Malibu Mar Vista is a former settlement in the Malibu area of western Los Angeles County, California.It lay at an elevation of 1831 feet (558 m) in the Santa Monica Mountains.Malibu Mar Vista still appeared on USGS maps as of 1932.

Malibu Vista is an unincorporated community in Los Angeles County, California, United States. Malibu Vista is located in the Santa Monica Mountains 1.6 miles (2.6 km) north of the Pacific Ocean at Malibu. Malibu Vista, one of a handful of residential tracts in the Malibu–Topanga hills, is the one relatively closest to Point Dume, and is in the same canyon as Malibu Mar Vista (but closer to the beach).

California's 33rd congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of California. The district is currently represented by Democrat Pete Aguilar. From January 3, 2023, following the 2020 redistricting cycle, the district centered on San Bernardino.

Solstice Canyon is a park within the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area in Malibu, California. Located off Corral Canyon Road from Pacific Coast Highway, the canyon runs north-to-south about a mile east of Point Dume. Solstice Canyon opened on June 20, 1988 and was created out of land owned by Fred and Florence Roberts. Before becoming a park the land was known as Roberts Ranch from 1932 to 1988. Roberts Ranch hosted 25 acres to space technology laboratories to conduct research for the Pioneer Series for NASA.In 2003, during excavation for the parking lot, a Chumash grave site was discovered.

Castro Peak, at 2,826 feet (861 m), is the highest peak in the middle part of the Santa Monica Mountains and is in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. The town of Malibu is located to the southeast of the peak. The fire lookout tower that was once located on Castro Peak has been moved to Henninger Flats in the San Gabriel Mountains for display.

El Nido (Spanish for "The Nest") is a residential neighborhood in Corral Canyon in unincorporated Los Angeles County, California, United States. The community, originally developed in the 1920s, is in the Santa Monica Mountains along the northern border of Malibu. There are two developments in Corral Canyon, El Nido is the lower of the two. The other was known as Newell in 1958 and has more recently been known as Malibu Bowl. The El Nido houses look down on Solstice Canyon, the so-called "Mystery Silo" (used by TRW and JPL scientists in the mid-20th-century for testing of satellite equipment away from sources of electromagnetic interference), and a long-disused tract owned by the DWP that is prone to landslides. There are 5.2 homes per acre in El Nido.The 2007 Corral Canyon fire destroyed 53 homes including a number in El Nido.The Malibu El Nido is not to be confused with the Redondo Beach El Nido, along the former Hawthorne–El Nido Line of the Pacific Electric railway.

Passages Malibu Addiction Treatment Center, known as Passages Malibu, is a for-profit addiction treatment facility located in Malibu, California and founded by Pax and Chris Prentiss in 2001. Passages Ventura opened in 2009 in Port Hueneme, California.

Ramirez Canyon Park is a public park owned by the state of California. Barbra Streisand donated this estate to the state-run Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy in 1993. The estate has 22.5 acres (9.1 ha) of lush vegetation, streams, and bridges. There are five homes on the estate.An access trail from Kanan Dume Road was approved in 2015. Trails to connect Ramirez Canyon with Escondido Canyon and Corral Canyon parks are being planned.The park was renamed Ramirez Canyon Park in 2009. In May 2011, Governor Jerry Brown announced a plan to sell the park as part of a budget he has put forward. The sale of the park was opposed by the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, which owns and manages the park.In the 2018 massive California fires, the Peach House, the most famous structure of former Barbra Streisand's Malibu estate, which was donated to the state as open space, was completely destroyed . Four other buildings were saved in what is known as Ramirez Canyon Park (MRCA).

Malibou Lake is a small reservoir surrounded by a residential development in the Santa Monica Mountains near Agoura Hills, California. Adjacent to Malibu Creek State Park and within the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, it is situated between Malibu Beach and the Conejo Valley. It was created in 1922 after the Malibu Lake Club Dam was built at the confluence of two creeks. The lake, and community of 250 residents are private.The 350 acres (140 ha) site includes rugged mountain terrain, exclusive ranch houses, cabins and a club, It has been a popular venue for filming due to its proximity to the Hollywood studios. About 100 Hollywood movies have been filmed since the silent film period.

The Corral Canyon is a valley of the Santa Monica Mountains that slopes down to the striking and diverse terrain of the Malibu coast.Corral Canyon State Park protects the southern portion of the valley and is managed and operated by the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority in partnership with the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy. A loop trail climbs the slope of the valley within the park and loops back to the start. The trail starts at a small parking area on Pacific Coast Highway that runs along a narrow coastal terrace.

Century Lake is an artificial lake in the Santa Monica Mountains of the U.S. state of California, constructed in 1910 as part of the Crags country club by the creation of a 50-foot-tall dam on Malibu Creek. It is named after 20th Century Fox, which owned the site from 1946 to 1974. In 1974 the lake became part of Malibu Creek State Park. The lake is also near the film sites of M*A*S*H and Planet of the Apes.

Seminole Hot Springs is an unincorporated community in Los Angeles County, California, United States. Seminole Hot Springs is located in the Santa Monica Mountains near Cornell, 3.6 miles (5.8 km) south-southeast of Agoura Hills at an elevation of 932 feet (284 m).
