citizen," the site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on December 6, 2012.

Union Dale Cemetery is a cemetery at 2200 Brighton Road, in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The cemetery is divided into three parts: Division 1 (north side), east of Brighton Road and north of Marshall Avenue; Division 2 (south side), east of Brighton Road and south of Marshall Avenue; Division 3 (west side), west of Brighton Road and south of Island Avenue. Divisions 1 and 2 are part of the Perry Hilltop neighborhood, and Division 3 is in the California-Kirkbride neighborhood, with Brighton Road the border between the neighborhoods.
